    When you cut up your plastic bag to use, avoid the printed part or it may transfer onto your rice paper!

    I love your tutorial, so creative and such a beautiful cake. I was searching for how to make a jellyfish cake and found yours the most practical and beautiful. I did mine following your instructions. I would say they turned out quite well although it's quite hard to stick those tentacles to its body with piping gel as I don't have isomalt. Anyways it all turned out good and I hope my daughter would be surprised and happy to see this cake I made for her. She loves jellyfish. Thank you very much for your tutorial!

      Thank you so very much for your great comments! Yes, piping gel is definitely trickier as slow to dry. So good you made it work! ☺️☺️☺️

    You had mentioned in another comment below you would do a demo on how you did your cake for this jellyfish tutorial. Have you done this anywhere? If not, was it accommplished through wafter paper on it (similar to how you did your other tutorial with a cake that had wafer paper)? Beautiful!

    • @RustyFrench1234
      @RustyFrench1234  4 года назад +1

      SweetWorks of Art Hi, thank you. No, I haven’t done that style again yet, sorry. It is textured and torn fondant with the only wafer paper being the white ‘foam’ that runs down the left side of the cake. To get texture on the fondant you torch the surface and then roll over it to crackle. I also rolled large sugar crystals into some areas. Apply strips of the torn-edge fondant diagonally down the cake, overlapping pieces and curling back the edges. I hope this helps a little. I’ll try to make this my next tutorial.

      @@RustyFrench1234 Really nice! I would definitely love to see that one...I'll subscribe.

      Oh yes, fondant was marbled first. The sugar has larger crystals than standard sugar and also available coloured...is that what you call sanding sugar in U.S.? You could crush rock sugar instead.

    • @sweetworksofart3253
      @sweetworksofart3253 4 года назад

      @@RustyFrench1234 Sanding Sugar is more course than what Rock Candy is (which would be more visible crushed than sanding sugar). At what point did you add the sugar? Didn't the torching cause the marbled fondant to discolor to a brown in places? Can't wait for you to demo this! Thank you!

    Please help!...what we can use for the glue? Thank you soo much😊

    • @RustyFrench1234

      Hi. I used Isomalt to glue the tentacles into the body.

    When you add coloring to the water at the beginning, is the coloring gel coloring or petal dust?

    • @RustyFrench1234
      @RustyFrench1234  4 года назад

      SweetWorks of Art Hi, it’s Gel colour but airbrush colour would be even better as it would mix in faster.

    How do you place the jelly fish on the cake

    • @RustyFrench1234
      @RustyFrench1234  2 года назад

      Hi! I pushed a flower pick into the cake and then inserted the wires. You could also used a plastic straw. I hope that helps. 😊

    This is really amazing is rice paper sails are wrap around the cake?

    • @RustyFrench1234
      @RustyFrench1234  4 года назад +1

      Thank you! ☺️ it is fondant strips wrapped diagonally, with torn edges. Only the white bits on the left are rice paper.

    Is this edible topper?

    • @RustyFrench1234
      @RustyFrench1234  4 года назад

      It is edible but not tasty...it’s just Vietnamese rice paper spring roll wrappers.
