I was going to pass on this one. And I am so glad I didn't. It was a wonderful testimony all glory to God! @@kateorson4754 Just get excited about the new things you are learning and share them with her. Let her see you in the word every day. Point things out on TV that aren't aligned with his word. Not in a preachy way but just in passing. So she warms up. Watch the LED light videos with her. Especially the older ones. They're great. Like all the Disney ones are fantastic.

That's why it's so important to teach our children to not rely on OSAS. To teach them that we live our lives in obedience to the Creator because we love Him. To not take the gift of salvation for granted by treating Jesus like our meal ticket, or a doormat.
God saved us. He is responsible for maintaining that.

This caused him to fall out of favor with God and his pride kept him from going back to God. Yes only God can save us, but yes we can choose to reject His salvation by our actions.

We should not think that the Decalogue is done away with but that the principles of them are to be received in the heart. The intents of the thoughts are to be renewed and that requires that we stop conceptualizing sin as merely ‘repentance from acts that lead to death’ as Paul speaks of Hebrews ch. 6:1.
@@caleschnellthat sounds good. But it can lead to dangerous teachings if not clear. For instance, if written in the heart is stealing still a sin? What about murder? What about committing adultery? What about idolatry? What about breaking theSabbath? If we only find ourselves spiritualizing away one commandment, but the rest are still the same, this is inconsistent theology and not what the Bible teaches.

Yet the Lord wants an intelligence knowledge of the consequences of sin that we know that such way is not in harmony with Him because it is experientially in not harmony with His kingdom.

Several things in your testimony hit home to me. My husband and I were involved in paganism at one point, him in druidry and me witchcraft . That is how we met. Both of us had a christian background and things happened in our lives that led to us "searching" elsewhere to fill the holes that only God can fill. We had never experienced a true relationship with Jesus and transformation of our hearts when we were involved in churches before. I praise God for using the experiences we had to show us His truth. I also praise Him because He brought us out of that darkness at the same time! ❤

Fun fact out of South Africa! Here in my country we have been using a burning cauldron for food. As a cooking pot to cook grains and one-pot-stews in for many many years. Especially at outdoor events and special occasions. Kind of like a Barbecue outside, but rather a stew on an open fire. It's a tradition amongst all South Africans. They come in different sizes. Depending on how big your family is. But we never used it for witchcraft.

The moral of the story is. Jumping from the fire into the frying pan is a step....There is deception even in Christianity. People will die in the ditch defending these deceptions. It is tradition vs truth. Feelings, emotions, experience vs the Bible and obedience to the word of God.
Being open to find more of the truth and not having that false sense of "I've arrived" is important. This is lacking in many talks among traditional Christianity. Just because you came out of the fire, doesn't mean you shouldn't look around and see if your in the frying pan. It's a step. We have to walk, not step with Jesus 👍🙏

Not growing up with religious beliefs isn’t necessarily sad,,, you don’t know any different. You can still have a fulfilling life. I get that the person who said that probably grew up Christian, but I thought that was a little off.
If I’m specifically looking for the truth of life, then in a full hearted way, i ask Jesus to reveal himself. Many take the rebellious path to find their way back to the father. Some never find their way back.

I know why that is. It's because human nature wants to do what you want, it feels good. If you are a true Christian you have to deny yourself all those flesh sins. It is NOT easy walking in Jesus' s footsteps. That is why so many people will try everything but Jesus Christ. You HAVE to give yourself over to God to have the strength and keep that strength to fight those flesh sins.
Makes sense though. All those other things promise you worldly gain, fun experiences, or even supernatural powers. Christianity promises you separation from the world, difficult character development, and inner peace based on the faith in the Gospel. It’s much less initially appealing from the perspective of where to start.

I don’t do yoga at all and it’s not because of the religious roots to I can guess Hinduism and please correct me or at tell me I’m right or something but regardless of what led live says about yoga…it’s not for me and I think new age is dumb. I never did new age but I think I can say that the whole idea is a deception and stupid.
I’ll play video games, watch movies, or even secular/christian music because those are just some of my favorite things to do but I would rather do those things instead of yoga. I would rather listen to the audio version or the Bible on the youversion Bible app

I am young, speak in a way that young people understand, and was on weed for a while so my speech suffers even though I haven't used in a LONG time. I am currently trying to work on changing it. She is throwing around the word, "Christian" too loosely. She did not meet any Christian Wiccans. To be a Christian means that you not only know that Jesus paid for your sins, but also live a life pleasing to Him. A real world example would be, to marry someone and then cheat on them. You say you're married but you actually ruined and ended you're marriage agreement, in that moment. The moment you choose a lifestyle different than what the Bible outlines, you are no longer saved.
Christian Wiccans are what they call themselves and it is very important people know that there are people out there calling themselves that. They aren't actually Christian but they believe they are. We need to pray for groups like that.

When did I say Christianity is a European religion? Near East are mostly Asian countries. Israel, a near east country, is literally in Asia and not Africa. Africa is located westward of Asia, so Christianity is even more eastern than any Africa-based religion but its point of origin is still in Near East. Stop Africanizing Christianity too much when most of its churches are in Asia ( although Ethiopia is in Africa, Corinth and Rome is in Europe. Jerusalem is always in Asia.)
