As soon as you plugged in the Les Paul...THAT’S the sound!
Yup and slightly out of tune also! Classic.
Love the big guys facial expressions he's feeling every note that's the way guitar is meant to be played
AMAZING 🤘🏼

For those about to rock, we salute you.
I love how instantly you both head to 70s & 80s classic riffs. 👍
I had a Marshall JCM900 MkII which had been hopped up. I played it into a Full Stack of Marshall JCM900 1960A and 1960B 412 cabs on channel 2 using a Fender Squire Bullet Stratocaster with every control knob "dimed" - dialed clockwise all the way and stood about 6 foot brom this rig and just slightly off to the right side. It was unbelievable loud in my basement and it shook the entire house, foundation, windows and all! It sounded like I was standing on a beach in Hawaii just as a tidal wave was about to crash over me. Loud! Sadly I had to moved and so I sold everything. BTW I did lose some of my hearing because of that. I played in the same style as Jimi Hendrix and I rode the distortion and sustained notes using the tremolo bar and I could hold one note for over 60 seconds. I know because once I counted and stopped counting at 60. I also play violin and that's why I loved to play sustained notes while moving the tremolo bar up and done to get the most out of each note. Nothing in the world like it. As I said I did lose some hearing. Although that could have been because I also had an Ampeg Classic 300 tube watt Bass head and a 15E cab along with a 410 cab and a 210 bass cab and a Crown 810 bass cab. I got it down to 2 ohms to get the full 300 watts. Upon thinking about it I think the Ampeg 15E was the speaker that did the damage to my hearing because the doctor who did my hearing test said I lost the ability to hear some of the low frequencies. To this day I have trouble understanding human speech.
I still have a full stack, the Marshall Origin 50 H with the Full Stack of Origin 412A and B 410 speaker cabs. I am using a Marshall JTM-45 played through my Origin Full Stack. I am also using my new Fender Player Plus Nashville Telecaster with this rig. I do not play above volume setting no. 4 because the JTM-45 gets me the distorted tone even at no. 4 and anything above that is just very loud and will hurt my hearing even more. Also we have two birds in our home and I do not wish to hurt their hearing. I also have a lot of Ampeg amps and cabs to scratch that itch.
P..S. I no longer play in Jimi's style nor do I play extremely loud. I am into good tone with a Jazzy feeling.I play every day and night. Only skipping maybe 1 dat per year in the last 2 decades.
I am vey happy with my Marshall JTM-45! - Peter age 74
Rumour has it that Rick once wrestled a bear into submission
In the beginning when dr. Ric was playing the prs I was thinking that something was wrong with the jtm, but then he switched to the bridge and it was there... and when the LPs came, I finally had a huge smile on my face. They were just meant to be together :-) Dr. Ric just knows the right riffs. Well done, guys, long live rock'n'roll!
Great fun vid guys! Reminds of the Pete Thorn one at GuitCon last year where he did the same with a Marshall 100w and got all the guys to go in and play it. 🤘🏻👍🎸🤘🏻👍🎸🤘🏻👍🎸
It even sounded fantastic left handed!
One of the best vintage Marshall sounds ever is a Fender Strat or Tele into a Plexi, and you guys didn't even go there even though you play those all the time! Oh the disgrace, haha! Shoulda just plugged into a JCM, lol ;)
This looks like way to much fun!! I bet it was a blast to shoot!!
The thing of it is, the Marshall JTM-45 set at volume level 3 and 4 sounds very much like 100 watt Marshall Heads at full volume and actually the JTM-45 sounds better. So if you crave the full blown "dimed" Marshall experience but at a volume that you can play at all day every day without damaging your hearing then I very highly recommend the marshall JTM-45.
Lastly, the JTM-45 sounds better than any amp I have ever played through or even heard others play trough. It has that inspiring tone that makes me play mine all day-every day. - Peter age 74
Sounded FANTASTIC! : ) I know you guys had fun with this one!
Gibson Les Paul + Marshall = Rock N Roll Heaven.
This seems to have fallen in love with that sound. Amazing!
Went to guitar centers website to look up jtm 45 used prices. A blues breaker came up for $1250. I prefer the 2x12 over my plexi cab
The Dr is going to need a Dr after this lol.
Sounds Great with the lesPaul.....
You’re joking there at the end? No ear plugs for the Dr. 🙀👂🏽
Were gonna absolutely crank a Marshall Stack !!!
Also: We are going to be mic'ing it up........lol,..why ?

I notice a lack of ear protection. Now that it's 2021 how are you enjoying your hearing aids?

