Politely if you want to catch and release, do the videos for other well known systems. Smaller systems please don't publicize, else heaps of crowds starts coming.
It sounds like a battle of strength between whoever tires first. Intrigued by the small bear we saw. Don't bears have priority and anglers should give way or is that just a rule in certain states of the US? I wouldn't be inclined to throw stones at one, they might have a few big brothers or parents that might take a decidedly poor view of that. You guys have probably just eaten a full English breakfast whereas they have to work a bit harder for a meal. Excellent video, Keep them coming.
@@pamelasroththat’s why you don’t fish stagnant pools with stacked fish? Give your fucking head a shake. This and posting the system name? Must be from the mainland. Make like one and fuck off.
Then if there are so many why can’t you legal catch in the mouth? Not good enough? Hahah I would not be posting snagging fish and getting clout hahah get bent rook
You need to learn how to use a spinning rod. Don't reel and reel when under pressure from the salmon or you spin twist the line that will cause the line twist on the rod tip and down to the reel becoming a problem until to pull all the line off the reel and put swivels in the line where you hook the line to something and reel the line back on the reel holding the line between your fingers ahead of the reel causing the line to spin against the swivel. You need to pull up and reel on the down stroke and of you want the salmon to go right lay the rod to the right and pull with the rod to the side and if you want the salmon to go left again lay the rod over and pull to the left, Salmon & Steelhead are easy steered where you want them to go . Holding the rod up as you did the salmon wants to fight against that because you are pulling the fish up and they don't like that, so they fight harder, and it cause so many fish to be lost pulling the hook out. I am now 65 years old with my fishing & Hunting guide services started in the Pacific NW in 1978 and I worked in Alaska for from 1989 to coming of covid that wrecked all my tourism services.

Mantap
They’re sure harder to reel in when they’re not mouthhooked….
Yep. It sucks hooking them, but it's hard to avoid that when there's so many of them stacked together in a pool.
@@pamelasroth Indeed!

Thanks for your advice! I will consider it next time I hook a giant salmon.
