    Succulent information Care tips for succulents
    1)SOIL- well draining ,porous,loose soil…non organic,a soil media that doesn’t retain moisture.
    2)POT - smaller the pot better ideally 3-4 inches pot depth is good enough for a medium size succulent.
    3)WATERING - only when the soil is bone dry however green coloured succulents like haworthia ,aloe mainTain slight Moisture but not soggy wet soil.
    4)LIGHT - brightly coloured succulents provide direct morning sunlight for 5-6 hours post acclimation .Green coloured succulents like haworthia,strings of pearls or any string varieties indirect bright light.
    5)Fertiliser - is not the top priority if you don’t use fertilisers it’s fine…but if you do go for liquid based fertiliser 1/2 the strength what’s mentioned on the bottle dilute in water ….and only feed the succulents that are in their growing period …never feed dormant succulents…never add too much fertiliser it will make the succulent weaker …during the growing period once a month or once in two month should be good ….wishing you all the luck

    thank you very much for your videos. Although there are hundreds of videos for plants and succulents, your point of you is always to the point, easy to follow and "different". Greetings from Greece!

    Your videos are so helpful. Thank you. In addition to making sure the soil is completely dry i also check the firmness of the mid level leaves. If they are soft/pliable and wrinkle easily upon pressing outside edges in then i will water completely. If they are firm to the pressing in i do not water even if the soil is dry. I noticed when i started doing this i lose less succulents to overwatering than I used to.

      I always try to check the leaves too, but I have to say I haven't been checking the firmness of the mid level leaves - I will try that!

      oh yes that’s one task to complete 😆…hence I have started this tray method to help me with watering ..winters is still ok but summer is crazy …because watering is bit more frequent 😬

    Thank you Sir, this revision video is great and it's helpful inorder that we don't forget the basics.
    Since we are on the topic of overwatering and leaf changes like transparency what are the signs of a root bound succulent shown on the leaves?

    • @LushGardener
      @LushGardener  Месяц назад

      to be honest there are no tell tell signs of root bound succulents ...they look normal only thig is you see the roots coming out of the drain hole and maybe the growth will be bit slow but this will take about 3-4 years for a succulent to et root bound ...but i noticed it will still put pups despite it getting bound maybe that's the catch lol ...in a good way ...i noticed one happy with the frills i will make a video on it soon ...if that's the case its a good way to increase pups lol

      This is very useful and interesting information also it's amazing how they don't show no sign and adapt so well.
      Thank you Sir and I hope you have a fantastic week ahead 🙏

    Uh oh, I think I killed my two Echeveria Lolas via over-watering. It was the same issue, the plump yellow leaves falling off. >.

      Oh no, I’m so sorry, yes it’s a case of overwatering…m sure now onwards you will be able to detect it well in advance 🙂
