I used a small in dash kicker amp that powered my 2 sets of 6.5 inch midrange that little amp stayed in my dash behind the head unit on alpine type r 6.5 inch only thing that happened I started having a floating ground making alternator whine I had to wrap a ground wire around the outside jacket of the RCA sets also I made a ground wire go from the radio case to the amp case and the floating ground stopped. I love what ur talking about Nolan I'm glad I got a guy on RUclips that's been there done that . And not some influencer getting a free amp or whatever product and swearing it's the best thing since sliced bread.

Nolan u remind me of the car audio scene in the mid to late 90s I don't know why but I was around alot of guys doing big stuff with kicker and JL Audio u remind me of the older dudes that taught me what I know about audio I've been all around the country doing installs u remind me of alot of the guys that really knew their stuff . Side note my scion tc I did touch 150.3 DB with 2 12s I can't wait to see what ur build turns out to be .
@@deasnutz9965 the 2300 is my favorite of that series I had 2 pristine brand new in the box models I traded some boosters some oxy 40s for those mtx 2300 I had back in early 2000s I kept those amps for years and ended up going to jail and losing those amps plus a ton of others in a storage unit. That was a tough run for me glad I been straitened out for many years now.
@deasnutz9965 very lucky!! I'm glad it was under warranty..Mines 20 years old 240 thousand miles and thank god no major failures yet!! Still runs and sounds great!! But I have definitely herd alot of horror stories with engine failures
I have a set of hifonics 4” 2 way coaxial specs are 90hz to 20khz 60rms What should I set my amplifier hi pass or full range amplifier is a old school crossfire cfa404s thanks

I love mtx amps I have had some crazy impressive set ups also older Rockford amps.
I miss those old 2300 square mtx thunder amps. Its also one of Jerry's favorite amps of all time. We think a lot alike.

I had to get a new engine last month. Crankshaft bearings were causing a bad knock. Got a new motor. Glad I had an extended warranty
