I actually really like Deltarune Reimagined. I like their style and i dont think people making fan creations should have to feel forced to make their creations in Toby's style. Its unique and a breath of fresh air
Which is honestly kinda funny to see how the tables flipped because the main issue with Undertale AU's was that they didn't fit the style of Undertale and finding things that actually matched the game it was based off of and trying to emulate toby's humor and style was rare
Didn't expect to be anywhere near the Top 3 considering the quality of others AUs in this list ^^ Deltarune:Reimagined is indeed less of a prediction-type AU and more of a "What if I had written Deltarune" idea becoming reality. Unfortunately, while I do like where it is going, it will never reach the level I'd wish it could considering how huge the whole project is (and the fact that I'm working on it alone), so I've had to cut corners and only make the most important parts of each chapter. I made Foane at a time where Deltarune:Reimagined was not even written, so Chapter 3 will be completely rewritten, Foane redesigned to fit the story as a whole better and her theme, Signal of Freedom, will be redone too. Hopefully you will like what is to come in Deltarune:Reimagined's future ^^
Oh my God thank you so much for mentioning The Metropolis and including me in the credits (people often forget). I love what you said about Nick it means a lot, and I agree there need to be more supporting characters, it's partially why Nick was created! As for the story, we have a ton of plans but haven't revealed a lot yet due to currently doing a ton behind the scenes. Hopefully we can reveal more soon! :)
I'm going to be honest with you, seeing people come up with cat mike reminds me of early recreations of prehistoric organisms. Like how the early Mammoth recreation looked like a giant boar with tusks and the early pterosaur recreations looked like bats. Pretty cool.

I love these fan takes so much. From my unhealthy research, I have discovered over 110 Secret Boss OCs. I have never seen another game have a dedicated fan content community like this. The Sweepstakes especially made the amount of fan takes and OCs absolutely skyrocket. My favorite fan AU definitely has to be R.V Pine's AU. I've been following it since day 1 and the amount of lore and cool ideas it has is incredible. I really hope the fangame thing works out even if it's extremely ambitious.
I totally agree with putting ZET so high on the list i agree that its not very much in "toby style" but that onesly makes it better it almost feels like a different game (in the best way possible) based on Toby's work also the concept of a secret boss excepting their Faith is fantastic and very refreshing compared to all rhe the other secret boss concept having the flaw of being freedom obsessed like spamton or totally insane like jevil having a character being some sort of ""half way point"" between the 2 and trying to stop kris amd the gang from going doen her same path is really great
Now that i look at the list, a lots of things really got changed here. 1) Fun Town Chapter 4 is now located in the Sans' shop instead of Light World, due to the plans change. The rest are more obvious, but i'll write them anyway 2) Metropolis was now expanded from being the Chapter 3 AU to Chapter 3-7 AU called Andromedia. 3) The Garden AU seemed to be... finished i think? It looks like that anyway. 4) Wandering Makers are making the fangame that is not a prediction take, but more of a Secret Boss rush. 5) Well, as i said before, Deltarune: Reimagined was renamed to Lambdarune. But it's also not a prediction take however.
I’m pretty sure the garden is getting a final secret boss animation (or possibly a fangame…) And I don’t know if I would call the Wandering makers fangame a boss rush. Pantheon of the discarded appears to be a multiverse hopping game that goes between gameplay in a Gaster related darker world, and various secret boss fights in different dark worlds. But other than that… yeah that’s basically all the major changes (apart from more RV pine content I guess but that’s obvious). I will probably make a sequel to this vid eventually, before the next chapters come out so I can have a “final ranking” before everything changes.
@ValueNetwork If you make a sequel will you consider adding some new projects to the list, or doing a special mentions for them? I've seen some really cool chapter takes pop up after this video released and I think they deserve a spotlight as well.

This is so cool. I love all the shoutouts to creators I really love with great stuff and I'm so happy Solis got a shoutout. I'm also happy for Liss. She used to be in the Spooky Month fandom and I absolutely adored her art for it. I'm happy she left and found her passions though, although I miss the old content. Now I'm mad that the only thing I have for Aurora Borealis AU (Chapter 3-7 Prediction AU) is a document explaining Annabun (my Ch3 secret boss), some sprites, and two drawings of my Knight Dess and Gaster. I would have loved to do more and see my work shouted out in a video, since I'm very proud of it.

