  • Today I will show you how to make Beef and Onion Pasties.

    You will need:
    Pastry:
    200g Plain Flour
    130g Butter
    1 Egg
    1 tbsp Water (approx)
    Filling:
    250g Minced Beef
    3 Garlic Cloves
    2 Onions
    25g Butter
    2tbsp Flour
    200ml Beef Stock
    1tbsp Oil
    1 Egg

    Congratulations on being the first person I have ever heard to say steam instead of air regarding the ventilation holes. Recipe looks good too.

      It made 2 pasties 😊 they are rather large pasties and would feed 2 people each as a dinner with veggies 😊

    Salted or unsalted butter for the pastry?

      Good question 😊 you can use either. I personally prefer to use unsalted but it can add to the taste using salted 😊 hope this helps

      If you regularly use salt in your cooking then use salted butter, if not then don’t. I don’t add salt to anything unless I’m cooking for people who use it. For this recipe and most people I would say use salted butter. Cheers

    Yet another video where at the end/final product …. When it’s finished… you neglect to cut into/cut open/display the innards …. Another epic fail. 1/10. I think Most everybody wants to see inside. How do not recognize this ?. ……
