I have both. The Artist is superior. 1) Having the controls on the front is a clear choice by itself. 2) Just the 1 WAZA speaker sounds bigger, louder, warmer, heavier, crispier, and overall more "colorful" than 2 standard Katana speakers. I keep both for running in stereo. But if you can only have one, if you settle for the 100/213 you'll wish you had the Artist, but if you get the Artist you'll be happy you did.

I have the AC10 and love it but in all fairness I believe both amps sound amazing.

Just picked up a used Tweed Pro Jr. IV to check out based on my love for Fender amps like my '68 Custom Princeton Reverb. Looking for sweet Fender cleans at living room volume. I'm surprised to see a Jensen alnico in a 15-Watt amp I can snag for < $500 used. I have lower-wattage amps for rock'n'roll at 85 to 90 dB, and if that doesn't satisfy - this amp budget might leave room for a Tone King Ironman ii or similar high-quality, moderate power attenuator that could also be used with the Princteton. And which would open the door to even larger and more unruly Fender amps like the '57 Custom Deluxe Reissue or a '65 Deluxe Reverb . . . :o) 👍

Just bought one. All the traditional Tele tones, with the huge added neck position, pickups in series, which ads huge body to the sound. Haven't tried the F1 switch yet

well, i received mine yesterday and unfortunately, doesn't sound like it did in the store, or in this video. It's a little disappointing, but still a good cymbal.

Went to a music store, tested all the rides... Istanbul, Meinl, Bosphorus, Zildjian, Paiste (Masterworks), and then finally the Zildjian K Constantinople series. Even among this series there were a lot of nice 22" rides like the Renaissance, Bounce, and some others, but nothing sounded as good to me as the Medium. Not Medium Thin or Medium Low. Just flat out, MEDIUM. It had the best sticking and overtone out of all of them. So yeah, I bought one. It's in the mail. :)

Both sound great but the Maton's strength is AP-5 Pro pickup, the best pre-amp out there by far! Maton is meant to be played amplified!

The speaker in the Origin 20 combo wrecks the sound of the amp. In an Origin 20 Head verses a DSL Head using the same speaker is where one can hear the difference. See the "TheSuperFunAwesomeHappyTimePedalShow" head comparison.

The fender farts on the lows, but could back off a little on the bass ! The box is rich ! 🎶🎵🎶🎵

This is nonsense!! Playing these Bassman's flat out does not produce the best sounds that the amp is capable of. What are you guys thinking?? I own one and have had it for close to 20 years. I would NEVER EVER play it in these ways. This is a plain stupid review. Shame on you guys.

Personally I go with the Fender even though I like the sound of the Vox more. I learned years ago that adding in something that isn't there (in this case top end) is darn near impossible to do without things sounding less than desired. In short its easier to make the Fender sound like the Vox with less negatives than vice versa. I am also a heavy pedal user who has used many amps over the years and always ended up going back to Fenders after stints with Vox style amps.

I am looking adding a Marshall, I currently play through a fender blues deluxe. Which one has that glassy marshall clean tone? Origin or DSL. Both have great driven tones. thank for your advice.

I LOVE Bassmans! Not with humbuckers though! I mean it sounds good but the bottom is a tad floppy. Teles sound the best through them!

Lot of heavy hard strumming robbed both of their tonal characteristics, then to hear them argue loudness?? Love the side by side idea but execution by old mate was just beating the crap out of strings with no soft handled comparison

The origin sounds exactly like the DSL except somebody put a sleeping bag over the speaker of the Origin.

U cannot have the bass turned all the way up on the fender! I think u adjust the amps till u get THAT sound u like!

Maton was good but compared to the Martin it lacked depth and overall tone. The Martin, once again is heads and shoulders above.

Good video! Thanks for sharing. I’m looking at purchasing the Gen 3 100 head and the Waza 2x12 cabinet. I like the added feature of the 5” practice speaker on the Gen 3 100 head over the artist. But I think the more rounded smoother tone of the Wazas is desirable.

Sounds like the treble was down on the Fender. I have heard other demos of the Blues Jnr 1V and it sounded way better. The Vox lost definition when it was cranked.
