The problem with the darkening of tristram event for getting the gems is if you save the cache you will have 0 gold to upgrade your artisan to level 12, or even just level 10, so you won't be able to craft a lv 60 or 70 weapon for a while. Instead you can spend 15 minutes completing act 2 bounties on a Necro (take staff from enchantress at 11), and opening the cache will give you ~200k gold, and you will be around level 18, ready to fight zolton kulle/Magdha at Normal until you get the 2 diamonds.
@@Mrfailstandstil I think most will safe the cache... at leas most serious players... If you're blasting a bit, you already need to offer the cache at around 4-5 hours into the season. There is also the option to have a second account to do the challenge rift and then craft yellow lvl 70 gear for you. This way you get a lot of lvl 70 gear without the need to open the cache on your main account.
When you do Act 1-5 bounties while leveling up, you don't get the 5 JC recipes needed for Chapter IV Haedrig's Gift since they only drop from the bounty caches after level 70 right? You can buy some from Squirt, but where do you get the rest?
You show leave at least one of the bounty caches to be taken from the npc AFTER you are lvl 70. There is always one Jeweler recipe guaranted from lvl 70 caches.

Also you still need to farm Ring of Royal Grandeur, so I usually do it quite early and at LVL70 I now open all Visions of Enmity, and there you can find goblin packs. One pack solve all the issues with blacksmith/jeweler recipes.
I usually have to run Act 1 many times for the RoRGs (Ring of Royal Grandeur) needed - I farm 3 if possible, one for the Cube, one for my merc, one for the Altar. The jeweler and minor set recipes drop naturally as I will be way past L70 P0 by then.
This season w god set as starter, of u gonna play alot that weekend i would really recommend to save challenge rift cache for altar! If u lvl correct, maybe practice little before friday 24th, u will not loose much time on not using challenge rift cache.

1. Yes, that's why I suggest to start doing bounties from LVL1. At least on Console, on PC you still have the option for massacre bonuses, which will bring you to LVL70 much faster. 2. Agree. If you are lucky with multipliers, definitely do visions - best loot drop, easy DB early on, a lot of mats. 3. I did few test runs (6 to be precise). Got all types of gems everytime and at least 2 of each. OFC, RNG might not be in your favor, but because it drops like 10+ gems, chances are quite good.
I did testrun aswell, and i got just 1 a few times, i hoped it was like Always atleast 2 of each drop, but apparantly not.. But yes, bigger chanche for getting 2 than to not. But i just wanted to higlight that its not 100%.. so i would go just bosses w bounties after hit 18. Open bounty cache for DB to upgrade Blacksmith to level 10. Get cube/finish leveling to 18. Go back and open ZK/Maghda chest for chance at diamonds. Remake games for any easy to get to bounty bosses for remaining diamonds (faster than Magic Rock at this point). Unlock Altar #2. Create T6 game with main class. Craft level 60 2H weapon and reroll to main stat/vit if needed. Blast. If anyone knows if this can be optimized further without necro or CR cache please let me know!
I usually open few Visions of Enmity during bounty runs. Yes, in video I don't recommend to run them fully, but if you are lucky on first few floors you will get Blue packs. And they drop DB at any level. even if I'm doing "hard" difficulty and my char is LVL15.
Second best option for me - Wizard. Ray of Frost and later Disintegrate can carry you through leveling even without support legendaries. But I just would get the expansion :)

And just farm for big masacar multiplier. With cache opening i done most classes in sub 1h (necro sub 30),, this season i'm more aiming towards saving the cache just to see

If u use rift cache u can go monk and craft crudest boots when lvl 1, very big chanche u get, then u go fast as fk all journey.
