Take a look at the Nintendo home console (NES to Wii U, excluding Wii) units sold over the years. There's a noticeable decline in sells. I wonder which fictional character is at fault for that. :/ "She was a damsel in distress." - I don't see how some treat this as a big issue when it's her. Do you realize how many TV shows/movies, books, and other video games that use the damsel in distress role. Peach got kidnapped too many times, I don't see people up in arms about it happening to her. "Rule 34 (lewd fanart)" - This idiotic excuse is frequently used against this character, and it's one of the dumbest reasons I've seen. It's a hilarious fail when these idiots call her a "slut" as if she actually did something wrong. Not too long ago there was this person in the comments going on about how she shouldn't be in future games because of porn. By that logic, video games might as well not have any characters at all. Every fictional character has rule 34. When it comes to this character, you're likely to be called a "furry" by fools who don't know any better. Moveset potential (a moveset that's based on the various staff upgrades from Adventures) is the main reason why this character has support, but certain people just look pass that and instantly label you as a "furry" for no good reason. During the ballot, I supported Rayman, King K Rool, and Inklings because I see moveset potential, but to others, I guess that makes me a person who's into: acrotomophilia, scalies, and pedophilia. A lot of these fools can't separate the NSFW crap they see on the internet away from the actual character itself. There's this double standard when it comes to Wolf & Krystal. You're "normal" if you like/support Wolf (as if he's immune to NSFW), but if you like/support Krystal, you're "furry." This is a horrendous mentality. Most of these people don't even know what an actual furry is, they just throw out the word as their form of attack, and they also use it as their escape option when their flawed logic fails. This also comes from mindless fools who follow alongside the haters, they think of themselves as part of the "cool crowd." A lot of characters were being shot down by unimaginative people who have dumb reasons: Shantae = hentaibait, Isaac = Robin clone, Dixie = Diddy clone, King K Rool = Ugly, Bayonetta = ZSS clone, too sexy for Smash, and so on. For Krystal it was also: "She's not in SFZ." This a lame excuse. King K Rool missed out on the newer DK games. He's been MIA for years, but that didn't halt his SSB4 supporters... so why should it for others? Supporting/liking a character doesn't mean said person is associated with said fandom. "She's useless." - This statement is false. I guess these people haven't played Star Fox Assault. She's more active in that game. She helped Fox during an on-foot mission (actually she does this twice during the main game). She even plays her part during the final boss. I fail to see how she's useless. "Her multiplayer stats in Assault are bad." - This is one of many nitpicks I've seen over the years. By that logic, you might as well say Falco sucks in Smash without his Arwing since he has the worst health on-foot. I've seen these people pull the same thing with other characters: "Roy is the worst FE lord, he shouldn't come back as DLC." and "Mewtwo is a legendary pokemon. Why does he suck in Smash?" "She brings romance to the series." - Fictional characters don't write themselves. I came across people saying "She ruined Command." The bad writing, and dreadful endings are what brings that game down, not a sole character. Examples: Fox & Falco disbands the team and become F-Zero racers, Krystal becomes a depressed bounty hunter, Falco gets enraged and leaves Star Fox all because he wasn't fashionably late, and Slippy becomes a geezer who talks about his old days as a pilot. These endings are crap. Tbh, I don't know why some consider them as canon. It's a poorly written game with "what-if" scenarios. To me, Command is the Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City (a non canon "what-if" story) of the Star Fox series. Many people (mostly genwunners) are misinformed about the development of Star Fox. They think Miyamoto was no longer involved with Star Fox after 64. He was there for Adventures & Assault. The only game he didn't have a big hand in is Command. For that game, the ones to look at are Takaya Imamura & Dylan Cultbert. "Not enough development/backstory." - The exact same thing can be said about the other team members. These mercenaries don't have fully fleshed out backstories. I've been hit many times by: "Star Fox was never about story." There's also this: "She's not memorable. She doesn't have any quotable lines." I played a lot of SF64 back in the day, but I'm not that enveloped by it. I don't see memes as character development. I mean, shipping characters is one thing, but getting asshurt all because she's with Fox is just frivolous BS imo. Every Nintendo character has a hatebase, but when it comes to Krystal's hatebase... the magnitude of stupidity is way up there. These clowns constantly use her as a scapegoat.
It seems that the hate for Krystal has died out completely. She's now the most requested Star Fox character in SMash Bros. and people were actually happy that they referenced Sauria in the Battle Begins short. that apparently Command is no longer cannon due to SMash 4 removing all traces of Command. Even Krystal's rocky relationship with Fox in that game in her Trophy discription.
If Krystal were playable in Smash, she’d share a trait with Yoshi, which is a unique shield. In Krystal’s case, that’d be the ray shield, which appeared in Star Fox Adventures.
If Krystal was EVER going to be in Smash Bros. This is definitely how I would see her in game. And she could be unique for being a StarFox character that can use a blaster & a staff.
The fact that Wolf was picked over Krystal still makes me mad to this day. Krystal would have stayed for Sm4sh had she been in Brawl. Sakurai, it would be wise to make her playable in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch. Please do it already.
One thing that I love about Smashified is putting a character into the Smash Bros. art style, and it shows more than ever here. You didn't just convert some new textures and colors, you completely redesigned the character. Smash is known for redesigning characters so that they could fit in with the rest of the roster, so I was waiting for you to do something like this. Because of that, this has got to be my favorite Smashified.

Krystal's staff will have a hit modifier similar to Marth's Falchion. The sweetspot of the staff will be the jeweled head. The sourspot is the middle of the staff.

Krystal would appear in Super Smash Bros, for NX as an unlockable fighter. As part of Star Fox representation tradition, Fox would be the only starter representative of the Star Fox franchise. Unlocking Krystal would involve playing as Fox.
Have you guys ever thought about making models for hacks like Project M? I think you guys would make the best out of literally any of the others, considering you put so much detail into them. And no, not a full char, but the models would be amazing, I think at least.

Krystal would appear in Super Smash Bros, for NX as an unlockable fighter. As part of Star Fox representation tradition, Fox would be the only starter representative of the Star Fox franchise. Unlocking Krystal would involve playing as Fox.
