  • This video is a Step by Step tutorial for an easy Feather and Fan scarf tutorial for all levels. Crochet a beautiful scarf while you listen to relaxing music.
    Instructions:
    1. Chain 61
    The pattern is in multiples of 19 (19 x 3)+4 = 61
    2. Row 1:
    Chain 4
    Treble Crochet (Tr) into 5th chain
    Tr into next chain
    Tr x 4 into same chain
    Tr 1 into next chain
    *Skip 1, Tr into next chain
    Repeat from * 7 times
    Tr 5 into next chain
    Tr 5 into next chain
    Tr 1 into next chain
    *Skip 1, Tr into next chain
    Repeat from * 7 times
    Tr 5 into next chain
    Tr 5 into next chain
    Tr 1 into next chain

    Never mind, I strolled down and saw I needed a 5 mm hook. I knew it was a bigger hook but wanted to use the correct hook. Now I can start my pretty pretty!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

      It's multiples of 19 + 4
      So the next size up is (19 x 4)+4 = 80 chains.

    Thank you for the tutorial.
    Add: Row 2: front post single crochet in every stitch.
    It is the front post stitches that create the ridge.
    You do it in the video, it is mentioned in the pattern.

    We have to change the h.ok size to 4mm but which size hook was used for the chain ? An amazing tutorial so easy to follow and I’m a beginner thank you so much.😊

      e.g for a baby blanket you can chain 19 x 6 or 7 plus 4 l hope that makes sense

    Thank you for such beautiful recording, but especially THANK YOU for the written instructions. I am a bit confused, however. The written specifies sc rather than the fpsc, and I can't follow the video on row 3 with what is written as row 1 for the repeat. Help, please.

    Hi,love your video.I’m trying to do it on my own by following the video and instructions but the instructions say7 trebles but I notice that your doing 9/10 before the cluster of 5…should I follow the instructions or your video?

      Hi there, Ok let me break it down for you chain 4, T5 in 5th Chain, T1 in next chain, *skip 1 chain, T1 in next Chain, repeat from *7 times. Total 9T between fans. I hope that makes sense. I will do another video with audio soon. Happy crocheting 🌸

      Thank you for your kind feedback. Yes you can make baby blanket 36" x 36". Number of chains will depend on your tension and type of yarn used. The pattern is in multiples of 19 + 4. So try 171 chains + 4 (175).
