Cage The Elephant formed in Bowling Green, Kentucky in 2006. "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked" (2008) -- yes, that slide guitar lends some country blues flavor. The rhythms seem to aspire to a sorta hip hop shuffle to me, psychedelic groovy, like Beck "Loser" almost. The sing song story telling evokes a bit of "Santeria" by Sublime (1996) and a bit of "Fly" by Sugar Ray (1997). The Heavy "Short Change Hero" (2009), and The Black Keys "Little Black Submarines" (2011) echo all these in turn. "Come a Little Closer" and "Cigarette Daydreams" were big hits for Cage The Elephant back in 2013. "Spiderhead" from that same year has a catchy chorus with a sound like Weezer. Fuzzy pop, catchy tunes. "Cold Cold Cold" (2017) sounds like a long lost sixties minor modal pop song, with a nice samba bridge to the chorus. When it comes to the aughts, check out TV On The Radio "Staring at the Sun" (2004).
