Id be happy with SOS or GUTS for album of the year. I think they are the best albums on the list. If Midnights wins it would be because taylor had a great year overall in her career, not for the quality of the actually album. She def has had stronger albums in the past

Miley deserves to get some. Her album has been on repeat the whole year. Jaded, Flowers, Thousand Miles, Island, Violet Chemistry and Rose coloured lenses are amazing songs

so what you're saying is it's very possible to see Olivia to leave with little or nothing? I gotta pass then, refuse to do this again. I'm still pissed I wasted time last year watching all the boring crap just to see the biggest finale disappointment since game of thrones. Only invested in sos and guts and I'll be damned before I let the grammys bamboozle me with sza bait again. I hope she wins but last year doesn't inspire confidence. I'll just wait for twitter 😩
In my opinion, it's the 2024 Grammys aka the 2023 Grammys starring:
Taylor Swift as Adele,
Sza as Beyoncé,
and introducing Lana Del Rey (or Miley Cyrus) as Harry Styles.
Also: "Let's make a promise to ourselves, we can't even be mad" should honestly be the tagline for the Grammys in general.
Sza album isn't even that good. It has tons of droplet songs
for me this year grammys feel very confusing and unexpected, its really hard to give a safe prediction of whos gonna win, but i do think lana del rey deserves aoty and soty categorys, i think its really time for her to get her flowers, she changed pop music in 2012 with born to die and she is still not recognised for that, i have a little bit of hope that the grammy voters will see this especially since her new album has some clasical grammys type of songs. I dont think taylor deserves to win this category, i love her but midnights as a whole album is pretty mid.

Lana and PJ Harvey most leave with a grammmy. And nothing for Taylor swift
GUTS should win. SOS is a scatterbrained project, Midnights is an empty sales pitch with almost no substance, the record hardly makes an impression, and Did you know? is a dark horse but no momentum towards victory.

because Grammy’s supposed to award based on musicality, songwriting, composition. and not for popularity/charts. Do you ever see Oscars give award to the Avengers movie because they have the most sales.
You have a point, but were talking about artistic and music excelence and midnights does not stand a chance if we are talking about quality.
@@vgolf10 fully agree with the sentiment of basing on quality but honestly I think the Oscar’s have a problem with the nominations often being unrepresentative of what the general public is watching. Not as much this year but generally. Not saying they should nominate a bunch of marvel films cos they’re popular but there is something to having people be invested in the awards cos it’s stuff they’re actually invested in- like when black panther was nominated. They could be more open minded perhaps. Don’t think music has this problem to nearly the same degree but still.
