Yea but the display screen graphics, reaction time, and functionality are very important especially when automakers are making it so that some settings and features can only be accessed via the touch screen. Personal story: I had a 2003 Infiniti M45 for 3 years with a (non-touch screen) display that felt like it was designed in hell by Satan himself. After living with the very confusing user interface that sometimes required cycling through multiple menus and/or buttons to do something that should have been simple (like adjusting an HVAC setting), and that did not save certain selections upon turning off the car, I decided I couldn’t take it anymore and got a new car with a more user-friendly set up. After such an experience, I will NEVER purchase another car with a display screen without renting said car first and extensively testing out how well the display user interface works. So yes, the display screen can be a deal breaker all in itself. BTW, remember how much flak Acura/Honda received for their dreadfully piss-poor two-tier screen displays on recent models?
As it was explained in the video, all of these cars were pointed very closely. It's the features and the comfort that matter most when people are shopping for brand new cars. You can argue on the front of reliability but i'm sure nobody's biting their nails wondering if any of these 3 cars won't last them at least 5 years if they need it to. If someone were rating a Mustang on its infotainment screen then of course you'd have a case in your favor. But these things really matter to consumers of these vehicles, if they didn't, we wouldn't have screens at all. While looks are subjective, the Camry's is very clearly the hardest to swallow, even just the LE trims. The Altima would have my vote on best looking exterior and the Honda has a much better interior than both of the other two... probably because Honda doesn't HAVE a higher tier sedan they need to protect, like Nissan's Maxima and Toyota's Avalon. Nissan has the best tech of the 3, and the Camry has the best (feeling) power because it can have a V6. Which one you buy is up to you. Altima beat the Camry when I was shopping for my next car, so this video fits what I also found out for myself. Unless you drive all 3 of them you've got to be mindful of everything

MoNo K My family is Accord and Lexus family tho..I’m told the new Accord is equipped with turbo..which is unfortunate because it wears the engine faster.. plummeting the reliability.. which in my opinion makes the Honda useless
All 3 have their pros and cons. Nissan offers the smoothest ride and more interior room plus top mpg in the group. Toyota will outlast anything on the road, Honda has decent reliability and inovation.

