LARGE INDUSTRIAL FIRE! - 18 Pumps + 2 ALP's, ICU, Hose Layer's On Scene!

18 fire engines and over 100 firefighters from across Hampshire tackled a fire in multiple industrial units in Southampton.
3 of the 5 units have been destroyed by the fire with which 2 have collapsed.
HIWFRS Incident Commander John Amos said:
“We’ve got more than 100 personnel onsite working extremely hard to tackle a well-developed fire near to St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton.
“We have been working closely with our partner agencies and Southampton Football Club throughout this incident, with tonight’s scheduled match postponed.
We expect to have a presence on the scene overnight and into tomorrow. We ask that the public avoid the area due to a number of road closures in place, and that local residents keep windows and doors closed because of the large smoke plume.”
The cause of the Fire is currently under investigation. However crews still remain on scene to deal with the final hot spots (08/03/24).
1 person was treated at the scene with smoke inhalation. Many roads were closed due to the incident and homes were evacuated whilst some being told to keep windows and doors shut.

I’m wondering why they were using water tankers when I saw a hydrant in use early in the video. Inadequate water supply in the mains?

That hose ramp looks to restrict the flow a lot. You think it be made better as that's use when need the maximum water you can get.

I know semi rural brigades run their pumps on longer but an 03 is getting a bit long in the tooth. A relief pump perhaps from the reserve fleet ?
