My family went for long car rides when I was young and my Dad had a special tape just for such rides. This song and many others were enthusiastically sung loud and rewound over repeatedly. How I love my yellow submarine!
I agree I love the Beatles they are the best and I love band that live today and what I meant was I love one direction, 5seconds of summer, and the vamps is what I meant by bands that are alive today
We all live in a yellow submarine! We didn't like the colour so we changed it to green, green didn't suit us so we changed it to red, red isn't waterproof so now we are all dead! YEAH
I am 40 years old, and YES, I was a strange teen...I LOVED my mom's "old" Beattles albums, and listened to them almost daily. I love this song and I LOVED the Sargent Pepper Album!
I hate to harp on the new stuff these days, but The Doors, The Beatles, The Eagles, Aerosmith, Queen and many many more all had their own sound in the music. Nowadays hiphop, country, pop, rock, ect. just dont seem to have the diversity. Lots of monotone going around. I listen to everything from engines running to Beethoven to Little Wayne to Hank Williams 1 to Bob Marley . But there just doesnt seem to be the level of creative thinking going on for the instrumental aspect these days. There are some who stand out in their field, but most blend into the scenery.
Jacob White Yes I know music dosnt all sound the same but some of the more popular music sounds similar to each other. It might just be me but whatever, and yes I have listened to steven Wilson and I do like his music like the song drive home and time flys.
While copycats always existed, its not quite the same. It wasnt until things got digital in the late 80 and 90s that musicians became "artists". Katy Perry superbowl appearance. Way more smoke and mirrors than instrumental background. We as a people have stepped away from sound and stepped towards who rides a giant anamatronic lion.
Everything *popular* sounds the same. There is definitely crazy diversity in the underground music scene, you just have to know where to look for it all. :)
Chorus always reminded me of a pirate's drinking song or something, haha. I actually really like the song, Ringo moght not have the classically best or strongestvoice but it has a weird charm to it, I dunno
Happy 73rd Birthday ringo! My daughter loves this song and she sings it to me! I sung it when I was young! I love George Harrison you'll be missed and all u beatle boys! God Bless and be with you all.
Christopher Feng nope! it's lime green with purple stripes. and you'r thinking of the navy, they have grey submarines. the army don't use em, they get stuck on land.
mike galia Why where you in a submarine? why are you telling us? is it supposed to be secret? what did you do? how long where you in there? what was your goal being in one?
When this song came out I didn't know it was the Beatles! Fantastic, totally unexpected. It's like you order a doughnut and you get a compass. Fantastic!
It was first song by The Beatles I heard, I was five years old. And now I still love it. It's simply beautiful. I love plenty of Beatles songs and this one is one of my favorite. Sometimes I walk down the street and this song plays in my head, so I can't stand it and I have to sing :D. Some people stare at me strangely, but I don't care, I'm happy! :) (Maybe there're some mistakes, I doesn't speak English very well. I'm from Czech Republic and I'm still learning :) )
Me and my friends love this song! I'm actually glad that i got to know them since not everyone listen to this kind of music anymore... but this is just awesome!
My children are growing up listening to songs like these :) they hate modern day pop stars or any other computer made "music" they're 10 and 12. I'm a proud man.
whenever i listen to this song, i think of my dad. when i was little and we went out for sunday lunch, he would play the beatles over and over again, he only had one CD in the car! ;)
This song reminds me of how when I was in 3rd grade, after church on Sundays my sister and her friend went outside to this playground next door and listened to the Beatles on the friend's iPod. We almost always sung this song, for like 30 minutes at a time. Good times...
Although I am more to the Rolling Stones, the Beatles are really the best representation of modern music. But remember one thing, the English people, have used the beauty of 25 centuries to overcome the immense Italian music. For now you are in pole position, but remember, we'll make soon: D. ... Greetings from Italy to England! A salute to the Beatles!
The first time I heard this song was in in music class for kindergarten I believe... Hmm... 10 years flies by fast. I love The Beatles, they always cheer me up when I'm in a bad mood.
How can someone react what? to this in the reactions, its the most straightforward song ever, getting on a submarine, whith your buddies, and singing music, makes more sense than most stuff nowadays :D
@CatRevolver LOL when i was in kindergarden my class used to sing it during circle time It was the such a fun part if the day. I thank you for putting up such a great song up and reminding me of that part of my childhood ;P
i am an 11 year old, and i am telling you this NOT to impress you, becuase i know who they are, or becuase i know most all of their quotes, but to tell you that i know why these people are important and how they changed the world, in music and in thoughts. god bless the living beatles and the world thanks John and George, for making the beatles possible, and what they were and are, we miss you dearly
Everyone someone criticizes the Beatles, they take this song as an example. I like it... You this was supposed to be a nursery i think (obviously). i always liked it as a kid, even before i knew it was by the Beatles :)
Back in middle school it was a tradition that the drama kids would sing this at the top of their lungs backstage after every show, like so: 'We all live in a yellow submarine, (HEY!) a yellow submarine, (HEY!) a yellow submarine. (HEY!) We all live...' Ah, memories XD
Nothing strange about Ringo , he writes, has a happy family life as a grandfather, narrates and has done a number of recordings of children's stories , and when interviewed speaks a damn sight more down to earth common sense than most in media/show business . Yellow Submarine was quite a funny film but that's it - nothing epic. In the 60's to mid 70's Ringo was a far better than average drummer keeping The Beatles together in more ways than one.
I had to sing this back in primary school!!
omg i thought i was the only one!
Greek Gamerz Same here !!! xD :D
I have to sing this for choir.
90% of all kids, I'm 19 and I had to as well.
same
Why doesn't this song ever get old?! I've listened to it at least 100 the past 5 days xD
Me too ❤
One of many greatest songs of Beatles history...
:(
This comment is very confusing to me.
Larry Morales how XD
Mellody S cause it says Beatles "HISTORY"... XD kinda hilarious
My family went for long car rides when I was young and my Dad had a special tape just for such rides. This song and many others were enthusiastically sung loud and rewound over repeatedly. How I love my yellow submarine!
The Beatles are still the best band and always will be
I agree I love the Beatles they are the best and I love band that live today and what I meant was I love one direction, 5seconds of summer, and the vamps is what I meant by bands that are alive today
Well for me I believe that Queen is just as good as Beatles but I guess that is just my opinion.
hhallllujah or whatever heck i'am not jusish or whatever I don't wear those things on my head or whatever.........
A-Town 92501 actually no!! its the beatles > Led Zeppelin > Pink Floyd. even LZ admitted that without the beatles there wouldn't LZ
sobrados esos GENIOS
What I like about this song is that it's sounds like a song for kids, but it's even enjoyed by adults.
That's the genius of the Beatles. ;)
We all live in a yellow submarine!
We didn't like the colour so we changed it to green,
green didn't suit us so we changed it to red,
red isn't waterproof so now we are all dead! YEAH

