A big inspiration to everyone. When you think about it - you have to dedicate the most of your life to graffiti, to get to a point where he stands at. No doubt, this guy will be in the history books in the future and people will be amazed what he did.
I have to say it's impressive how much this dude has put in work, simple and clean. That's what's graffiti is all about, always been a fan of NY bubble style and now i'm seeing it more in North Europe, where the scene has been mostly dominated by block letters and very complex styles from writers such as NUG,EGS etc. So glad to see bubble throw-ups, keeping it simple and destroying shit!

good afternoon! I wanted to ask you for an oldschol writer who forgot his name, I remember that he painted a character on a face with a beret and shirt, I once saw him with a helmet like Greek. Another thing I remember is that I saw it for the first time in a documentary which I don't remember his name, he started with the trains I think.
Unless you lived in NYC in the 80s -90s and 2000s I don’t think people realize just how much damage he did. Battling whole crews and making them quit. Two people even died trying to go over him in the tunnels. One prolific mofo !
ja's "style" is very simple and lacks creativity. He tries to make up for the lack of creative ability by doing the same few things over and over, but he does have the most tags in nyc. its just that same thing over and over, its really simple and kinda ugly even. so basically in nyc, its doesnt matter if your ish is wack, just if you do it a lot. he buffs people to test them to see if they tag as much as him, but he's really just being an overly self entitled, hater.
***** He is what he is - a limited artist from a creative standpoint, but very consistent, active, and he hits spots as though he's spiderman. I can't count the number of times that I tried to figure out how he climbed upon a trestle or overpass. The majority of his throw ups are filled in well, and he has a creative tag (JAONE). He's legend in the eyes of most writers.
He has a lot of epic spot, no doubt. The last thing he lacks is can control, he got that on lock. But his tag is the furthest thing from creative, it's his initials. This is well known even amongst the cops but he covers his tracks well enough for lack of proof. His hand tags look like plain hadwritting almost (it's actually a swastika with one line going different direction, and then one in plain writing. not sure if he even realized or if that's where he secretly got the style). But yes it's true, he's a legend, even if you're not feeling his style, he managed to claim eternal underground fame. like you said, it is what it is.
