Wrangler: I am happy you included Vera Cruz, the Cooper/Lancaster duel is one of the best ever. One highly underrated duel was Fess Parker and Jeff Chandler in The Jayhawkers!
Some fine ones here. One I'd include, the quasi-gunfight near the end of My Name is Nobody between Nobody and Jack. "I told you your life was hanging by a thread."
Some really great ones. My favorite is Kevin Costner’s Charley Waite vs. Kim Coates’ Butler in “Open Range” (2003). Short, and completely subverts expectations. Charley: You the one killed our friend? Butler: That's right. I shot the boy, too. And I enjoyed it.
Also see Kris K & Jack elam In Peckinpah's PG & BTK .. back to ba back and 10 paces .. Billy turned on 3 and waited for Jack to cheat ..bang .. "that wasn't ten hoss " erk I never could count Billy ". Some great and twisted morality.
The dirty outlaws the mercenary Franco Nero and Jack balance shoot the living and pray for dead with Klaus Kinski the quick and the dead and Django 1966 and blade thanks for the list it was nice
I have enjoyed watching then rewatching Shane over and over again since I was a kid.
"My mistake, four coffins."
"The Big Country"! Perhaps the greatest western ever filmed! The music is terrific too!

But somehow one could think Lancaster would beat Coop easily ...
Absolutely my favorite, This ain't Dodge City and you ain't Bill Hickock❤
Some fine ones here.

I like the Alan Lad shootout.
The dog slipping away
Im definitely rewatching these
The duel in Quigley is the best! Alan Rickman was good as a bad man and who doesn’t like Tom Selleck😄
Shane, The Gunfighter and The Tin Star. Those are my favorites.😊
Some really great ones.

The sentiments expressed (by Butler) were probably commonplace in real life…
One of the best has got to be Shane
Wow! A video w/o a single John Wayne clip.
About the baddest duel I have ever seen was the last ten minutes of "The Quick and The Dead" that sequence is worth the rental of the whole movie.
What happened? The Unforgiven. Certainly maybe the best one of all.
Burt Lancaster Duels in "Lawman"

When they cut away just before he draws. Pretty weak

A man named blade sorry
funny: not one name written correctly.
Where is "High Noon"?
