Yes they are. That’s one of the reason people went away from that style, to cut down on weight.

do you have to change the seal every time you remove the dayton to change the breaks?
You could probably reuse if it’s not damaged or already leaking but I’d hate to take the chance and need to do it all over if it leaks.
