I agree, pageant in the US is not much of a relevance its like they don’t care or IDK unlike here in Asian country where we considered like a super bowl where die hard fans meet, more media exposure, girls activity for advertising, fashion show left and right, maybe they are experimenting to stay away from the traditional pageant, too bad for the candidates that they were not even showcase more of their advocacy. kudos still to the production for putting up a show.

We wish we had more time to prepare and I know she would’ve done better if we had the time. Some girls had three months to prepare which makes a huge difference. Also worth mentioning that we had to individually pay for flights and hair and makeup everyday which was not provided by Miss USA.

Pop the corn and feed the children! Miss Walker is giving us what we need. Lol
I agree with Dani's thoughts and commentary.
    Some thoughts I had:
*Laylah's speech 🙄... giving women voices when she silenced the voices of the 2023 winners while she keeps yapping hers.
*I think it was the mid 90s when they started doing the parade of gowns prior to the evening gown competition.
*I think a top 20 is too much for USA with 51 contestants. A top 15 that competes in both swimsuits and gowns resulting in a top five would be better. At Universe where there are 80+ contestants needs the top 20. Lesser semifinal spots makes it even more competitive from the prelims.
*I didn't like that some girls had capes and some didn't for swimsuit. I actually prefer that they all wear the same swimsuit and maybe just stick with a one piece or two piece option.
*That scepter looks like something I can get at Party City. If they want to go with a scepter, make it match the crown and make it bigger.
*This is something that's bugged me since 2011 when they made this switch but I hate that the runner up doesn't get her moment as she doesn't get announced. I preferred the announcement of the first runner up then the winner like they did up to 2010.
*Do you think they chose a winner who would be a good Miss USA or someone who could do well maybe even win Universe? I think Michigan fits the first rather than the latter.
Thank you for this video and looking forward to the next one!

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for your Super Thanks! This is such a huge help for the channel!
You brought up some great points too. Also, I think the reason they announce the winner as they do now is for the news clips that are shared the next day. It's so you can hear the winners name called as she reacts to the announcement. If you announce the runner up, you'll get the queen's reaction at that moment, but when taken out of context for the news, it's confusing to see the queen react when her state wasn't announced.

    Hello Dani and everyone,
I am not sure where to begin, but to be blunt. I have been watching the Miss USA pageant since the 90s, and I never thought the day would come that I would be so sad to see the decline of this wonderful pageant. I remember as a young child waiting for weeks in anticipation for the pageant to come on. I remember going to the grocery store and waiting to open the TV Guide to see the Miss USA ad in the pages LOL. It was such a pain to watch this years pageants. My goal was to only support and cheer on the beautiful ladies. I honestly didn't care who won because I am so nervous for the winner being around Layla and her group of YES people.
What is the saddest part of this whole mess is seeing all the state directors step down. All the legendary men and women who sent the best of the best. The Mills, Kimberly Nicewonder, Britt Boyse, Melissa Proctor....so sad to see the years of history gone in a blink of th eye. I actually started my channel to honor GuyRex and their contribution to the Miss USA system. These individuals are irreplaceable.

The show gave LOW BUDGET I mean just horrible. I believe Miss USA looks like a joke to its own country and other countries around the world as well. Some states advanced to top 20 who I felt had lower energy performances than others who had stronger.
Many people were surprised over Texas not advancing, but in all honesty, I felt from the beginning that she was not going to win because I felt that there were other candidates who had stronger advocacy work than her.
When it came to the question, uhm Michigan simply did not answer the question, Kentucky was HORRIBLE I mean did she do any training on interview at all??? Oklahoma answered okay, Tennessee I didn’t think she answered that well but to me, when I was watching it live, Ohio had the best answer for me.
When it came time for current Miss USA Savannah to take her final walk, OMG the moment was so cringe as Keltie held her arm out and just said go ahead take your walk? They could have made that moment sooooo much better!!!!!!! It was PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!
I was also disappointed that Louisiana did not place, I was really rooting for her.
When it came time to announce the winner and runner ups, I was FLOORED, I mean my jaw was on the floor when Ohio was announced as 4th runner up. I could heard the audience gasping at Ohio and Oklahomas placements!!!
Apart from the two former Miss USA judges, I was really questioning how these other judges are selected. What experience do they have? What qualifications do they have that should make them trustworthy judges in selecting the next Miss USA? HOW THE HELL WAS KENTUCKY FIRST RUNNER UP???
At the end of the day, Miss USA has completely lost that glamorous reputation, it looks like a joke to the entire world. For my self and the women who want to compete or wanted to compete in the future, it’s given a huge turnoff. Even for the women who want to join and compete to further their advocacies, will they even be provided with the resources necessary? Will they even be prepared in the necessary ways for Miss Universe?
If someone new does not step in, or we do not get new ownership, I believe that this could be the end of Miss USA.
Also, I am starting to believe that the downfall of Miss USA is maybe an inside job being allowed from the very top of the whole MU organization.

