I've been procrastinating the whole week and now i will probably have to stay up and get pilot tails and his plane
Sonic Generations and Sonic Forces does NOT actually feature Classic Sonic, the so called "Classic Sonic" is actually a hedgehog called "Santiago". Santiago is a (notably very assholish) CYAN hedgehog who is pretending to be Sonic. He was always jealous of Sonic's fame, so he kidnapped him and replaced him. The reason he doesn't talk is so that he does not reveal his voice (he can only speak Scandinavian), his friends still haven't figured out that he isn't the real Sonic.
Update: it appears i have left out a ton of information regarding the monster. Santiago is said to have associates named Carlos, Knox, Martinez, Dante, and Panchow, these being imposters of Classic Tails, Modern Knuckles, Mighty, Ray, and Modern Shadow respectively. On May 19th, 2021, the real Classic Sonic was found stranded on Blue Spheres Special Stage 1, and on May 21st, 2021, Santiago was defeated by Classic Sonic. Santiago is still around, as Modern Sonic has reportedly caught on to Santiago's bullshit as of August 7th, 2022, stating "Beware the Santiago". Hopefully SEGA will take notice and fire him and his associates, and find the real deals.