What is that massive Marshall on the top right?
That's the DSL 1 watt head.
I love all the AC/DC references
Jtm45 rock pedigree, it's the schiz
i want it.....
Thank you for this video. In the market for one and every other video is dudes noodling at low volume. This is how intense to play it.
That looked like a blast! Loved the Raspberries riff 2:46
What is the song called
@@jarobiwatts3601 Go all the way
@@landonbaileythanks man, would you happen to know the riff at 2:17

Love it!
Please do a Malcolm Young Guitar video!
After watching this, I realize that I need to work on my guitar face.
You need the kt66 tubes in it,i can tell they are not.
I thought you were going to use the Lemon Burst!
What are the names of those cabs? I love the basket weave grill cloth. Vintage man!!!
A year late I know ... but those are 1960AX and 1960BX cabs they come loaded with 25w greenbacks.
4:00
Mao tse Tung on guitar although he looks more like President Ping.
I have always wanted two double stacks of cloth woven cabs like these with those 30 watt jtm 45 heads. It would be like having Hendrix gear, but much more manageable volume. But I don’t know if 30 watt Marshall heads are really all that quiet?
A 30 watt reissue when paired with a 1x12 is not as loud as the originals or a bassman . and nowhere near as loud as a Vox ac30 ! a jtm 45 reissue through a 1x12 is about as loud as a deluxe reverb or slightly louder . That said through two 4x12s like in the video it would probably be on par with a bassman if a foh sound guy tells you to turn down a jtm 45 with a 1x12 when cranked with a hard hitting drummer and full band in a club , chances are he’s not used to mixing rock music and probably only used too mixing indie folk / pop basically a hipster of the pretentious variety ! Lol or he’s just a tyrant .
Lol...
Hey guys I know I'm super late but what cabs are these? Love the sound would love to recreate the same exact stack.
Update: i think they're the 1960AX and 1960BX cabinets but I could be wrong. Hope this helps someone lol.
Looks like a 1960A/B with G12M-25s (Greenback Celestion)
Hi there will a cab blow on maximum volume
NOT IF YOUR SPEAKER ARE RATED PROPER
I use to crank my JCM800 to 10 . It was too loud even with a drummer
WileECoyotey even through a 1x12 a jcm800 at ten the drummer would need a lead hand lol
That is the Les Paul amp!
NOW THIS IS LIVING.......THANK GOD ........THIS KIND OF THING .....WHAT IVE BEEN DOIN SINCE I WAS 19.......IS BROUGHT TO THE SURFACE BY YOU GUYS.........PLEASE CHECK OUT MY VINTAGE RECORDINGS ON YOU TUBE....."Hear That Music"..."Sweet Young Girl"..."I Want You"..."Follow My Dream"..."Happy Day Happy Night"..."Space Lover"....done with same set up..the same way....Rock On Guys...Thanks for a fun Video
im surprised how much clearer the PRS sounded … and I have never liked PRS
Dr Rick must have some pretty decent amount of hearing loss to begin with to be able to take that without plugs. Seeing him with his ears like two feet from those speakers is uncomfortable to watch even if he doesn't seem to notice a problem with it. For BIG AMPs I've owned a 71 Super Lead, a Duel Showman Reverb, and an Ampeg V4. I would alway stand a ways back from them and pretty quickly learned to use ear plugs and that was back in the 1980s, today people should know better and not be promoting to others that playing like this is a good idea. Hopefully the exposure time was brief but that he seemingly has no problem having his ears right next to these speakers makes me think he must be used to this kind of volume. If you love music protect the "gift" and be careful with your ears... you only get one set of them and you can't enjoy music if they don't function.
\m/ THE sound of ROCK! (And 1st! Suffer IN ya jocks!)
Jealous!
Jtm 45? Is that like a plexi 45? 45watts is that what that stands for . I kno it means louder than hell in french, lol. Seems marshall is way more volume at the same number of watts vs american fender amps somehow. But hell we love em.
the jtm45 has 30 watts actually
I used to have a Fender 1972 Twin Reverb, it was 80 watts, and WAY louder than my 100 watt Marshall JCM 2000. I don't think I was ever able to get the Twin past 5 or 6, I can max out the Marshall occasionally though.
The doctor didn't blow it up ! What gives ?!
haha! Maybe next time. 😂
Haha, I hope not. It was kind of funny though with the Bassbreaker.
What the a PRS you need to get reel man
Good-bye power tubes
Why do you say that?
@@shawnglass108 when you crank any tube amp the power tubes pull a lot more voltage and wear the tube a little quicker. It won't ruin the tubes. It's just a little expression we like to use.
@@mickhudson , I gotcha. I was just wondering. I pretty much keep my Bluesbreaker cranked but I use an attenuator with it. Those KT-66’s are still going strong after several years.
@@shawnglass108 nahh man they'll definitely last as long as you use the standby properly when turing the amp on and letting it cool off when you're done
I got a set up jimi hendrix full set amp all so creat red rocker sammy hagar full stack amp Gibson custom shop guitars fender stratocaster usa custom shops to go with them not to mention jackson charvels line up and bc rich guitars but not one PRS in my hands I see you got the Gibson right away after making a bad decision playing PRS
All was fun til the left handed guy showed up
