While the user manual/instructions are useful it is always helpful to see the steps for setting up the transformer. Thanks for a very helpful video!

Great stuff; thanks for this, you helped me sort out the Time Zone selection and the "Sunwise" mode - I didn't know I could set the "off" time as well.

Thank you for your clear and easy to understand instructions. I'm curious, now that daylight savings is no longer... will the Sunwise mode still work properly? I've noticed that on the Sunwise setting, the unit (for the North) isn't on at dusk and stays on even after the sun has risen in the morning for an hour or so. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I switched to the Auto mode, for now.

When you plugged it in for the first time, how did it know exactly the date, month and year? That blew my mind when I plugged mine in.

Great video and excellent product. For some reason my Timer and Sunrise options have disappeared from the main screen. Have you seen this error before?

Should the time be set to Standard Time or Daylight Savings time. The present time is daylight savings time.

While the unit is in Sunwise mode, will it compensate when the clocks change between standard and or daylight savings time ?

My screen does not show all the data like it did when brand new. Does that mean it's bad and needs to be replaced, as it's now difficult to set a schedule.

Do you know if the display stays on all the time of does it go out after a couple of minutes.

when you say [ if you do want to set the time other than when the sun comes up] , means i have to set my own time rather then the sunwise mode which finds your location on its own and goes with the season? and when you say [other wise leave it alone] i would have to go back and leave it to the four lines and the little sun icon ? and it will turn off on its own using the seasons?

My Paradise GL33999 worked perfectly for several months after I set it up. Then a power fail occurred. When the power came back on the display did not come back on and the lights no longer functioned. Mysteriously several weeks later the display light up and the lights once again functioned normally. a few months after that a power blip (very short duration) occurred and the same series of events occurred, and lights were back to functioning after several weeks. Now the display and the lights stopped after a power blip, once again. It has now been over a month and the display and of course the lights no longer function. What are my options. There is no way to inter act with the transformer if the display does not come on. Any suggestions???

I've had this happen as well. Had a power failure a few days ago. Power came back and now the lights no longer turn on...

Does anyone know if I can cut off the photocell control box and wire my Model HDC33943BK transformer directly to the landscape wiring?

Hi Myron. I checked with one of our Sterno Home engineers. This was the response: 'The unit is safety certified as a kit and tampering with it would pose risk of shock or fire and void the warranty'. Hope this was helpful. We appreciate your business.
