Well some make sense, like the "1000 rooms" ending where Spooky just kinda shows up in a sort of celebration room is if you turn on the "no jumpscares" option, basically they don't reward you for not going in hard mode. Plus, in the original game (and probably this one) the credits mention "did you really think this game would end seriously" which makes sense. We beat the game like we started it, in a joking manner.

Spooky decided to make a army so that she could rule the world and not be called cute anymore.
Part of the reason she was upset is that people didn’t know her costume was, in fact, not a grim reaper, it was the titular character from an Edgar Allen Poe story, The Masquerade of Red Death. Also, her father was the one who shot her dead. The firecrackers going off triggered war PTSD, so in a fit of pure fear, he killed his own daughter, which just adds even more fuel to the tragedy. Also, her father might have been the one behind the dollhouse and the experimentation, and might even be the player, but that’s just a theory. A really stupid theory, thanks for reading.

On Halloween night, a little girl wanted to scare as many people as she could. She tried and tried, but nobody seemed to be frightened by her. Well, one of the endless specimen's death message says something about that mansion being something that makes the most unrealistic fantasies real. Spooky for example scares people. But not you. That makes her sad, obviously. But what if the protagonists true dream is to murder? A normal historean, who wants nothing but to kill. My point is, maybe the 'bad' end isnt really bad? I think even as specimen he should still be able to control his body.

I'll try to explain all endings the best as i can Regular bad ending : if you managed to kill the enemy (idk how you got this but i think you have to do it faster), you were brought to Spooky and turned into a specimen, thus you're now stuck in the mansion forever looking for its next victim. Regular good ending : if you managed to not kill the enemy, the roof collapses on you and you die, and thus became a ghost and then recruited by Spooky to become a soldier to start a conquest, but at least, you're technically free, and invincible (because you're a ghost, not even an 800mm HE shell can kill you, unless of course, exorcism or a bullet covered in religious substances) As for both Karamari endings, i don't know, I'm sorry, i guess your actions before the ending chooses which end you're going to get. Spooky's back story : due to spooky's posture and looks, she was considered adorable by most people, which she doesn't like, and then on Halloween, she tried to scare people by setting a murder scene, and when someone walks up to it she set off the firecrackers which simulates gunshot sounds, thus scaring people away, however, she accidentally did this prank on a war veteran with PTSD, that also happened to carry a revolver pistol (seeing from the casing's shape it looks like a .44, meaning (judging by when the cartridge was made) that the war veteran was a Vietnam war soldier), once he sees the blood it triggered his PTSD and when the firecrackers went off his reaction kicked in and when he saw spooky (possibly running away), he shot her with the pistol, killing her Also just a theory : she may have survived the shot, and was brought to a hospital, where she unfortunately died due to complications, this would explain why there is the Karamari hospital.
Alright men, here's the full story Spooky was just a girl who loved to spool but she was never taken seriously given how cute she looked. So one Halloween night, she used fire crackers to help with the scaring part but the first person she scared... Had a gun. The man then framed an old man. Oh, and it's confirmed that the guy who had PTSD, was her father. The father, never being able to say goodbye, brought spooky back but couldn't keep spooky in the living realm, so he tied her soul to the mansion. The mother eventually passed away (more than likely from suicide) and the dad soon after. Spooky released all the specimens and now the mansion is hers. Her goal, to prove Halloween is a time for spooky and not cuteness.
Sadly I think if I played this game I would probably get the bad ending where you become a specimen lol. I hate horror games and get scared easily so I'd probably be swinging that axe a ton as soon as I got it and end up getting the bad ending as a result haha.

Can someone explain to me the meaning of the hospital endings?
Well, one of the endless specimen's death message says something about that mansion being something that makes the most unrealistic fantasies real. Spooky for example scares people. But not you. That makes her sad, obviously. But what if the protagonists true dream is to murder? A normal historean, who wants nothing but to kill. My point is, maybe the 'bad' end isnt really bad? I think even as specimen he should still be able to control his body.

I'll try to explain all endings the best as i can
Regular bad ending : if you managed to kill the enemy (idk how you got this but i think you have to do it faster), you were brought to Spooky and turned into a specimen, thus you're now stuck in the mansion forever looking for its next victim.
Regular good ending : if you managed to not kill the enemy, the roof collapses on you and you die, and thus became a ghost and then recruited by Spooky to become a soldier to start a conquest, but at least, you're technically free, and invincible (because you're a ghost, not even an 800mm HE shell can kill you, unless of course, exorcism or a bullet covered in religious substances)
As for both Karamari endings, i don't know, I'm sorry, i guess your actions before the ending chooses which end you're going to get.
Spooky's back story : due to spooky's posture and looks, she was considered adorable by most people, which she doesn't like, and then on Halloween, she tried to scare people by setting a murder scene, and when someone walks up to it she set off the firecrackers which simulates gunshot sounds, thus scaring people away, however, she accidentally did this prank on a war veteran with PTSD, that also happened to carry a revolver pistol (seeing from the casing's shape it looks like a .44, meaning (judging by when the cartridge was made) that the war veteran was a Vietnam war soldier), once he sees the blood it triggered his PTSD and when the firecrackers went off his reaction kicked in and when he saw spooky (possibly running away), he shot her with the pistol, killing her
Also just a theory : she may have survived the shot, and was brought to a hospital, where she unfortunately died due to complications, this would explain why there is the Karamari hospital.

Alright men, here's the full story
Spooky was just a girl who loved to spool but she was never taken seriously given how cute she looked. So one Halloween night, she used fire crackers to help with the scaring part but the first person she scared... Had a gun. The man then framed an old man. Oh, and it's confirmed that the guy who had PTSD, was her father. The father, never being able to say goodbye, brought spooky back but couldn't keep spooky in the living realm, so he tied her soul to the mansion. The mother eventually passed away (more than likely from suicide) and the dad soon after. Spooky released all the specimens and now the mansion is hers.
Her goal, to prove Halloween is a time for spooky and not cuteness.
Sadly I think if I played this game I would probably get the bad ending where you become a specimen lol. I hate horror games and get scared easily so I'd probably be swinging that axe a ton as soon as I got it and end up getting the bad ending as a result haha.

All of these endings suck; you feel no satisfaction for getting literally any of them.
The HD remaster is good but the axe animation looks weak, overall it’s really good