@@lisaeckman27 I test drove the Camry and loved it, but chose a 2017 Accord for the price. Both have great acceleration. No lag on either one. They say that Toyota has perfected their CVT, but I have been driving my Accord for 6 days now and have not felt anything strange about it.
Lol someone else said it, the same guy that liked the Accord’s heavy feel liked the light feel of the Altima. What’s even more strange is that the Accord is actually the lightest car here. I don’t know about the Altima, but I do know that the Camry drives far better than the jittery Accord with its twitchy steering. I also know that the Camry’s interior uses far better material than the Accord. In closing, the Camry came in last because it drives nice but Camry buyers don’t care about a car that drives nice?? (What the heck does that even mean??). And you docked points for the infotainment system while testing the older version of the system as the new system have Apple Car Play and Alexa. Also, I don’t know if many know, but Toyota’s “dated” graphics can be changed by simply changing the theme of the display in the settings menu. That’s simply the default theme, the other themes are nicer. I also don’t think it’s fair that the guy complaining about leg room is on the bigger side, I’m not trying to be rude, but nit every car will fit everyone. The Camry will fit most 4 adults comfortably. Besides, the Accord has no headroom and I would happily trade 2” of legroom for a more upright greenhouse and more headroom. Also, docking points for interior design is so arbitrary! You think The Accord looks good? I think both the Accord and Altima look like pseudo Audi designs. I give the Camry 5 points for sheer originality. 1 Camry 2 Altima 3 Accord
Cecil L .... I wouldn’t touch an Altima and it’s CVT with a 10 ft pole ..... Honda is just plain ugly and I never have understood sticking a tablet on top of the dashboard instead of integrating it ..... looks like an “afterthought” ..... I think Honda’s have CVT’S now too and I sure wouldn’t want a “turbo” engine .... just something more to break.
Honda Accord and Nissan Altima need to stop using CVT Transmissions!!, these cars have so much potential just put in a normal automatic or manual please!!
I had an 13 Nissan Sentra which needed a new transmission at just under 75k, I'll never buy Nissan again with the CVT - they're known to have transmission issues, which is why I'm surprised Nissan is #2 over the Camry. I'm now a 2018 Camry owner, I love it but wish they had Android Auto though.
I have a 2006 Altima that a purchased new and it just passed 300k miles on original Transmission and Engine. All I ever done was regualr maintenance. If you take care of your car it will run. I'm proof that Nissan makes reliable cars!
Jeremy J I just purchased an 2017 Nissan Altima in September and they have already had to replace my transmission already and my car has less than 30,000 miles on it. Always wanted a Nissan but very disappointed in them now.
After staring at it for a while and seeing them more on the road it very slowly started to grow on me. Because overall the only thing that really holds it back is the rear head room from the fastback styling and unconventional head/taillight designs. The fact that Accord drives more like a luxury sedan in terms of power and noise is insane
I like the Accord but my favorite is the Mazda 6 specifically the top one with Napa leather! & again the camry I think it's gonna be the king of the seals.
I think the Mazda 6 is a very underrated car and it should’ve been in this comparison video. Unfortunately, it gets overshadowed by these 3 cars. My friend has a Mazda 6. It’s a nice car and he has no issues with it.
I see people say that Toyota sells more than the Honda...On top of that, Honda has resisted as other Asian brands have begun relying on sales to daily rental companies to boost numbers in the fashion the Detroit 3 once did. “In February, more than 18% of Toyota’s new vehicle sales were to fleets. Honda does no fleet business.
Are you sure? I see more people rent Corolla and Ubers drive honda sports slightly more than Camrys. I'm nyc so theres hundreds of ubers everywhere you go here. Usually in a car crash lol
Honda does not do fleet business because they cannot meet the demands of both sides. Even with Toyota doing a percentage of fleet sales, their cars STILL hold more value than Honda's. So in essence, a sale is a sale.
Mazda 6 Signature and Honda Accord 2.0T sport are the top picks in this segment, despite the Honda's ugly looks. The Mazda should have been included in this test.
@Randy Jackson The question is NOT what is the best SELLING midsize sedan, but what is THE best midsize sedan. And sales numbers are not indicative of how good or bad a car is because a lot of people in this segment simply want an appliance to go from Point A to B. A lot of really excellent cars have not been sales leaders at all, look up automotive history. Predictable, Run of the mill, boring transportation sells in large numbers all the time. example: Nissan Rogue. And you just lost all credibility comparing the new Mazda 6 to a POS like a Chrysler 200, seriously? I have driven the Mazda 6 turbo, Accord sport and the V6 Camry this year. And you don't even have to believe me, go see/read every other review on the new Mazda 6 Turbo. I suggest you go drive them instead of pulling shitty opinions out of your ass. The Toyota to me feels hollow and cheap. Lots of hard plastic and the doors close with a very loose and cheap sounding thunk that rattles m same with the Altima. The accord addresses all of my complaints if the other two with a higher quality materials higher quality assembly quality and fit and finish. As well as structural rigidity! Accord Fot the Win!
Owned a 2k16 Altima. 50k miles gone Not a single problem! Almost no cost without oils change & 2 tires replacement! Don’t know why everybody complaining Altima still though NYC full of Altimas✅
The Altima is really nice like for real. I know someone who has it for a company car. I still have a preference towards American cars like Chevys and Fords. Like my 2014 Malibu with the 2.5 liter drives like a dream compared to other sedans.
I prefer the Camry after all for its ride quality, reliability and lower cost of maintenance . I dont weight apple car play or Android auto that much. I will vote "dislike" for this review.
i've test driven both 3x in the past 2 weeks. The 8-speed isn't smooth, and for a new car, that's concerning. Accord CVT only has to "downshift" once to get the rpms up.. the 8-speed clunks around twice as long to get into gear for ramps and emergency passing situations. Accord also has it's torque below 2k rpms, while Camry you have to wait until 6 or something. With that said, Honda's turbo into a tiny 1.5L engine terrifies me. I have no empirical evidence, but I feel like I can work the Camry motor and not worry.. where I feel like I may blow up the 20ish PSI boosted 1.5L. I gotta make a decision by Saturday and hate the predicament I'm in. I'd just get a 2017 Accord, what I had before being run off the road into a tree, but the newer cars have slightly better crash test ratings... albeit costing me 4+ thousand more in the long-run.
Recent buyer of 2018 Honda Accord Sport Manual Transmission. Here are some reasons I picked the Accord to purchase 1. I did a ton of research. Accord was car of the year for a reason. Don’t believe me? Check out alot of other reviews and the great majority all pick Accord as the best 2. My gf is like the lady in this review and loves the Camry interior, my gf owns a Camry XSE. I prefer the Accord interior. I also liked the over all styling of the Accord the best. 3. People will say Camry is lower cost of ownership, I found that not true. I contacted my insurance lady and Accord is $500 a year cheaper on insurance than Camry. My insurance is through Nationwide. This was before I did the 5 month electronic monitoring that saved me an additional 40% off insurance for the life of the car. I now pay $50 less for full coverage on the Accord than I did for liability for my 20 year old Chevy Silverado. 4. If Apple Car Play or manual transmission are deal breakers for you, then your only choice IS the Accord. 5. Accord is spacious all around. Very comfortable ride, tons of leg room as well. Plenty of room in the back seat and trunk. Also like mentioned in this video, alot of storage space for phone, change, cups etc. Lastly the deal I made. Finding a manual transmission Accord is challenging enough. I was able to get it delivered to my house, free window tint and 6 years free maintenance, all for below invoice. My best friend is the finance manager at a Toyota dealership. I know what invoice looks like 😇😇 So for me, I liked it best of the bunch as far as style, safety, value, ride quality, and all the tech included. If you are in the market, I would encourage you to do your own research.
Camry is the best selling out of all of these cars for a reason. The majority of people don’t care about 0-60 times or if it has a turbo engine. Most want a reliable, comfortable car that will take them from point A to B without any problems for many years. Camry is the best car for that.
christopher Jon exactly, I may not like Honda but I appreciate they don't just give their vehicles away to rental companies just for high sales figures
Why??? I’m trying to but my first and am confused but, I love the Altima, civic, Elantra, and Malibu. Malibu and Altima look great but, are they worth the price for the higher end models??? The Elantras interior is cheap looking and I can’t forget the fire engines. Civic is great but, the design looks very sporty when I prefer a classy look. Heard bad things about Altima but, I can’t help the look of it is so, nice.
jmasoncar s and as to which burger is better is subjective. just like your opinion on these cars. the fact still stands that the Camry is the best seller for a reason.
I have an hour commute, heavy traffic most days. What I have learned over the years is a mid-size sedan is the way to go. Not too small so you don't feel cramped or get sorta pushed around by other drivers. Not too big so you can slip by tight situations. MPG is adds up over the year, so the advantage of an SUV does not balance out for me. Comfort, it's a car not a truck. A sedan has a locking trunk. Safety gear stowed out of the way. If you keep good all season tires with a heavier tread, FWD & traction control will get you through most winters reasonably well....or you just should have stayed home anyway.
I bought a new 2019 Toyota Camry SE yesterday. I love the classic shifter as opposed to other manufacturers who get fancy with the automatic shifter and you have to learn where the P/R/N/D is located; Buttons in Honda are even worse because you can't shift by feel. I don't like Honda's turbo lag, high maintenance CVT, noisy interior, and stuckon iPad as the center console.
I think Hondas are excellent cars but let’s be honest the camry looks the best, has the best engine, and is the most reliable. Camry for the win esp the Xse model
Everybody's hating on the Altima but I think it's much better this year and definitely a better value, you can get awd for the same price as the others with just fwd
I am biased to the accord. I love Hondas and think they’re the best. However I am currently renting an Altima and love it. It is comfortable and refined. I would certainly recommend it to a friend.
I hope you’re right lmao I drove a 2017 Altima SV and I preferred my 2013 Camry SE over it The Altima felt cheap and less premium, and the Toyota wasn’t premium at all lmao
I don't know what to get. I like the Accord but not the current model. I do not hate it but the front grill, the rear and V4. 2016/2017 I like. I currently drive a 2000 Accord V6. Because of Warranty, I might be driving a 2019. There are really no other car makes that I really like.
While I get what you mean, I think that for this comparison they made a good choice to review the most popular trims so that people who cross shop will be looking between these trims
I love all 3 of these... hate the fact suvs are becoming so popular... but when looking at these 3 toyota will be the one on the road longest hands down
@@ajlee6933 I disagree. My Corolla has been nothing but reliable. It also nets 40 mpg, even after 20 years. Add to that the fact that is it is nimble and light wight compared to modern cars and it is actually fun to drive (since it reaches its limit at legal speeds). And yes, I am a bit of a "Honda basher" after having a 2001 Acura MDX with poor quality and then being let down by my 2008 Accord. And recent reliability and quality studies don't show Honda and Acura in the greatest light. Akshay Mahesh I’m not trolling anyone. I’m interacting with people who post unrealistic comments. I stand by my statement that there’s nothing good about a 98 Corolla. I understand that it starts up and drives, but better than a 2008 Honda Accord? That’s just not realistic at all.

