- Not my cleanest run on Special Scorned but my fastest so far. Different Buddy setup from usual.
It was important to have the Buddies use silkbinders plus mount at the right time to prolong the amount of time Scorned was in the afflicted mode so that more Quiro bubbles could be popped. These factors reduced the time by good 2-3 minutes.

I’ve been a little confused by the torci runs but I finally saw the math. 100% affinity without wex is kind of nuts. Plus sneak attack, that’s so interesting! I’ve been a goldian hater and I’ve been swapping between kamura and velkhana for normal gunlance. Will try this so my build up boost augments aren’t collecting dust. Idk what u say it’s a clean ass run to me 😊

Great run! As a fellow gunlancer, I’m intrigued by your usage of torchi GL. Why did you decide on that one over grathian GL or Primordial? Keep up the good stuff!
Hey, thanks! Torci GL because I was often hitting the back legs which are not weakspots so I wanted a way to achieve 100% affinity on non-weakspots. Torci has base 30% + CritEye Lv4 20% + Bloodlust 20% + MaxMight Lv3 30%.
Even though it has comparatively lower raw, it also had Lv8 shelling and purple sharpness by default (after slot upgrades). And can be used with Build up boost since it has blast.
How also can you blast dash when you don't have reloaded shell. There is a part that, when there is zero shells then you blast dash, one shell suddenly appear and it is reloaded but for some reason you didn't reload. That is quite confusing, can I get an answer Sir Gnar.
Hey, this should answer both of your comments. It's 'Reverse Blast Dash', a silkbind attack you unlock in the Sunbreak DLC. It gives you i-frames at the beginning of the attack to evade moves/knockback and reloads a shell if you do not have one loaded.
how’d you get your shells to do 81-97 mine typically 58-68 even after ground splitter/dang bombardier
i just saw the astalos video after this and having them hit 108 is crazy
The extra damage probably comes from Sneak Attack, since from what I could tell, the bigger numbers were coming from attacks that were behind the monster.

So yeah. I'll just list all the things that I used that determined the shelling damage. Can answer more if needed.
Normal Shelling Type Lv8, Artillery Lv3 (+30%) , Dango Bombardier Lv3 (+15%), Anti-Wyvern Rampage decoration (+5%), Sneak Attack Lv3 (+20% when behind midpoint)
Does switch skill swap just reload your gunlance normally or do you need a skill to do that?
It's the skill 'Heaven Sent'. It works at lv 1-3 and comes from the chest, arms and legs of Amatsu 👍
