Thank you for sharing cleary and exellent information. I saw other channels but cant get any useful from there i am excited about this project so amazing
Awesome video. As a civil Engineer, this was quite fascinating. The sector is generally slow to take on tech advancements but this posses insteresting solutions and questions about where the construction industry can go. Really appreciate this one Caleb. I love entertainment and ease of life tech but this brought CES to a meaninful level. Certainly would love to see more in coming years.
I really think this is one of the Most innovative things I have seen as far as AI tech goes to be able to get a lay of the land would probably reduce the chances of hitting electrical lines that are underground gas lines that are underground and sewage pipe that is underground. So in my opinion it is pure genius thank you Caleb for hunting this down and allowing everybody to see the future
I mean this is amazing. Imagine a Ais learning the most efficient effective path ways on the construction sites being able to work 24/7 with 0 death rates. All the vechiles can recognize each other drive around each other in dangerous sites not safe for humans. The list goes on and on!! This will revolutionize the construction sites and mining sites all around the world
This is precisely the type of thing that gets me excited for the future. So often we are overwhelmed with negativity through news and politics. I hope that more people and companies focus on positive technological developments that will make life better for everyone.
Is this how they'll build NEOM in Saudi Arabia? Of course they can't upgrade immediately but for long term maintence and low impact energy being gathered onsite it seems almost too perfect for that project. This sure would eliminate a great number of obstacles they will inevitably encounter in getting it finished, I believe they;ve already started to rethink the transport system for example.
I agree with you Caleb about what CES generally promises. I love the idea of seeing new tech emerge and wonder how it will be used. Having said that, I hope they figure out more efficient ways to transport energy that doesn’t rely on 70 year upgraded versions of equipment such as trucks and other vehicles to deliver it. We should be developing self-sustaining energy systems where capture like this isn’t needed. But it is very cool to see this wild sort of demo at an event known mostly for its TV releases.
Certainly very interesting for the future of infrastructure. However, I get a little nervous when you use the phrase, "our drone friend". I, for one, welcome our new Excavator overlords!
There already is computer run excavaters etc. I was at my college 8 years ago and they were building a new student life center and they told me no one was in the construction equipment and it was runninf by itself with multiple vehicles
WOW !!! This is so Advanced that, Hyundai's Advance build construction sites technologies could be use to build in other Planets with out any Human beings on the Planet. This is Totally Insane ! It like watching the Futuristic movies" Avatar " . This Advance technology could be happening right now ! I wonder went is this technology is going to happen? Let hope no one going to loose their Jobs on Earth. We all got to feed our Family. Love watching all your futuristic shows on CES ! 😃💖⚡️🪐🌚🚜🚛⚡️💖 🛠💯👍 😉💖🪐🌚🌏✌️
LMAO now construction jobs are gonna be the easiest jobs you can get sitting in an air conditioned room remotely controlling a excavator while your eating a sandwich and leaning back in a big chair
Agreed. Will the profits from this tech be used to help those who WILL lose jobs? Yeah, right... Not all are that young anymore and many chose certain jobs for a reason.
Not to poo poo on praise train here but considering I’m probably one of the few commenters that has experience in the construction industry, and considering I’m an electrician. I don’t care how many sensors and do dads on that equipment. There is no replacement for an operator that knows his equipment. Once they get a feel for the equipment they can push the machinery to do things that most people would think is possible maybe even dangerous. But they have balls of steel and know what there doing. Have you ever seen someone load a skid loader in a mini dump truck? They won’t teach ai that, that will require special equipment more money more logistical nightmares.
All interesting to say the least. My first main question is, what kind of safeguards are in place to prevent some maniac from hacking into a vehicle and causing a nightmarish scenario?
LoL: The more CES videos I watch showcasing the amazing, innovative companies in attendance, more dumb I feel.😅 However, I enjoy the vids nonetheless.😁
This isn't the future of our planet. This is the start of building on the moon. So my question is what do the higher level of world leaders know and When is armageddon going to happen?
Hopefully none of the automobile engineers were involved with these designs! Otherwise you can look forward to: peeling paint, quirky electrical system, surprise immolation, burn thru on the cylinder wall followed by total engine failure & there will be a paid app solution in here somewhere, but it won't work after the first two years. 🍋🍋🍋
Post-apocalyptic future brought on by this technology. The robots are building housing for humans automatically with no input from their corporate humans! Duh dun duh dun duh dun. 😆
It never “had to” exist in the first place. People are taking their children with them and sneaking into sites to do artisanal mining so they can grab a valuable product and sell for their own benefit. Go convince the Central African governments to do better by their people.
You are funny. Where did you read that? It's about making money for the few oligarchs that run the show. If this tech will save 1 cent over hiring people, for sure that will be the future
@@Harrythehun lol... ok... whatever you say. If you are replaced by machines, where do you get this money to buy that land? Factories are converting to robotics, and even fast food outlets are even starting to replace employees with machines. If we want a society where machines do all the work for us, and we get a liveable wage for doing nothing... fine. But that's not what's going on. Doesn't matter if you live in the city or the boonies... if you want to be a part of society, you need to work. Unless you want to be isolated, with no internet, no tv or radio, and only live off the land. Personally, I love pizza. You can't grow that yourself.
The point of capitalism is to provide the world with the highest standard of living possible, which it has done - as opposed to socialism which has murdered 100-million people in the last 100-years and caused massed poverty and unproductivity. With that said, this could be the ultimate end of capitalism, in that it's reached its goal, and something new comes from it. We shall see, but it's going to happen regardless.
All fun and games till this 10 million dollar plastic hunk of junk can’t lift a single bucket full of material. Absolutely trash and sure hope they go back to the drawing board.
Great video, this is awesome tech but very scary at the same right. Programs unfortunately are created by people and if they miss something bad things will happen. How is Hyundai going to reduce carbon emissions by electrifying everything not to mention batteries don't even come close to run time and sustained power output as a proper fossil fueled vehicle!!!!!!! Electric sucks IMO.
Batteries will continue to get better but fossil fuels are a dead end. You try being on a site all day with the combustion exhaust and engine noise and see how quick you clamor for a clean quiet battery. Batteries and machinery will be made in factories powered by renewables like wind, solar, and hydro power.
What is the difference between a Yugo, ands a new hyundai, Yugo is better. Try to buy any part of one of hyndys, and loose your mind. A whole paycheck, for a break caliper. Machines don't make cars, people do.
The fact you can't even brake or Hyundai correctly says a lot about your 'paycheck'. Maybe try working more than 6 hours a week and it won't consume all your money - not that it matters since you still clearly live at home with mommy and daddy.
Please note the correct spelling for HD Hyundai's XiteSolution CEO is Young Cheul Cho
I don't know him, doesn't matter what the spelling was. cheul cho or cheul cheo also can.
Bad too the
@shasanmaz

