Karl Mladenovic, known by his stage name Karl Malden ( he changed his surname, I guess Malden sounds better to an American audience than Mladenovic, a typical South Slavic surname), was a great thespian and character actor.
Ahhh yes, Karl Malden, such a great actor. Just this past weekend Streets of Francisco was on Decades so naturally I had to watch over the weekend. Karl was so believable in his role of Mike Stone and although there was a huge age difference between his costar Michael Douglass they made a great team.

A very excellent actor deserved better recognition
A fine and very underrated actor
Loved him in Streets of San Francisco. Thanks for telling us about his story.
.
Thank you Sally! 🙂
Good memories of watching Streets with my parents as a kid.
I loved him, he was a great actor! Especially I loved him in The Streets of San Francisco.
Thank you for this remembrance of a fine actor. When I was unemployed during 2008-2009, reruns of “The Streets of San Francisco” kept me sane.
Thank you Elizabeth! 🙂
One of my favorite Non leading actors and when he acted next to the lead big box actors he was always better in the scenes :)

One correction, Malden died aged 97 - also his adopted surname is an anagram form of his father's given name
Thank you for that! 🙂
A great actor, and a really nice man -- I know that a movie with him in it is going to be good
Karl Malden had a presence on screen. He was great.

The American dream of becoming
Someone rather than living in obscurity being a nobody!
What happened to his nose? Is it some Kind of Scar ? Was it bitten off in a fight ?
@@barbarak2836 Kinda why I asked the Question, to maybe help future views, thank's for the Highlight
An actor always identified by his nose, like Jimmy Durante or even non-actor Richard M. Nixon.
...he was a mean son of a bitch in One Eyed Jacks
mmmmm
