Instead of taking the pulley off the engine, I loosened the 2 motor mount bolts, that hold the belt guard, enough to drop the belt off the pulley. Then take the belt off the transmission and you can snake it down around the engine pulleys.
@@LazyGrandpasGaragequestion sir, so I changed the belt, everything is put back together, so before I changed it the belt was super stretched out and it wasn’t shifting into gear or moving, now the new belt is on and it’s shifting but won’t move what could that be?
Great job and show how as good as it gets Thankyou
FYI... I believe if you engage your parking brake first, you will take the tension off of the drive belt.
Thank you I didn't know how it came around the steering shaft
You're very welcome, have a enjoyable day.
Can you please tell me the size belt for transmission drive belt..LA145 ?
P⁰pI
D105 is about the same, except there is a guard on the transmission pulley that must be removed. An 8 mm socket will work for it.
Thank you for that advice

Taking the pulley off is preferred method
Thanks!

Very informative thank you! What size belt does a John Deere l100 take?
The transmission drive belt is 1/2” x 89”
How did the bearings in the pulleys look?
That was a couple years ago so I don't remember off hand.

OMG taking so much tuff off to change the belt. Hurts to watch. I've changed many many drive belts and never taken so much apart...
