- Anomaly Scorned Mango is no joke.
Tanky as hell, mostly average hitzones, takes no elemental damage from the front, doesn't topple and very noticeably faster than the base fight. Not to mention (particularly for lance) wonky hitboxes on some moves that requires precise positioning to counter, which made me gave up the idea of trying adrenaline just to stop him from changing area.
Still love the fight tho.
Being honest, as a LS and Bow mainly I have always thought lances were boring. This changed my opinion. Great hunt, mate.
hell nah .. people think dual sword is the anime style of monster hunter .. but i think Lance full counter is the real anime weapon
ive once party with 1 lance player ... we instantly click 2x full counter iron steel
1000+ lance usage in sunbreak, still not bored. Playing lance is like a delicate dance with the monsters
I like this grounded style too but lately I play mainly spiral thrust and its so much fun zomming acros the monster using the angles of the dashes :)
Yeah man I was the same way, I played longsword, charge blade and greatsword, tried lance one time in the training room in World and didn’t like it. I thought I wouldn’t like the lance, then I fought Rajang in the arena quest with it and it inspired me to try it. Now i’m starting to really like the lance, I love using insta block, fighting monsters like Rajang with it is a lot of fun parrying all of his attacks
Honestly with you liking LS and probably playing a more counter style, you might enjoy perfect block lance. It's a short window shield block that lets you get off a double swipe of damage. So you can get off two pokes then do a dodge and if need be get off the block without losing damage number time. Definitely not gonna be getting off damage numbers of the LS but once you get it down the weapon is enjoyable
Love seeing the Lance play, well done!
great fight. I always found mango to be a great MU for lance.
Nice run, always good to see runs without cheated augments.
You mean the mod/mods for the game, or without mods in original game you can create some OP augments?
magna + affliction = looks sick af
Lance is my weapon of choice for scorned magnamalo, everything makes sense, I can parry almost every attacks and thx to insta guard you both get good DPS and no cheap damage. What a time to play lance
Instablock for life
@@holymonster6907 for real, it's such a step up from the clunky mhgu adept style
Whoa didn't expect a status lance to be so good
Great stuff. This makes me wanna Lance again.
great play
Es mi primera vez con la lanza. Y me pareció fácil de jugar pero difícil de dominar. Y este tipo la domina con absoluta habilidad. 10/10 run
Awesome gameplay!
A basic master rank magnamalo took me 8min and I think roundabout 10 to 20 seconds. To se someone do in under 6 minutes in way way stronger kinda hurts XD
Lance is so much more fun in Rise, I tried to go back to World and play it abit, but man it feels so much worse
I wish I understood how to play Lance. Great hunt
Wait what? Guard 1 is enough for Lance to insta block most attacks?
Or you just know which attacks are not going beyond guard level 1?
Or not only Guard ability boost how strong attacks you can block without flinching?
Instablock doesnt require any guard, guard 1 is there just for guard dash, which is used to access leaping thrust
How do you gaurd when you backstep like that? is there some sort of auto guard mechanic to the lance now? Also when you blocked without the wirebug one. I havent touched lance in awhile so I'm wondering about that and might pick it up again.
the backstep is just the guard rush but backwards, so yeah it has an auto guard mechanic
I guess you are referring to guard dash and instablock respectively.
For guard dash its basically a hop that guards you for the duration of the hop, which you can also do in any direction if you chain it after an action (etc. hops, pokes). Guard dash also combo into leaping thrust, one of lance's best move in this game.
Instablock is a switch skill that let you perfect guard (no chip damage, no stamina loss for anything unless it's unblockable) almost any move if you initiate your guard right before an attack hits, which you can then press multiple time for multihit attacks.
@@holymonster6907 oh i see i guess you were doing everything so quickly i couldn't tell that was a wirebug skill since you also did the one where you throw a wirebug upward.
how did you do the dive at 1:22 without sheathing your weapon?
the silkbind skill he did (the one where you jumps backwards) sheathes you weapon for you. Forgot the name of the skill.
Yeah he used sheathing retreat into an aerial dodge, the supermanned as soon as he hit the ground
damn!
Magnífico
wait is this on PlayStation? or did u just connect your controller on your pc?
This is on pc yes, I play with a dualshock controller.
I like lance and GL. But I like lance more because of its sheer simplicity and the fact you face tank almost anything
Why does it feel like the fight is in slowmo?
It’s a lance speed run what did you expect lol
@@epsilon1372 You mean to tell me that you watched this masterpiece of a run and that's all that comes to mind? Hurr Durr Lance slow? Jesus.
