Just a precaution, you shouldnt weld in front of your camera lenses cause it can mess up the eye of your camera. Or you can decrease the exposure and you're a bit more safe, but just something to think about next time! This video was sick though 🙌🏼
@@speedyboi349 you can't see the puddle when all you see is a bright light. you want to see what the puddle is doing to get an accurate representation of the welding process. when i say "lens" i mean a lens that is darkened, between shade 5 - 10 for your camera to pick up the puddle. your typical welding lens is a 10 and would work fine.

I would love to see this redone. Next time don't get galvanized chain. If you do you need to get that crap off. See if you can find the correct metal to match the head tube and seat tube as welding dissimilar metals together is a pain. Also they make welding wire specifically for stainless, aluminum, regular mild steel etc.. I really think this could be done and actually be really good. I mean it would still be a bit flexible and kinda heavy but I think totally rideable and can take a beating.
@@hippo6billion811 it's the zinc coating they put on it to prevent rust, the fumes it makes while welding will give you brain damage if you dont have proper ventilation.
Here’s some ideas if you do a part 2 by any chance: instead of laying the chains on the floor hang them off of something so that gravity does the work for you and keeps it straight and maybe use twice the chains welded together.... but great work man keep up the good content

If you cut one tube out of the bike frame at a time and weld the chain in you will maintain most of the original shape of the frame to a very close degree, as well as be able to see where and if a wheel would rub etc
You have some great ideas, and the fact that you just go for it is why I can't get enough. Since I have all those tools myself, I guess I'm gonna have to make my own!

Try using a real welder and pull tension on the chain before welding links and dont weld galvanized chain
