The Chinese on Shad's Origin reads 'Yi Dao Liang Duan' and writes 一刀两断. As someone else in the comment says it means cut in two with one strike. The Chinese characters on the origin are a little decorated with the several extra strikes which I guess represent some dagger cuts so you might see it's slightly different from what the characters I wrote here.
Hello! Phantom gamer here. Just responding to some of the things I heard: Yes we do use second mastery for mobbing, aslong as janus and erda does not do the job allready. And no: we do not do it so we have free stolen skill-slots. It’s simply the best mobbing tool we can grab. But besides that it indeed is nice having Final Cut available during mobbing, so that you have to be less funded to oneshot! In my opinion: the mobbing is good after 260, especially with Janus being unlocked (both at level one and level ten or higher). Party bossing: nothing to add. Not great. Solo bossing: great uptime, but the damage you are keeping up still is quite underwhelming. But indeed: great (if funded) kit for solo bossing. Learning curve: indeed once you know core mechanics (such as stealing skills) it’s mainly cooldown management. Which if you make it as minmax as possible, is quite a lot. But once LOTD is condensed, the minmax gets a bit easier due to ring swapping during LOTD not being possible anymore. I think it’s the best class for using freud due to its survivability and cd hat preference. But it still is something to manage. Besides you kinda want to swap your stolen hyper skills mid fight too, for your mini burst so yeah. Menustory it is :’). Then again: it’s not a heavy combo class so I’d say 9 is too high but 8 is fair. Also: I loved the “card tempest tornado or whatever the fuck that’s called..” into “Joker” with such confidence, to then be completely wrong. Haha. Anyways great vid. Bye! :) YES DOUBLE DOWN ON THE CARD THEME AND LET STEALING GO.
Phill and Sonto really understood why NL will prob not be good in the future when fd stacking is dead and people just can't bind and burst. NL will fall off when people actually have to engage with the boss and mechanics, nl just does'nt have the tool to deal wtih it, really quality analysis. Edit: Phill again with the facts on how dog the solo bossing or min clearing capability of this class is.
I agree. NL seems to have the tool of many years ago, when mechanics weren’t a thing, with time, it has fallen behind, as it offers low survivability compared to most or all classes. Remove FD stacking, and with current dpm, its honestly pretty bad. I doubt, they do a remaster, the mini burst improvement they are getting, is still dog overall.
@@ClarkGMSif it wasn't for my BoD. I don't think NL would be even fun to boss on due to the survivability. I honestly hope after I liberate I see the gains I'm expecting. 210m CP NL and near maxed hexa in interactive as of now. The shadowers near that same funding can already solo BM. Even with max hexa off burst is bs.
Are you guys gonna do this post balance update? I'm not too sure how different it's going to be over here since we have a bit different tier of classes than KMS due to +10 Atk speed, but I'm sure some of these scores are bound to change after the major balance patch Korea had.
Something tummy touched on with db origin, the annoying part is, if u lose even half a second too early for w/e reason (maybe u had to cancel it to or dodge a oneshot) ur burst basically goes to sht, last resort definitely expires before the proc, maybe even AB, it feels really bad... i dont think thats exactly what he meant to say, but this is incredibly annoying to play around.
you don't farm for ror4, you just get it eventually from bossing. I would only swap to DB if you think you'd have more fun on that class. DB also needs RoR
How is shadower learning curve a 6, learning to land trickblade with assassinate plus ACTUAL meso weaving not sticky keys so you can get 10-20 more hits per seconds. sticky keys = 65 hits, actual weaving hits up to 87 (recorded in kms server). To get the most out of shadower, its a 10 in the learning curve.
I boss up to ckalos with my shad and no it isn't that hard. Weaving is just muscle memory and using trick blade isn't that hard. Class is also pretty forgiving with how often trick blade comes up. The only thing hard is getting savage blow with LR up but that's also getting easier.
They explained it literally in this video that they defined learning curve not really as ceiling minmaxing but the fundamentals of the class. Also your class aint that hard bro
@@duckey9516 anyone can boss up to ckalos with good gear, this is about mechanics not ability to defeat a boss. do a culvert run and miss 2 trickblades and see how much less your score is. bro theres literally no way the learning curve for nw is a 1. there's literally so many small things i legit didnt even know about until i was level 245 and after I learnt it and figured it out, it was streamline after. The burst and constant dps yes is braindead but all of the small things, there's literally no way you'd be able to min/max this class without a guide or build path or something. A 1 is in terms you legit just play the class and have no complications what so ever. yeah I'm a bit biased because I play it but still. learning all the ins and outs of this class skyrocketed my progression and understanding of the class and how it works properly.
Have you not watched any of the other vids of this series? Learning curve is rated on how much you need to learn to play the class at a functional level, not how much tech a class has.
I remember having to learn jump attack and whether the quint macro was working or not as of the latest patches, the movement was much tighter. it is indeed easier now, especially since they brought back a relevant vamp effect to the class. there was a point where the vamp was so good for early bosses you could cheese them by just holding down your bossing skill, then they nerfed it and it did next to nothing. with ignition it is the way it is currently. I've had a nw since the cap of 120 and it's now my main, i'm not very good, but I'd still agree that it is at least more difficult than hero, mihile, ab, dw, of the characters I've played more regularly or use as bossing mules. it being a "ranged class" actually doesn't matter in 2024 because the hit boxes are so large, for example dw, they have pretty much the same range and dw has more if you consider rift. nw movement is overhyped, it was useful and necessary for them to have slightly better air control with flash jumps back when jump attacking was necessary, what you really have is the normal double flash jump for thieves and the smallest backstep in terms of movement. I would honestly say that nl and nw have probably the most vanilla movement in the game barring fj mages and even then they have mage upjump. Rush feels so much better in bossing, especially since most of them are pretty responsive now, then again you do have darksight, which was useful for 1 mechanic but it looks like most bosses are moving away from unnecessary meteors.
@@VShadowsinX you would need to learn how to use darksight effectively, manage last resort, know that you can air stall with rapid throw, remember to reverse backstep, toggle flash jump to drop momentum. These are the hoops you need to jump through for your survivability instead of training wheels like rush and . Some classes have rush and but need to combo or have mechanics to manage. Classes that don't, like hero and dw, I would rank nw a bit higher.
@@VShadowsinX well just one of the basic things I literally didn't know because at a "functional level" i didn't understand that ravenous bats was for bossing and shadow bats was for mobbing. Without fully understanding your skills and dps, proper rotation for optimal dps, movement styles, being able to get GDS to teleport to you by holding down and the GDS button for the highest optimal burst damage or using it to get out of sticky situations, no one is going to know that stuff just by playing the class.
