Why do you have comments turned off on some of your videos? The video about the Whitetail Legend Pro was right on. I had the exact string stop problem happen to me at about 250 shots also. I enjoy your channel. Very real and honest. Thanks for the information you provide.
Bought my daughter an Elite Ember as her first bow. Nice bow. About the only minus is the chrono'd speed is a bit low, but it shoots very well. No regrets at all.
It looks like Martin and Obsession are both about out of business. I was very much interested in their bows, but both of their websites have been down for several months and Martin says that they are no longer taking orders. Come on, it doesn't take four months to update a website. As a consumer I'd be interested in both Marin and Obsession but I'm just afraid they aren't going to be around. Does anyone know what's going on with them?
A buddy of mine shoots a $750 PSE Drive 3B XL, 29" DL at 70 lbs. That bow is bad ass and at that price point its a steal. The draw cycle is amazing(no hump at the nd) and its plenty fast. His KE is 70 with a 498 grain arrow at 265 fps. If your on a budget- that's a no brainer.
Mathews, Hoyt, bowtech, and PSE I’m guessing? Mathews owns another company that sells real budget bows named mission. Much cheaper than Martin or obsession. So 🤷🏼♂️
Shot them all this weekend.... The Whitetail legend Pro opened my eyes !!!! It lacks some refinent in the risers machining & finish but,,, it drew back like a mild aggressive cammed bow does, holds nice and shoots very well,, very little vibration compared to the big 4 & it didn't even have dampeners on it !! Mathews V3X is garbage - shot it 1 time and hung it back up.... The Bowtech SR350 was nicer. The Carbon levitate felt awesome at full draw - draw cycle sucked like the Mathews.... The Hoyt RX5 & 7 were ok & felt like a hoyt... The Athens 31 was definitely a polished bow... Elite bows felt nice too but,,, I kept going back to the Athens and more so to the Bear..... I have an RPM360 & Obsession fusion 6 as well but it's Stormy hardwoods finish is so nice & cool looking that I don't want to ruin it - so it sits on the wall..... Ha
Just bought a Ventum 30. The whole set up with all accessories was 1500. I sold all the accessories the guy sold me and bought what I wanted . I wish he was more honest with his prices
I've shot a bow for 20 years and for 18 of those years I never would touch a Matthews because of all the fan boys ect I decided to try the vertix vxr and now the v3 you just can't argue with how quiet and vibration free they are
Bows are even the cheaper ones are way over priced and it is the companies charging wayyyyy to much they can charge 800$ for a flagship bow and still make a killing the companies got greedy I won’t buy em they can shove it
I will stick with the name brands for 300 or so more, you get a bow that will hold its value much better than obsession or Martin. The elite is a top tier bow. And every bit the bow Hoyt or Mathews builds. But check what used martins and obsessions sell for. You can pick them up for next to nothing. If you like Martin or obsession, save yourself a bunch and buy a gently used one for less than half price.
I ended up choosing the obsession bow over the Mathew’s when they first released the v or vertix whatever it was . And I can tell you obsession is no joke I never thought I’d buy An “ off brand “ I did because at the time that matthews model could not compete with the obsession. That is no joke. Don’t preach poor quality. I test bows and fix/ tune etc. obsession is gonna keep chipping away at the hipster brand marketing and bring fanboys to the real world. Ps obsession is unreal on how dead in the hand it is. Customer service is great the speed is crazy the smooth draw with short brace heights and longer ATA is is impeccable
I just found this Channel and watched couple videos and I know you guys are fans of bear bows but I got to set the record straight. Bear USE to make decent bows but now they are building crap. Up until 2020 I was a lifetime bear bow shooter I owned the original bear flare the bare flair 2, bear gameover, bear cruzer g2, and most recently the bear legit which is what ended it all for me. I know Flagship Buzz go for 800 up to Costa $2,000, the bear legit was 500 plus tax brand new. So at 500 I wasn't expecting a flagship bow but I was expecting quality 500 bucks is 500 bucks. What's more ironic is that right on the bow it says the Fred bear way. I had it for 6 months only thing I ever did with it was tune it, and for the first five months it shot pretty good. During the sixth month I would shoot it and literally like 10 seconds after shooting the bow the string would just pop off the cams for no flipping reason. I'll put it in my bow press put the string back on she has some more and it would do the same thing over and over. I checked for cam lean there's a little on the top so I put it in my bow press fixed it and made sure the cams were timed and it just kept happening again and again. I can find my receipt so I can use my warranty so I just said screw it accepted that I basically flushed $500 down the toilet and went to BowTech and I've been happy ever since. It seems to me that bear is just jipping people on a budget. I shoot the BowTech solution SS and it's probably the smoothest drawing one of the most accurate bows I've ever shot. I have to agree with you though about how ridiculous this whole covid crap is and it's been ruining this country. Anyways this is no dig on you guys I actually like the cut of your jib and you speak the truth about a lot of things God bless