Unfortunate that nobody ever does an objective comparison on durability. I am not just interested in comparing cars when they are new. I want to see how they compare at 5 year and 60,000 miles age.
Lol. I was also surprised the Altima beat the Camry. I’ll know for sure which ones better once I start back traveling soon. Camry’s and Altima’s are pretty common at rental lots.
@@ajlee6933 Altima won for a few reasons, granted they might not matter to you specifically, but they tend to in the real world for people who don't know much better: 1) The car looks much better than the Camry on the outside, Nissan was able to capture a very mature but still beautiful and elegant sharpness (and if you haven't seen one in person yet, you'll know what I mean when you do). Meanwhile the Camry looks like it's trying too hard to shed its skin and be something other than a mid-size family sedan... unfortunately I just feel like Toyota missed the mark. 2) Altima, trim for trim, is more affordable than the Camry. 3) Altima, on every trim except SR, can be had with intelligent AWD and a suite of technology including Android Auto and Apple Carplay, and on the middle tier SV trim, has semi autonomous technology that surpasses everyone else and competes with the likes of Tesla. 4) Although it has a less flashy interior, Altima hits back hard with one of the top 3 if not the number 1 most comfortable seats in the industry, and certainly is number 1 in the non-luxury midsize segment, making this the car to be in for any trip longer than 45 minutes if you're given the choice of which to ride along in.

