@@im_caiman4479 I kept wondering why so many put their right front directly in the deepest hole, but I know the video never does justice and so I try not to judge too hard! 😎
@jeffreywilliamson4863 seems like there's an obstacle that we can't see well on that left side of the trail before the rut, which people were trying to avoid and then slid into the rut. Slick mud changes the best planned lines😅 😅😅😅
I've been down this trail numerous of times.. never thought I would see a jeep flip on pretty much the last portion of this trail... I've not been up this trail since early 2022.. looks like it's got rutted out pretty good..
Do you think maybe the increased traffic on the road and folks abusing it with unnecessary aggressively attacking "obstacles". Hopefully the popularity RUclips has brought these back roads doesn't lead to them being shut down.
@@hambone2111 I've been riding Hurricane Creek for 10 plus years and use to you never saw anyone up there. We'd take a small group and never met anyone on the trail, bet you can't do that today. It's been a couple years since I've been, got tired of the crowds and people that don't know how to drive off road. Everyone wants to be an "overlander".
This used to be a trail that only the locals really knew about, after Jeep invasion came through this trail it started gaining a lot of popularity and people as always started abusing it, something that used to be an easy trail is now a challenge.
USFS is going to be shutting this one down next. Homeowners are complaining and people are tearing up the trail. It's been there for 50 years, and since RUclips made this place popular, it has went to shit. The USFS has closed down Old House Gap road in Grandfather ranger district, beauty spot on unaka in the last two years, this week a popular overlanding trail was closed in north Georgia. This one is next. Mark my words. It has became an idiot magnet, just like tail of the dragon. Take these videos down, or you aren't going to have anywhere to go when they shut the all down, one by one.
It’s not that bad, a few spots that can be challenging for stock rigs. We had a stock Lexus on regular tires and a couple of lifted Subaru’s. The Jeep involved hit the gas hard and when it dipped into the hole it caused the rollover. If it is muddy it will be more fun and difficult. There’s is a lot of bears in the area. Have fun and tread lightly.
I really like the “Mon morning quarterback” behind the camera. Especially when he lies saying he has it on video. No you don’t! When the jeep went on its side, it was totally obscured by the green jeep coming out. You know, the one where you were so concerned about its hook swaying around. Geez. Give them a sec to get to a place to fix. I don’t know what experience this idiot has.
I hope everyone is okay. I think if that's my Jeep the first thing I'm going to do is put on some 2-in wheel spacers all the way around (assuming they'll fit with no issues. ). Apart from that it might be time to reevaluate the suspension set up.
The mud will slide you into the ruts if you're on the high spots between the ruts. The line choice I personally would have taken from what I can see in the video is the ruts on the uphill side of the road rather than the deep rut in the middle. What can't be seen in the video is what the Gladiator hit their diff on, and the F250 smacked their bumper on that left side of the trail headed uphill. It seems that's the delimma drivers were facing as they chose their line. It seems like a few tried to skirt the obstacle trail left and then get into those ruts on that side of the trail, and really none of them were able to be very successful with the exception of that first little jeep. I'm not sure how the CJ flopped 🤷♂️. I'm guessing it might be some vehicle suspension limitations despite its ground clearance and driver error.
All that Time Taping it all... AND
He MISSED the Flop on the Side...
LoL 😂
While basically filming the ground… 😂
I just did this trail May 3, 2024. If you roll your rig over on this trail just stay on I-40 and keep going😂
Looks to me like y'all got enough people to push it back over!!??
Fr!😂
That's what a true mtn country red neck would do ..... These are civilized mtn folk , over thinking the shit 🤣
That’s what I’m screaming. Me and my buddy have rolled them back over plenty of times with just the two of us. But we’re big boys. 6,2 and 300 pounds
That’s why “crawling” is important
Yeah I think with the 30 plus men there they could have flipped it by hand easier.
Some of these people never rode 4 wheelers and it shows
PS.
All them People...
And they spend Forever..
Setting it up..
JUST PUSH IT BACK OVER!!!
What a cluster!
Should have left the rock there. 👍 Glad everyone was ok, and thanks for sharing.
Anybody else spend 9 tense minutes waiting for the first jeep to flip?
fast forward :)
The amount of 4x4 traffic on this trail is crazy
I only met 1 SXS the duration of the trail
@@MartindaleTV1970 So the 200 videos I've seen posting this trail location and seeing groups of 20-30 vehicles on it don't count?
that lexus embarrased those jeeps
15:23 that lexus chose the correct line and cell provider.

Three Marines could have rolled that Jeep upright.
Tray mountain Rd 🤔 is coming to hurricane
All those people couldn't flip it back over
Completely missed the money shot.. darn
All this video does is prove the rollover flaw the CJ had and why we have YJ's
I wish there was actual video of the incident.
Look like state workers
jeeps have evolved! I now know why i sold my cj...anyone in this video have lockers? they work really well
I wouldn’t call that a roll over, more like “Jeep leans over in its side”. 😂😂
how'd that even happen? Wheeling too fast?
Don't think I've ever heard the words "pulley system" during a recovery, lol

Damn that poor jeep.. hey that lady you're talking to during the Jeep flip sounds like me a little bit LOL

The internet has ruined many a trail, fishing hole and deer hunting area.
Big man needs to chill on that running. Also so many people who know everything about nothing.
Hold my beer!
This trail has been torn all to hell. It should be closed to traffic.
All that traffic and no one knew how to winch them over,as long as they stood there they could have pushed him over

Everyone freaking out about a rollover or flip, neither, it tipped onto it's side.

Now they need to be fined for getting fuel in the eco-system
Cybertruck wouldn’t have rolled over.
