"I'm all out of ideas boys......" - John

Ringo the kingo

The drum tone in this song are perfect. They sound so clear. Perfect studio work. That snare is straight fire. Kick too.

I've noticed it too that's why I like it
I definitely agree
I play a steel snare on one of my drum sets. The other snare I have doesn't sound good to me.
Agreed the snare sound is amazing that’s the first thing that stood out for me
Paul: Eleanor Rigby died in the church and was buried along with her name

John: A dreamer, but not the only one
George: Wants to see the Lord

Ringo: Also a PowerPuff Girl

I think the song is about the traveling bus, going to perform you're on the road a lot, it becomes a part of who you are. Especially if you are on LSD probably. Even having dreams about school buses, thats also a yellow submarine. But the yellow submarine is also a metaphor.
To me, this is very symbolic of a person's emotional state of mind.
Every one of us will and have experienced grief in our life (submerged in an ocean of grief)
but if we choose to find and hold joy within our heart (the yellow submarine)
then some day we too can ascend above the grief and be as one within the sun.

I see some people saying ringo was the weakest link of the Beatles song wise, but honestly I remember his the best

He was my favorite lol big crush back then
Because dont matter how big John and Paul was, Ringo always be the Starr
ringo can improvise even if he cant hear the strings sometimes bcoz of tue screaming fans
CC Lewis be realistic mate he is really good the people who say he isn’t good will be lying but I can understand when they say his the weakest not because he lacks the ability but because he was in extremely good company alongside George and obviously John and Paul who dominated singing and songwriting that’s why it made Ringo look weak but he certainly had the ability just couldn’t help that he was in that company
The Beatles began to sing when I was a baby, and I listened to them with my mother. It's like I was born with them, they are part of my life. I remember the first time I saw this animation on TV, back then it was unbelievably original (like everything else they did). Just throwing this out there for the person that inevitably makes the movie about the missing sub, but the credits should play this song and present the passengers of the sub by showing their shoes preserved at the bottom of the ocean. The credits would start by saying: "Starring - Stockton Rush", but it would just be showing his shoes.
Edit: This should not be done for the younger passenger. The young man had his whole life ahead of him and it's an absolute shame he perished. But in my honest opinion, this is the best Beatles song ever made

My 3 yo son is currently dancing to this song in case anyone doubts how timeless it really is
This was the song that my father introduced me to the Beatles with when I was 5, and to this day I agree.
Classics are timeless and your child's dance proves that.
It seems he's being raised properly and happilly.
All the best to him.
Peace and love from Brazil. ✌
I haven’t seen this movie yet.
My two year old just said "Mama I wanna dance to Beatles!" I did the same thing as a little girl with my mom. She's currently jumping on the bed going "yellow submarine yellow submarine" one of my proudest moments as a mother
I always loved watching this when I wasn’t younger. One of the few good memories of my childhood. I hope your son gets nostalgia from this like I do to this day at 16 years old 🥲
There’s something about this song that I find so deeply joyful and cathartic. It’s a simple, wholesome song, and it just makes me feel like a kid again.
Edit: Damn it Oceangate, you ruined one of my favorite songs.
Ever since that AirBnb commercial it’s just been stuck in my head and those visuals mean so much to this journey we’re on.
i love this movie

John and George are not dead, they live in the yellow submarine and wait for Paul and Ringo to join them 🥰❤️

Of all the songs Ringo sang, this will always be the one he is best known for.
Fun Fact: Ringo didn't actually write this song. It was Paul who wrote it, Ringo just sang it.
Edit: omg thanks for all the likes

Lennon-McCartney, remember?
I've been told lies
Well there Ringo's everyone's jokes
No actually Paul wrote it, it was just credited to both of them.
He only wrote the lyrics, the tune is an old dance number (The Military Two-Step") which was around for decades before the Beatles copied it.

Yellow Submarine is a kid's song we sang in music class in which we studied pop and classical music back in 1966.
In bed or-?
My first memory of The Beatles is this old cassette my grandma used to play in the car for me because I loved it so much. It was some kind of children's version of a bunch of Beatles songs, with kids discovering all these old Beatles records and then somehow going into the universe of The Beatles. It's one of my favorite memories.

Underrated comment!!!!!
I’ve seen a comment similar to this one. It’s an odd comparison because both Disney/Pixar and the fine people behind this music video are going for completely different feelings in their works. If you’re more drawn to this trippy “fantastic planet” art style then I can understand that, the whole trippy artstyle can be a lot more visually interesting, but I don’t see the use in claiming one is better than the other when they (generally) are complete opposites.

When I was little and watch the film with my mum happy memories and she was a proper the Beatles fan ❤
This went straight to the top of the hit parade in August 1966, when I was an 8-year-old schoolboy in Warwickshire. All the grey-uniformed boys and girls loved it, especially the chorus. During breaks, we marched around the playground in a big group, arm in arm, singing the chorus over and over and over again ... until the nasty headmistress, driven to breaking point by the endless shrill repeats, banned it outright. So we carried on singing it, first at a barely discernable whisper, then slowly but surely getting louder. We had the YELLOW fever; we couldn't stop!
That must have been the first time I felt the exhilaration of rebelling against adult authority ... thanks to the Fab Four!
Is that why they titled the album 'Revolver' -- because they knew they were fueling a revolution that would change society irrevocably?
Before The Beatles, post-war England seemed dull, drab monochrome; they burst onto the scene and made everything fun and brightly coloured! (This was also the year of the first colour TV broadcasts.)
Young people today can't even begin to imagine the enormous influence The Beatles had on the entire post-war generation and the love we all felt for them for being unique, brilliant, exciting, funny and FREE.
Thank you so much for this comment

I sang this song in my school choir
I used to ask my mom to play this on repeat on my way to preschool. Miss that💕
I have a very early memory of my aunt singing this with me on a train when I was about three. She passed thirty years ago so it is a poignant memory.
My six year old twins are learning it at school. And signing to it too. They keep asking me for it too.
Our bus driver let us bring our own music. He put a pretty good stereo system in. Fourth grade listened to Crazy Train everyday.
I would ask my mom to play Wake Me Up Before You Go Go every day to wake me up for school. At some point it wasn't fun anymore, but I still love the song dearly.
