When I was 15 years old in the 60s I used to drive a Fordson tractor on a farm. It started on petrol then I switched over to paraffin or kerosene. I loved the smell the glowing exhaust gave out and the sound the engine made. It was started with a starting handle, no electric starters on many tractors then. Great days to be alive, summer days ploughing until it got to dark to see.
This is a much rarer tractor than an f ,it is in fact a irish n note no oil pet cocks for oil level and water pump ,I believe it should have long wings on it and its running a high tension mag and oil is now looked at by using a dip stick and is still ungoverned on the engine .
I have a 1938 demonstrator , orange with blue wheels and a 1942 RCAF blue bomb hauler or fuel hauler .It will go up to 30 miles per hour .It. Would pull 15 trolleys of bombs at one time to the bombers .The women drove it as there was a shortage of men .onlyone left in the world .
Sure beats smelling mule farts. My old uncle told me that is why he did not become a farmer. Could not stand the smell. Instead he retired helping to build Bell's original tilt rotor Osprey.

My grandpa use to say how the old Fordson had a howl in the rear end . Now I know what he use to listen to .

Fordson begann mit benzin. Wasserkühlung ohne wasserpumpe. Viel wasser und vertrauen auf die konvektion....lg.ff.

Needs long wings on her ,it's not an early one ,it has tin water washer dome I think ,still nice, growls like mine .