This pageant was sooooo disappointing. In my opinion, Laylah has really brought down the value of Miss USA & Miss Teen USA. I will say that I'm glad to see the teens televised again. If this is how the future of the pageant, even the biggest of pageant fans will no longer watch. I wish Crystle Stewart was still directing. In two years, she was able to get a Miss Universe crown with R'bonney. I just don't see our country win if this is how the competition is going to be ran. Laylah has to be willing to compromise, take the criticism, & learn from it instead of getting so easily offended. We're going to lose our #POWERHOUSE status in the future. #SMH

The Miss USA Pageant 2024 was a disappointing departure from its usual glamour and high production values, appearing notably low-budget and carelessly executed. The food provided to the contestants was subpar, forcing family members to step in and supply snacks and additional beverages to keep their loved one hydrated throughout their busy days. The overall pacing felt disjointed, with lackluster production structure and an uninspired judges' panel further diminishing the event's appeal. This year’s pageant was a stark letdown, underscoring a need for significant improvements to meet the standards of this iconic competition.

Ohhh Dani the cricket sounds cracked me up 😂😂😂 I TOTALLY agree though I’m 42 years old and have been a pageant fan since I was 12 in 1994 I’ve watched EVERY single Miss USA , teen USA, universe, America, world pageant every year for 30 years now I saw the decline since 2020 of the Miss America system “ like when Emma Broyles won in 2022 and Nina Delvaluri said she won a $1,000 dollar scholarship instead of a one hundred thousand dollar scholarship 😳😞 but this year was by far the worst Miss USA and teen USA productions ever , I remember in years past they would have artists like Lady Gaga in 2008, Ricky Martian in 2001, Enrique iglesias in 1997, Pitbull , usher MANY others and hosts like Willam shatner, Naomi Campbell , Elle McPherson, Billy bush, Nick lachey , Nick Jonas etc etc now it’s an unknown guy and a gal off the bachelorette that didn’t win 😒 not even good background music, so very sad and I nearly fell off my chair when I saw your Miss teen review and her crown already broke , speaking of prizes do you remember years ago like in the late 90’s and early 2000’s the reigning title holder would show off all the prizes the new winner would get like jewels, furs, a 10,000 clothing shopping spree a NEW car etc her own apartment in NY, now what does she get a faux stone crown that breaks 20 minutes after being crowned and a years worth of belittling by Layla Rose? Like WTH 🤦🏻‍♂ seriously, so sad this has happened to a once vibrant, inspiring , entertaining organization 😢😢😢

I always enjoy your videos, and man...this year's pageant was rough indeed. Things that would have improved the pageant: 1. Introducing the contestants while they are walking down Hollywood Walk of Fame dressed as bootleg Disney characters. 2. Substituting swimwear with scuba suits. 3. Substituting gowns with comfy sweats, since that seems to be what Miss USA will be wearing as she sits in her apartment in Miami watching Netflix instead of doing appearances and fashion shows. 4. Giving the winner a giant lollipop instead of those weird, sad flowers; it would have lasted longer. 5. Literally anything creative, entertaining, classy, or, you know...anything...