I agree with you everything sounds the same now days.

You have to remember though that most of the copy cats from that time have been forgotten where as nowadays they haven't yet.
While copycats always existed, its not quite the same. It wasnt until things got digital in the late 80 and 90s that musicians became "artists".
Katy Perry superbowl appearance. Way more smoke and mirrors than instrumental background.

I was lucky to grow up with the Beatles as they became the greatest band ever; now, I'm an old man and still love their music.
Chorus always reminded me of a pirate's drinking song or something, haha. I actually really like the song, Ringo moght not have the classically best or strongestvoice but it has a weird charm to it, I dunno
That drinking song would probably be "Barnacle Bill The Sailor", by Hoagy Carmichael almost 40 years before Yellow Submarine.
❤BRAVO! 😊 Super grik vumen from Serbia
There must have been more fungus in the recording studio than in a forest...
Great song though!
nah mate. John was more of an acid guy...
Happy 73rd Birthday ringo! My daughter loves this song and she sings it to me! I sung it when I was young! I love George Harrison you'll be missed and all u beatle boys! God Bless and be with you all.
I live in a submarine, but it's not yellow it's green

Christopher Feng nope! it's lime green with purple stripes. and you'r thinking of the navy, they have grey submarines. the army don't use em, they get stuck on land.

mike galia Why where you in a submarine? why are you telling us? is it supposed to be secret? what did you do? how long where you in there? what was your goal being in one?
When this song came out I didn't know it was the Beatles! Fantastic, totally unexpected. It's like you order a doughnut and you get a compass. Fantastic!

JKM Sings it better. :D
Okay, that's your opinion
JK bro. :D
As a little kid, this was the only song I absolutely loved from the Beatles. XD
Now I love a lot of their music.
I like the Beattles, but this may be the worst song I have ever heard
The greatest bunch of musicians of the 18th, 19th, 20th and every other century afterwards. They literally did it all.
The Fabs hit #2 in Billboard, 9-17-66. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Have a great weekend! RIP, John & George.

i like this song...i could picture children listening to this
We used to sing this in assembly at infant school. That's how legendary The Beatles are - my christian school sang it during morning prayers.
The Beatles awake a sort of childish awe in me for all their songs, no matter how old I am.
Me and my friends love this song! I'm actually glad that i got to know them since not everyone listen to this kind of music anymore... but this is just awesome!
i remember my 3rd grade teacher made us sing Beatles songs. Hes the one that introduced me to the Beatles and im glad he did :)

Thank you, this has been added to our playlists here and on facs book, :)
This song reminds me of my dad, he will be missed :')
During school today, I walked all around the hallways singing and clapping "We all live in a yellow sumbarine". :)
brings back good memories! :)
This song changed my life
The most wounderful
I love the Beatles
Back in middle school it was a tradition that the drama kids would sing this at the top of their lungs backstage after every show, like so: 'We all live in a yellow submarine, (HEY!) a yellow submarine, (HEY!) a yellow submarine. (HEY!) We all live...' Ah, memories XD

this song is pretty cool, actually I think all their songs are cool! they are very good! =)
Nothing strange about Ringo , he writes, has a happy family life as a grandfather, narrates and has done a number of recordings of children's stories , and when interviewed speaks a damn sight more down to earth

it seems that this song is the gateway drug for the beatles, and it just keeps getting better
My little son Shabab likes this song very much and he dances with it.
@pr0ductionsxtreme i rarely comment on utube dude but that was one of the best ive seen.
Don't say that the Beatles are bad. Don't say anyone else is bad. Music is all a matter of opinion, and it is nothing to fight over.
This is my life's anthem :D
this song really cheers me up when i'm down, love it to death. my dad used to yell along to this song. lots of fun. =]
one of many great beatles songs
Number one on the day I was born :)