@@chaddanelodge2412 Camry scored a 4/5 making it third in reliability, Honda scored 4.5/5 and came in first for more reliable
All 3 have their pros and cons. Nissan offers the smoothest ride and more interior room plus top mpg in the group. Toyota will outlast anything on the road, Honda has decent reliability and inovation.
the accord definitely has alot more leg room
You guys forgot about the fact that the Altima has optional AWD, unlike its competition
The Camry has optional AWD too

People are going to have different opinions about just about everything to each is own by what Suits You I love my Honda Accord and I'm going to stick with it.
I still drive a '98 Accord. Yes, 1998! It still drives smooth and pushes strong when stepping on the gas. Starting to think of buying a new car...Accord baby!
Although the Honda one, you still should have had the touring especially when comparing it with the Camry XLE
I test drove V6 Camry and it was great. It has 300 hp and looks great. That Honda turbo will be problematic and I don’t like CVT’s.
Idiot the 2.0 Accord has a 10 spd and it's faster than Camry v6
WIGGYDON1 You’re really a jackass. It’s not about speed, it’s about Honda’s problems with turbos. Camry’s naturally aspirated has a strong track record. Did I mention you’re a jackass. 😂
@@stevewise1656 how about those 3.0L V6 naturally asperated sludge buckets that were blowing up Toyota was making? Is that included in the track record?

1 Camry
2 Altima
3 Accord
If you've actually driven these cars, some of these words wouldn't be coming out of your mouth
Kyron Poullard I haven’t driven the Altima, but I have the Camry and Accord and I do believe the Camry is the better car.

I want to like the Accord but I do not like the back of it.
NY Guy yeah the back is not cohesive with the front at all
The whole car is dreadful looking
After staring at it for a while and seeing them more on the road it very slowly started to grow on me. Because overall the only thing that really holds it back is the rear head room from the fastback styling and unconventional head/taillight designs. The fact that Accord drives more like a luxury sedan in terms of power and noise is insane

Owning a couple of altima's, I'll never buy anything with a cvt again! Give me a true auto or a manual, cvt's are horrible in my experience!
i've got 2017 Altima and i agree but i just put it on Ds and it does the same as a auto plus CVT got more power than others.
CVT is trash for sure
Why is it trash?
The smooth ride that u get from a cvt 7 don't get in any auto car

The Altima is really nice like for real. I know someone who has it for a company car. I still have a preference towards American cars like Chevys and Fords. Like my 2014 Malibu with the 2.5 liter drives like a dream compared to other sedans.
Camry is the best!!👍

I prefer the Camry after all for its ride quality, reliability and lower cost of maintenance . I dont weight apple car play or Android auto that much. I will vote "dislike" for this review.
Low maintenance is true. I have a 2014.
Accord very premium 2.0t touring
Altima it's great if you go for the ... platinum VC turbo
And Camry well they do put expensive interior plastic ..
For me there is no competition, I'll take Toyota's 8 speed over any cvt
Ony Guerrero id take a manual over a automatic
No thanks... more money when it fails.
I have an 8 speed Camry and I kinda wish it was a 6 speed just so it would be more predictable.
i've test driven both 3x in the past 2 weeks.

Here are some reasons I picked the Accord to purchase
1. I did a ton of research. Accord was car of the year for a reason. Don’t believe me? Check out alot of other reviews and the great majority all pick Accord as the best
I know what invoice looks like 😇😇
So for me, I liked it best of the bunch as far as style, safety, value, ride quality, and all the tech included. If you are in the market, I would encourage you to do your own research.
I forgot to add, the infotainment system is by far the best in the class.
CAMRY ALL DAY EVERYDAY!!!!

Camry is the best selling out of all of these cars for a reason. The majority of people don’t care about 0-60 times or if it has a turbo engine. Most want a reliable, comfortable car that will take them from point A to B without any problems for many years. Camry is the best car for that.

Camry is better than either of the others.
@@ajlee6933 Altima won for a few reasons, granted they might not matter to you specifically, but they tend to in the real world for people who don't know much better:
1) The car looks much better than the Camry on the outside, Nissan was able to capture a very mature but still beautiful and elegant sharpness (and if you haven't seen one in person yet, you'll know what I mean when you do).
You can't have a test to determine the best Midsize sedan and not include the Mazda 6.