It makes me happy that its been so long since chapter two came out but there is still a constant flow of videos being uploaded about deltarune, i love these games so much and it makes me happy to see so many others doing the same

Really cool video! I recognized many of what was presented but it was cool learning about new AU's like The Metropolis. RV Pine's Deltarune and Deltarune: Reimagined were good picks for the top ones. While I still need to know about Pine's works, I do know they and the rest of the people they work with a major player in the AU scene, and their music are always really sweet. Deltarune: Reimagined, while way more detailed then what we may see in canon Deltarune, is really fascinating and full of mystery. I see it almost like Deltarune+, where it's the original story but much more lore piled on top of it to explain away many questions about how the Deltarune universe works, as well as positing new ideas that make sense within the Narrative, and make it soar even higher. In short, I feel Deltarune AU's as of right now are incredible works that I hope never get forgotten even when the actual chapters release. It's a community I hope the future Undertale fanworks take note of going forward too. While many of the more famous Undertale AU's are rather lackluster nowadays, a good source of new stories that are really inspiring could be seen in the Othertale genre, which basically are stories that take place in the canon Undertale world, but expand it with stories in different locations and time periods not connected to Mount Ebott, with the idea that not all monsters were imprisoned in the Underground, but rather many different places known as "caches." Anyhow, just wanted to state my piece about your ranking. It's always nice to know how active the Deltarune community is. Keep up the great work!!!

The ut/dr community grew so much from these repetitve edgy sans fights to full original predictions for deltarune with amazing designs, characters and damn the musics These people are also really cool and nice
i miss when prediction were the biggest thing in the fandom, so many fun takes and ideas formed up arround this time, but now i feel it sorta slowed down alot it makes me sad i didnt participate in it much.
If the T.V head is actually named Tenna maybe Mike will be the secret boss. I image he will look like a microphone. Also Kris left their door open so maybe the entire town will become a dark world. Also in the 3 save files there is always something different in Asriels drawers for each one. Maybe those will change how the story goes or for just an Easter egg.

Ok so, unrelated of this topic (i think) but i originally had an idea of how deltarune's story should go. P.S. this story is probably not going to be in the base game, so this is a story based around how the character should act. After the events of chapter 3 After sealing the dark fountain, the fun gang must deal with the fact that undyne had learned the existence of the dark world,so to make sure that no one in hometown panics they told undyne to keep quiet about it, undyne is confused of why keeping it a secret, susie told her if someone were to know about it, it could cause massive panic in hometown. So undyne reluctenly agree to keep it secret, so she parts ways from the dreemurr household but she has recorded footage of the dark world,so she headed to the mayor's office of something urgent she had gotten in, and nervously told of what happened, at first the mayor didn't believe it thinking she was messing with her and distracting her line of work, but undyne had shown her the video which caused her to atleast agree to help her deal with these fountains. So the mayor asks of how they deal with these dark world's,undyne thought very hard of this and suddenly she had an idea, she would recruit the dogs she caught earlier before chapter 3 to be part of this little team,the mayor immediately shuts down the idea at first because they're criminals and letting all of them roam on the town will not go well, but undyne interjects saying "well maybe we can it a community service and once that they back to their cells", the mayor was thinking about this and after a long pause, a long sigh can be heard "fine but once the fountains are gone, they're going back to their cell" she said, " am i making myself clear" she yelled, "yes, i heard" she said. Before undyne was about to leave, the mayor wanted tell her something "remember undyne, i'm giving you the chance to help the town so don't this mess it up", undyne turn back looking determined On her face"i won't" she said quietly, as she walks out the door. Ok so yeah, that was story i had probably around 2020(i think)so i'm probably sure it's not best story, but hey i atleast try.
Glad to see Kuromis Stuff mentioned, really underrated Stuff since i think theyr Predictions were the most "Vanilla" Style that felt quite Deltarune like. Even if she only made it as a Honorable Mention...
My favorite theory is that the secret bosses reflects an extreme form of the bosses in undertale, Jevil believes they are the only free one in the whole dark world, locked away in a cell, and toriel is locked away in the ruins, free from asgore and other monsters. Spamton is trying to be a BIG SHOT again, known by al, but he fell down to nothing and nobody remembers him, he wants to be BIG again, papyrus wants friends, wants to be known through the whole underground, sounds similar to being BIG if you ask me, especially with spamton mentioning friendship, so I could imagine the third secret boss has a hate for lightners, or shares some other major trait with Undyne, Perhaps the third secret boss has a lot of determination, and to fight them you have to do something weird to a save? maybe saving in the same spot repeatedly, or interacting with a specific save point. ofc this is just theory

