Just finished watching your vid...ive got a CSX, and the two things I've done are...1...i bought a hogue slip on grip bc i wasn't fond of the grip texture under the trigger, and as far as the spacer on the 12 round mag, i wrapped the mag with a single wrap of electrical tape and trimmed off the extra tape that showed above the spacer. That helped alot with the spacer sliding around or coming off during a tactical reload.
Nice video. I’ve handled examples where the false reset was pretty pronounced, but the example I have has more of a hump feel. I was still concerned as I shoot to reset, but I fired about 400 rounds the first day and I always found myself on the true reset. Seems to be the way the trigger extension interacts with the connector. For me it fits my hand well, it’s very accurate and reliable, and I’m used to 1911 manual of arms. I do wish there would be a performance center version with tuned trigger, better sights, optic cut.
A performance center version would be awesome. I think the trigger as it is, would be something I could get used to if I were going to shoot it a bunch. I think that's how most triggers are, once you've shot it enough it becomes your trigger.
@@dz-214 True. The reset doesn’t bother me, and for me (for a carry gun) the pull weight is fine, but it does have a touch of gritty feel in the break. The way the nose of the sear and the hammer’s cocking notch are exposed seems to let dirt get in there. If money were no object I’d probably snag a Wilson SFX-9, but there’d probably be things with it that didn’t exactly match my personal taste, too.
It had potential. Mine failed after 59 rounds and after sending it back three times and waiting about 5 months I finally got a replacement which is getting sold before I even fire it. The biggest con to me is S&W customer service.
Mine would only fire with one in the chamber with no magazine inserted. Called customer service and was instantly emailed a prepaid fedex label. Two weeks and a trigger bar replacement later and the gun functions perfectly.
CSX owner just bought mine the reset issue wasn't present in the 4 samples I tested , rear sight isn't same as shield front is , optic cut probably isn't going to happen not enough meat over the hammer pocket . if you have any other questions let me know . also 75$ rebate right now
There are two places that you can send your slide into to get your csx an optic cut. Vulcan machine and Tacrig both will do it. You will lose your rear sight though.
I wish it were! Actually I wish it were 10! I shot this at an Action Shooting International Match which is IDPAesque but more of a run what ya bring type match. They are a great place to test gear and generally have a good time. Sometimes I'll shoot them to IDPA rules because you can pretty easily, but I was in a hurry that day!
Excellent pistol.🔫

That makes me not want to even bother with setting one up for myself...thanks for the input!
I had a great experience with their customer service
