I am a type 2 diabetic that has struggled to get normal blood sugars. I have to be perfect eating, stress free, sleep well, walk after meals, occasionally take meds -all to get into ketosis and have normal sugar. It would be nice to have something every now and again. I applaud her continual emphasis on quality and contents. Now we don’t have to compromise!!

i had trouble with maltodextrin was in potassium from supermarket got leaky gut.( tested then changed potassium and had to heal 1 year with lactobacteries. That period was hell. ) So be careful

For me, Allulose is exactly like erythritol. My pancreas and liver both feel swollen and sore when I use it. It does not give me diarrhea or a stomach ache so it took me weeks to figure out that’s what was causing the soreness under my ribs. Pain went down my left leg into my hip and knee. No sweeteners for me except for a little honey.
Tracking is important! Initially... you should absolutely monitor.. your food intake and exercise. Do you have to track it forever? No.. but you absolutely should intitially probably for at least the first 90 to 120 days. What happens is your eating habits become intutitive! Then you only need to track maybe every 3 to 4 days.. just as a check in.
Absolutely. 😀 But I also found that when eating foods that are packaged (for travel, on trips, etc), even if it says "Keto", people should test it on their body's response. Super eye opening most of the time.

I bought these a few weeks ago & had a few & delish. But like Dr Boz doing a reno & staying in a hotel. Well I’ve got a horrible cold & cough (it’s all in the throat) & I’m using them as ‘honey’ replacement in hot toddy. It works very well
It never ceases to amaze me how misunderstood ketosis and the role of ketones in human physiology is by modern medicine. Not complicated. The liver makes ketones because we require them and you need to let it. Your doctor should be nagging you your ketones aren't high enough. They may as well misunderstand the role of diet... oh wait.
No sugar added gummies at the local grocery store contain 42g of carbs per serving! Always check the carb content to find out how much sugar a food really contains.
Look for maltodextrin also. Read ingredients and most foods with a label get kicked off the menu. Soybean oil is in everything. Big one to avoid for inflammation.
That's exactly why I created Scrummy Sweets. I missed gummies, but I track my glucose and ketones and I couldn't find any that I could eat. Also, as discussed in this video, many natural flavors can have maltodextrin. I had to make sure mine did not. Thanks for sharing.

Honestly I just gave up on candy and eat meat/eggs and treat myself with Rebels Ice cream once a week. Not bad. Gonna try the caramels. Make me a worthers toffee candy and I’ll give you my house. I used to love those. Basically a hard coffee/caramel. Ever tried it. And yes I am watching the video - commented early.

Safflower oil and other PUFA oils are okay but ONLY IF THEY ARE COLD-PRESSED AND ORGANIC. Now that said, here is a challenge for you. Make cough drops without any of the bad ingredients and that are ketogenic. I would pay more for them than anything else that is presently on the market.

Help, I've just ben diagnosed with diverticulitis, I'm 50, female and the information the hospital and the research I've done, all contradict each other on what to eat and what not to eat. Hope you can lead me to somewhere I'll get proper non conflicting information.
I would love to change to allulose but it costs too much here in Japan. I use Erythritol in my coffee and keto snacks, it does not bother me at all and cost is pretty cheap.

Carnivore is worth a try I’ve heard. Easy transition from keto to carnivore.

can someone post a summary of this? I have zero interest in sweets or candy. But there might be some interesting biochemistry. But I'm not going to plow through an entire hour about candy.
For what it's worth, this interview is less about candy, than it is on ingredients and the impact they have on blood sugar and ketones. The interview was sparked because of hidden ingredients in foods and the journey to create something that anyone can eat. Buuut, definitely conversation about the biological impact of ingredients and what's going on under the surface with keto and blood sugar. 🙃
People like you are why we can’t have nice things. So you want to get *free* information without listening to the video? Tough to be you. If you aren’t interested - do something else without leaving rude comments, and let the rest of us enjoy.

This is in contrast to the click-bait style of thumbnail, and the M5M style overdramatic "tease" segment at the beginning.
I'm sure Dr. Boz has someone else doing the edits on the video. It seems like someone who is very "good" at RUclips and the algorithm. I don't think it would be like that if she was doing it herself.

Here is what I said:
1) I requested a summary.
2) I made a statement that I had zero interest in sweets or candy
3) I acknowledged that there might be some interesting material regarding biochemistry in the video
4) I stated my unwillingness to watch for an entire hour to find out if I wanted to watch the video. (at which point it would be too late to **not** watch the video, in the case that it turned out that there wasn't anything of interest to me personally.)
Exactly zero items in that list can be considered "rude".
I am a type 2 diabetic that has struggled to get normal blood sugars. I have to be perfect eating, stress free, sleep well, walk after meals, occasionally take meds -all to get into ketosis and have normal sugar. It would be nice to have something every now and again.
I applaud her continual emphasis on quality and contents. Now we don’t have to compromise!!
