So this was a blind buy for me and my first Black Opium purchase. It was on sale at Macy’s. I decided to search videos to hear some reviews and yours is my first video. I can’t wait to smell it. I think it arrives tomorrow. 💚 I hope I like it. If I remember correctly I don’t think I was a fan of the original.
I have loved Black Opium since it first came out! I've been wearing it for so long i kind of got burned out on the original, so i didn't repurchase the full bottle again, but i own 2 full bottles of Nuit Blanche which is my favorite flanker! Its Discontinued tho..i also wore Floral Shock for many years, its a bright citrus and fruity floral flanker, i currently have 2 bottles of Neon, and 1 bottle of Extreme and Illicit Green. The only one i don't like is Intense because of the Absinthe liquor note. Overall i love the entire line...but not as much as i love the Entire Armani Si line. The Illicit green has a fresh opening because of the green mandarin, and then the fig provides the creamy fruitness, and then the florals add a nice roundness like you said. I love it! But nuit blanche has a creamy rice note and a Caramel note, that makes it the best one! But overall they are very similar

Black Opium Extreme was my SOTD today layered with Target Mix Bar Vanilla Bourbon. Ahhh (chefs kiss) 🥰🥰🥰 No other Black Opium compares to me. The Extreme is the superior flanker lol And I love your makeup as usual ☺️😍❤️

I like the Illicit Green because the OG gives me a headache. I have a big Nuit Blanche too.
Loved your review! I’m not a Black Opium fan and passed sniffing this at Sephora. I was scared of getting nauseous and ruining my shopping trip. I now think I should at least smell it since I do like fresher things. Dipping my toe slowly into gourmand. Thanks!
It’s very similar to the original and I don’t think it will make you nauseas at all 🥰 I just wish they would’ve added a little more fig to really make it stand out from the others. 😩
I know I'm crazy, but I blind bought a full bottle of Illicit Green just because of the fig notes (fig leaf, fig) alone. I didn't watch any reviews, because I just wanted to make up my own mind. I must say that the jury is still out on this one...lol. I'm going to keep playing around with it and see how that goes. I get a lot of fresh greenness in my nose and that's okay, because I love green notes (don't like Florabotanica). It's not easy for me to pick up the fig either, so I totally concur on that. I was hoping it would be more pronounced and syrupy as it is in Angel Eau Croisiere. Maybe I'll even try mixing them together. I also want to try other fig fragrances as well like EA's Green Tea Fig and Lancome's Figues and Agrumes. With all that being said, time will tell on whether or not I decide to keep it in my collection.

If I spend $30, I’d rather drop another $30 for a full bottle. I really like the green because it’s not as sweet but it still smells pleasantly good.
I can't stand the opening of the original black opium but I love the dry down. I am so excited that the opening is different in this one but the dry down is the same as the original black opium.

I’m on the fence for this. I was excited about the fig note but if it’s not noticeable I don’t know. I love the original and the Extreme. I’ll have to go get a sniff. Trying not to blind buy as much. Thanks as always for your video!
Now that it’s nearing fall, I really want some type of Black Opium (I don’t own any). I DON’T like the extreme. I’m deciding between the original or the Illicit. I may go for the Illicit in case they discontinue it. Thanks so much for the review 😊

This was a blind purchase for me, wish I had gone with a travel size instead. The initial scent is lovely, but completely disappears within 10 mins, leaving just the heavy-handed headache-inducing basenotes.
i was super excited to test that one that I went to the mall a couple of days ago.... we still don´t have it here though... i don´t have Black Opium, but if I do want to own one, I´d Get Neon or maybe that one.. something I know I can wear all year...
It has a really pretty fresh opening compared to the original and I find it a bit smoother. If you don’t own black opium then you might find this one very nice 🥰
I’ll sniff test when it shows up in Ulta…but I have several flankers so probably don’t need this!
