Really good video mate, and nice to see you showing people the strong rig bits required and the likes of the triple pass on crimps 👍
Just a couple of things you could consider are solid ring first and then split ring which stops any possible wear from edges of the split rings.
Clear heat shrink is also quite handy as you can see through for any signs of corrosion near crimps.
Hope you enjoy the season and tight lines as well 🎣🐊

@@stuw21 cheers mate. Yeah I have thought of using drenan rings. But seems ok for now. First season tying them like that so trail and error. Happy as it is but will be keeping a eye on it 👍

The small trace attached to the split ring could come off mate. Not a safe rig. There is a lot better way to make a trace with multi strand titanium and split rings so you don’t need two traces.

@@Michael_Jennings how can it come off

@ I tried it this way years ago and when I had done a couple of cast the small trace was half way back round the split ring. So I stopped using this method. If you DM me I will show you a better way. That’s my own experience pal. Not having a go at you but they can come off. 👍🏻

@ I’ve tried removing without pliers when I couldn’t find them but was I really struggle to get it to move onto the split ring. But I’ll keep an eye out for that gapping mate. Cheers👍