Yeah I just didn’t get into nostalgia nightmare. I don’t like the idea of the Vessel and Kris becoming 2 different characters. It gives me chapter 1 prediction vibes. That AUs Mike is fun though, and the creator is a good composer. I will watch the future episodes, It’s just not one of my favourites.
one of my favourite fan works is definitely incidence by jungledragon and while most of the story is a rewrite of the first two chapters, i really like the ideas about the TV world!!
IDK. I’m not fully versed in every swap AU. And I know number 1 would just be Chapter rewritten and that’s boring I want to talk about AUs more, I have a video coming up about the Salt route AU. But I just don’t think swap AUs are my thing.
10. Mike it’s not my typical favorite since it’s just Mike of what people image. 9. The titans are a good idea I guess to be honest I don’t know much about them then there “evil” 8. Lumia is just unDyne if she went SpamTon mode 7. Big showdown Mike is the same for 10 6. Mike (2) efficient but not better 5. The radio person I forgot I don’t have any feelings and opinions same for 4.
i only put 10 on the list. I wanted to include more (thats why i put a honourable mentions segment at the start) but i didn't want the video to be super long. Rosey was Mentioned alongside Kuromis content in the Honourable mentions part of the video (3:53). Bob T.C Didnt make it into the video. Its a cool character, but i prefer the other flower themed secret bosses that made it into the video like Solis, Rosey and the Immortal Hydrangeas. (Also i really wanted to include "Another creation". i recorded your segment for the honourable mentions i just ran out of time. your fan game is really good and i regret not including it!)
My personal prediction for the chapter 3 secret boss is this: it's going to be a toy cowboy being controlled by the vines and thorns of the flowers Toriel threw away. He'll use his "Big Iron" to shoot oversized bullets the player will block using the green soul.
Although I featured AUs that go past chapter 5, I didn’t mention any of the content that goes past chapter 5. The only inclusion past chapter 5 was the flashes of ZET lore and Pines chapter 6 songs when scrolling through the soundcloud. That’s it.
Yeah that’s incredibly unfortunate (and it means I had 2 videos in a row that contained stuff that was created by a groomer without me knowing. It wasn’t the best start for my RUclips NGL) But I can’t really cut their segment from the video though, because A: the AU was also the work of Localhooligan, who was completely innocent in all this. Screepto/that AUs chapter 4 still deserves to be showcased and it still continues to this day. And B: in the videos structure is the explainer for what a AU actually is. It’s needed for the video structure. I’m glad it was just a brief honourable mention though and I didn’t go into any extra detail! If I actually had the AU in the main ranking i would’ve probably deleted this video…

So the mayor asks of how they deal with these dark world's,undyne thought very hard of this and suddenly she had an idea, she would recruit the dogs she caught earlier before chapter 3 to be part of this little team,the mayor immediately shuts down the idea at first because they're criminals and letting all of them roam on the town will not go well, but undyne interjects saying "well maybe we can it a community service and once that they back to their cells", the mayor was thinking about this and after a long pause, a long sigh can be heard "fine but once the fountains are gone, they're going back to their cell" she said, " am i making myself clear" she yelled, "yes, i heard" she said.
Before undyne was about to leave, the mayor wanted tell her something "remember undyne, i'm giving you the chance to help the town so don't this mess it up", undyne turn back looking determined
On her face"i won't" she said quietly, as she walks out the door.
Ok so yeah, that was story i had probably around 2020(i think)so i'm probably sure it's not best story, but hey i atleast try.

My favorite theory is that the secret bosses reflects an extreme form of the bosses in undertale, Jevil believes they are the only free one in the whole dark world, locked away in a cell, and toriel is locked away in the ruins, free from asgore and other monsters. Spamton is trying to be a BIG SHOT again, known by al, but he fell down to nothing and nobody remembers him, he wants to be BIG again, papyrus wants friends, wants to be known through the whole underground, sounds similar to being BIG if you ask me, especially with spamton mentioning friendship, so I could imagine the third secret boss has a hate for lightners, or shares some other major trait with Undyne, Perhaps the third secret boss has a lot of determination, and to fight them you have to do something weird to a save? maybe saving in the same spot repeatedly, or interacting with a specific save point. ofc this is just theory

Yeah I just didn’t get into nostalgia nightmare. I don’t like the idea of the Vessel and Kris becoming 2 different characters. It gives me chapter 1 prediction vibes.
That AUs Mike is fun though, and the creator is a good composer. I will watch the future episodes, It’s just not one of my favourites.

Apparently thejoker was exposed for grooming minors months ago, I’ve only learned about this info recently
Yeah that’s incredibly unfortunate (and it means I had 2 videos in a row that contained stuff that was created by a groomer without me knowing. It wasn’t the best start for my RUclips NGL)
But I can’t really cut their segment from the video though, because A: the AU was also the work of Localhooligan, who was completely innocent in all this. Screepto/that AUs chapter 4 still deserves to be showcased and it still continues to this day. And B: in the videos structure is the explainer for what a AU actually is. It’s needed for the video structure.
I’m glad it was just a brief honourable mention though and I didn’t go into any extra detail! If I actually had the AU in the main ranking i would’ve probably deleted this video…
