  • From the series' outset, Agent James West (Robert Conrad) always came prepared. He did not appear in color, though, until the second season.

The bond craze was at the hight in movies and TV shows like man from UNCLE and I Spy and now done in a western setting. Wild Wild West turned out to be the surprise hit in the 1965 season. It is still fresh because it is in a period setting. A timeless classic TV show. 📺

That's what it always fascinated me when I was a kid. This mixing of «sci-fi» like in James Bond movies, humour and western. Not obvious to mix all these ingredients adequately.

This was my favorite show as a kid, he was like the "James Bond" of the west!

I remember watching this series when it first came out: it was brilliant - when you were a ten year old.

Great show, Conrad and Ross Martin made that show work. Of course, this is the first black and white season. They made adjustments as they went along. If you notice early on, there were not that much stunts and they didn't have Conrad wearing the tight clothes yet. But Robert Conrad was the man.

I loved that show as a kid growing up. Robert Conrad did his own stunt work on that series, he was very quick.

The theme song by the great Dimitri Tiomkin is outstanding. He also wrote Rawhide. None better. Maybe Jerry Goldsmith? Man from Uncle, Patton, Star Trek. Both are greatness.

    + Conran Mason
The man who played King Tut on TV's Batman, was none other than the late, great Victor Buono! He appeared in many movies and was considered a fine character actor. May he rest in peace.
