Been waiting for this. The Serato stem algorithm isn't quite as robust as something like RipX. But this is a basic feature that should be in Serato Sample since it's available in the rest of their products.
I was just using RipX wishing I could just chop the sample in there instead of having to export it and chop it in another program, also imagine if you could have the exact chops for each stem, so essentially you could just mute different instruments in the beat in real time, without having to chop each solo’ed part separately if that make sense
@andrebiggz313 My workaround for this is to chop the sample then bounce that into RIPX, make the stems, and then bring the stems of the chops back into the daw as new separate tracks. Kinda clunky, I know.
For Q, just read the manual it's already there: Quantize Turn on quantize to snap newly created Cue points and their Cue end points to the beatgrid in single beat increments. Disable this to set Cue points and Cue endpoints without them snapping to the beatgrid.

I saw the serato sample 2.0 product video this afternoon, immediately downloaded and had 50% of dope beat done in about 7 minutes OFF THE RIP !! with just my laptop without my midi controller!.ALL PRAISES DO TO THE SAMPLES LORDS HESRD ALL OF OUR COLLECTIVE THOUGHTS! LOL *Quick question... Can it do tape stop or like a scratch kick intro to a beat??
This whole serato stems stuff is getting INSANE! I get laid off every winter from the State Construction i do and make music straight for like 4 months, definitely planning on messing with Serato products come winter.
This is dope I can’t wait until it comes out. See why can native instruments machine integrated sampler be just as easy as Serato sample when it comes to time stretching that I don’t understand they need to get it together.

Well. Guess I’ll be cancelling my serato studio membership and getting this instead. I work in logic in the end since serato studio is bad at processing plugins. This was the only reason I used it. Logic (probably all daws) are better at dealing with things. I’ll compare them both a little more before I pull the trigger but this is literally the thing I wanted in the first place.
This is cool but, No Resizing window? Cmon already. No zero cross to snap samples? No transient detection to slice samples? This is a good tool but still lacking very BASIC features. Too much mouse clicking in a tiny window is a real pain in the rear. This is a lazy update as we all knew the stems were already on the way. Get it together Serato 😔
I'm really happy to see they implemented the stems feature...its gonna be a game changer...I hope they add a QOL feature with having the notes labeled on the buttons for the chops. I frequently forget what note I assigned a chop to and end up assigning a new keyboard note to the same chop...

post-stems speculation: looking forward to the day Rekordbox users can use Serato Sample within RB to destructively or non- destructively edit tracks within the analysis process. OR if PioneerDJ gives Serato the ability to export to USBs for CDJ use.
Ummm… removing the drums software was always out there but it was for a crazy price… eventually these programs were going to meet with the right sampling software and boom…. I remember seeing “remove vocals and remove drums” software but it was never part of the “home producer” community because of the crazy price tag.
dawg i started watching you early 2021. i didnt know anything about making actual beats than little loops on bandlab lol till i got an mpd 218 i was confused asf with the software the code gave me and i was lowk freaking out then i saw your videos on it and after some weeks i was making full beats. im comfortable with my beats now and confident in them. preciate you og hella respect. might not look like alot to others but you doing some good shi bro wish none but da best for you boss 👌

Serato Sample has been my favorite investment so far… those new features look dope! Btw I noticed the SNES Zelda cartridge on your wall. I’m a LOZ fan too
been playing with it for just a little bit and I already see it as a game changer...I have Ableton Suite but this is a must have imo, and of all the apps that Ive tried that create stems...this sounds the cleanest and most artifact clean...in fact I don't hear anything bleeding thru from the samples Ive tried so far.
@@A_Class216 I jumped on Serato sample right after i saw this video. I see the Quantize button on 1.4.1 version. I let the sample play and hit the pads to do an auto-chop, and the markers snap to the grid. Mind blown.

Talking about he hates when people talk about already added features and want to take up time. I would have never spotted that quantize button if it wasn’t for this video today. I been using the stems feature in serato dj for a while now and the sampler I have dj decks and I have to open up the dj software and record it in fl studio as audio input to record my dj chops and scratches. Yes i know u can record in the dj software but Im layinging and making samples to lay over my beats. Mostly vocals,hooks n what not over og beats.
How does this compare to Rip X? Visually speaking the Sarato's UI seems a lot more intuitive at first glance but how about the the audio quality and comparisons with stem separation?
