Lucky you to receive such a great donation and who else could use it all so beautifully!! I absolutely love the eggshell mosaic, the colors and the landscape combined make it so serene! Your videos provide such treasures and are the highlight of Monday mornings 😍 thank you!
How wonderful to receive a donation like that!! Wow! Another great video! The eggshell mosaic is stunning. Thanks for sharing how to do the hanging apparatus. I definitely need help on that part. Thanks so much for sharing your wisdom with us!
The mosaics look great and your egg shell one came up brilliantly. I agree with you the acrylic substrate that Skeew sells shouldn’t have any flex in it for a mosaic. 😊
Absolutely Stunning! Thank you so for sharing your amazing talents! I'm brand new to Mosaic art and was wondering where I could purchase the "clearback" hangable hearts? And by chance can those be used outdoors? Thank you again! 🥰
Hi Julie! Just stumbled across your channel and started watching your vids from the oldest first. I'm loving your work and have learned a lot. My question is about working on the uneven surface of the rock. Does using silicone help to level things out? Thanks.
Welcome aboard! Silicone has too much flex to be used as a filler. It would be better to level the rock with thinset prior to adding any mosaic. If there is an occasional ridge that make a piece of glass wobble, I cut the glass to avoid that.
As always, beautiful pieces of art! I struggle with deciding about adhesives. Can you explain why you used E6000 and silicone on the memorial? Thank you so much!
I used E6000 for the ball chain on the edge because it is waterproof and it shrinks down when it cures so the ball chain is easy to grout. Then I used silicone on the rest of the rock because it is also waterproof, but easier to use than thinset and not as smelly and toxic as E6000.
@@mazzonimosaics8222 Thank you for sharing your reasoning. Makes perfect sense. I learn something from you in every video! And that memorial turned out beautifully!
Love the video. Is your pet memorial on the rock made for outdoor use? Glueing glass down instead of using thinset is ok? I’ve never used glue before so thought I’d try it. Also do you seal rock with anything prior to gluing? Thanks 😊
Ohhhh..How I would have loved to receive a box of glass at my doorstep..so nice! Gorgeous projects like always. The eggshell scene is stunning!❤️
I know, right?!? I haven’t even gone through all of it yet! Thanks for watching!

Thank you so much! You are too kind!
Hi again just found the answer to my grout question. You did state you used sanded grout! ❤️
Beautiful mosaics as always.
Thank you!
The mandala is amazing. Thank you
Thanks!
Long overdue Biscuit memorial! Nice.
I think so too!
How sweet you used your own Biscuit memorial for this new Biscuit memorial!
Right? Biscuit was such a friendly dog. He put up with all the things kids do.

I tips me hat to you, I get no time at all in class to mosaic anything, today, for example, in my three hour class, I didn't even get a cup of tea! 🙃
Three hours can fly by in class!

I might try to frame it to make it more stable. I’m going to try using car trim to edge it. Got the idea from one of my students and haven’t tried it.
Hello. I’m curious how you will hang the dollar store glass mandala. All your art is inspiring and beautiful.
Good question! I'm not hanging it. I'm using it as a ring dish.

Thank you so much! I think the heart came from skeew.biz/collections/clearbacker-classics although I don't think she carries the hearts anymore!
Too tired to say anything except 😍😍😍😍
Lol.
I am about to do a memorial rock as well. I have read that you need to seal the rock. Did you? Beautiful work as always!!
I did not seal it. I cleaned it off with water and a scratch pad.
Awesome. Thanks so much. Love your videos, are an inspiration, your work is beautiful.
Thank you!

Could you put the glue on the substrate first and then put the pieces down
Yes. It is a matter of preference. When I use thinset I put a bed of it down and stick my pieces in it.

cool stuff!, just how much silicone do you apply to each piece? I don't see anything oozing out, so I guess it is a very small amount?
I aim for a thin layer of complete coverage. When it oozes out it gets messy pretty quickly.

I cleaned the rock but did not seal it. The adhesive is waterproof- GE II Silicone. Thinset would also work.
💕
Hello, on the memorial are you using sanded grout or unsanded?
Sanded.
Quick question... do you seal the rock before you start? If so what do you use?
I wash and seal it with stone & grout sealant to prevent efflorescence.
Thank you! I love your craft!