I Saw it at CES. It was incredible

What an awesome video Caleb and access. Love this and congrats on the interview, you killed it!
Holly molly this is sci-fi movie stuff that we are going to see in our life time. And now it is absolutely credible.
Caleb doing the construction tech beat for DT, it's great!
I mean this is amazing.

Wow! This was way more interesting than I thought it would be! I had no idea what this kind of tech could do. Great job, Caleb!
Telecommute construction jobs... incredible!
Wow! That so cool to think how that would change the world. Thanks for showing that!
Hyundai makes one of the best tanks
Wow this sort of kit has so many opportunities to solve problems now and in the future. Could this stuff be used on the moon for instance.
The labor unions are going to freak out over this stuff!
That was my first thought! This equipment would be incredibly useful in space colonization.
These would be perfect for building a city on Mars.

Now that's cool!

How remarkable!
*Are these Skynet robots?*
So this is how the terminator Hunter killers start
It is good in cold weather??
Thank you 🙏🏾
A lot of TV's and other stuff but not heard much on the Audio side, any soundbars or surround systems there?
There already is computer run excavaters etc. I was at my college 8 years ago and they were building a new student life center and they told me no one was in the construction equipment and it was runninf by itself with multiple vehicles
Yeah. There's a number of companies that's working on autonomous mining vehicles. But none of them are nearly as sleek.
You were controlling a loader not an excavator lol
Uff que ganas de saber de esa maquina
Please test out in Himalayan terrain.

I can see this being used on the moon and mars to build bases.

Horizon Zero Dawn incoming...
You start with some automated builders, next thing you know... Pum Project Zero Dawn.
Well technically next are the automated war machines and how to power them on mass, then it's the swarm@@MarioRobles93
For better or worse, all of these automated technologies will be weaponized, as Pentagon funding tends to get things done quickly.

Can all that go to Mars I would be like damn 😮
Scary in terms of jobs

See; horseless carriage.
The hydrogen hype is stupid but everything else here is legit.
The "promise" is exciting, but we still don't tighten down door bolts in our airliners, so....
8:18 Is Mr. Cho reading the answer? Maybe Hyundai should develop a real time Korean to English translator.
This is how Horizon Zero Dawn starts
Ok this stuff looks like it work good on the moon, I don’t know how the drones would fly over the moon but maybe they could figure something out
Probably by scanning the area from the moon orbit with a satellite.
wow

True but on operator is running 24/7

Ruining of the earth:Completed! Truly dystopian

You must construct additional pylons!

Sooooo.... Hyundai is copying Pixar. This is everything that you see in the movie WALL-E! 😉
Pandora

In reality though, there are pirates in Yemen and places like that who will simply steal all this stuff. It's already a lost world as-is
Oh there gonna need maintenance alright lol
Great, can we end cobalt mining slavery now?
