As clever and smart as Aizen was, he really put all his beliefs on an orthodox device, which he should have realized the hogyoku would have some kind of drawback for something to had made him as powerful as what he had become. Still, aside loneliness I thought he wanted to change the world from the messed up state it is in. A king or god that would change whatever broken system it has. If he wasn't fully invested in that device I think maybe he could have found other ways to had at least tried other ways to have changed the status quo. The guy made an elite army from hollows, had a mad believer like momo whom I'm a bit surprised he didn't end up using her as an experiment too, but oh well. Like he had the smoothness to had made others follow him. Kind of a shame he does end up backstabbing his own arrancar. I feel like his involvement in Hueco Mundo brought hollows with a cycle of just animals eating one another for power to a completely different ecology. Like before his involvement , I doubt anyone thought of hollows as anything but beings who just devour human/shinigami/quincy souls. I really wanted Kubo to had expanded Hueco Mundo more. I forget who was those few hollows who actually helped Ichigo and his friends back in Hueco mundo, but some of them had some funny personalities.
Thank you For the great content and the independent time. That it took you to research this and share it with us much success to you in your channel God-bless.
Actually this hogiyoku recognising and not recognising Aizen as his master is not really true (imo). Because as Aizen stated hogiyoku manifests deepest desires (if you have potential) so by that it was aizen's desire to subjugated hogiyoku which hogiyoku manifested and fused with aizen's chest and in the end it was aizen's desire to lose power which was manifested by hogiyoku which made him lose power. So saying that it recognises & not recognises aizen as his master is not accurate. Also you didn't mention that when gin tried to kill Aizen, Aizen's desire to live was so great that hogiyoku which manifests deepest desires manifested that desire by making Aizen immortal. Which can be seen from the from Aizen takes. Butterfly represents immortality.
Aizen did not lose mastery of the hogyoku, he fully merged it with his soul and now he's an immortal cross between shinigami and hollow, even when he lost to ichigo it was due to his own doubt and sadness, ichigo could sense this. and with that we now know aizen was never truly evil but misunderstood.
And after everything we learn from the TYBW and the novels after it and the Hell arc we come to understand more about the SS and it's original sin and how the world operates, we start understanding what Aizen tried to do he wanted to change reality for the better in his own vision. He could be considered the Anti-Hero or misunderstood villain.
@Harun he lost because deep down that's what he wanted and the Hogyoku noticed it and made it happen, this didn't however remove the hogyoku nor the previous buffs he got as proof we saw him come back from one very powerful attack the final mugetsu.
@@greengarnish1711 Yes, but a villain 100%. We can't forget his action just because his goal was noble. Case in point: Aizen made it so the captains would pierce Hinamori.
@@optidalfprime3904 Still how come she didn't die from that, 2 times i might add. Remember Aizen is someone who plans ahead so he knew who would or wouldn't die during his fights we see this when he fights the Captains and only embarasses them throughout the whole fight, if he really wanted to he could kill them but that's not what he had in mind.
@@greengarnish1711 I don't think that Aizen wanted to lose or that he lost. What I think is that the seals that urahara planted in Aizen were activated when he was in a weak state because of receiving ichigo's strongest attack.
The Soul King is basically the pseudo-corpse of a god that allowed weaker beings (Shinigami) to use its power to sustain a stable reality. The Soul King put up no resistance and allowed itself to be dissected. Its parts and pieces existed separately, having wills of their own, and some attached themselves to other living things. That an omnipotent immortal without equal allowed this to happen would have been inconceivable to Aizen, who truly believed the strong should rule the weak. And he, thinking himself on a level above all other beings, believed he should have been able to take that seat. Aizen couldn't allow a weak, passive god to rule over him. The expanded universe explains Aizen fed the Hogyoku with small, scattered pieces of the Soul King which gave Fullbringers their power. If he had made it to the Soul King's palace, and defeated the Zero Squad, he likely would have "fed" the Soul King itself to the Hogyoku, allowing him to essentially take its place as linchpin of reality, and basically become god.
There’s one addition I’d like to make. I think aizen also said that hogyoku manifests one’s desires, but only if the recipient had the strength to do it. Or something along those lines, I need to rewatch it before the TYBW premiere. It might’ve meant that if their desire was strong enough, it would grant the recipient their hearts desire.
Damn, so Ichigo is actually a perfect Hogyoku by merit that he's a perfect fusion of human, shinigami, hollow, and quincy (plus fullbringer). No wonder he can sense the hearts of his opponents when they fight and has a knack for changing destiny.
Nice video probably the simpilist one to understand on the hogyoku I've seen Maybe u can do a wat if situation on the hogyoku like bleach brave souls with the different factions thoughts?
Literally my first exposure to the Hogyoku was when, not super far into Bleach, in the manga I saw Squad 10 (Hitsugaya and assistant captain) look goofilly toward their Soul Society manufactured teevee screen whilst Yamamoto told them about the chaos emeralds, I mean hogyoku...
I'm surprised no one mentions that the Hougyoku is really the Philosopher's Stone of Bleach. Well, that's my mnemonic anyway. I'm digging this explanation though. Good work.
Can you explain what are Gods? The race I mean, like the soul king and mimihagi, not the shinigami(gods of death). What does it mean to be a transcendent being? In Buddhism the gods(devas) are found above the demigods(asuras). Is the royal realm the deva real and the rest of soul society the ashura realm? Are the royal guards gods? I'm guessing the God the Quincy they always refer to is the soul king since in cfyow it says he is the very source of the Quincy power. Sorry I don't know much about buddhism😔
Read the side story I forgot the name, it tells about everything before the worlds of bleach was created. You might not find the answer as to who or what is the true god of creation but you'll definitely know more about how everything in bleach came to be and what is the soul king and how fucked up the world really is.
Yeah!!! I'm so confused about his form! In his inner world, fused Tensa zangetsu has his Quincy side on his right side and his hollow side on his left side. So I can understand why a horn would appear on ichigo's left side BUT the placing of the swords is kind of in the inverse. I feel like his small sword should be for his hollow side. There was a small sword when he first mastered fullbring which has a connection to hollows. The bigger sword should be for his Quincy side which points to the restraining nature of OMZ. The sword acts as a 'sheathe' in bankai and probably has a connection to the 'bandages' from the original shikai. Or maybe I'm just fanficing😅
@@rivivuel8188 Did you know his sword sword turned white the one on this right it turned white because it was a second horn where his left horn and his hollow Is a fusion of his shinigami powers and his hollow powers and old man zangetsu is small he's almost not as powerful as hollow ichigo and fullbring sword is small because he's almost able to gain shinigami powers and because of his combat bass
@@warrior_of_salvation12137 I didn't know that. Thanks. I didn't realize the right sword is like another horn. I wonder if soul reapers and maybe souls are based off arrancar(they have reasoning) and hollows🤔. The soul king was born after hollows and the first menos came into being AND served as a barrier only(?) between hollows and humans. I don't know if tite kubo knows about biology and I probably know even less. Human beings are actually part viruses since they have genetic coding for ancient viruses in their DNA. This has to do with virus after succeeding to penetrate cells they imprint their code to replicate. This could explain why any plus can become a hollow, cause they were originally hollows😅. I wonder what the humans were like.
My main doubt about the Hogyoku is, how can two different beings, like Urahara and Aizen, create the same device at the same time? Like, they invented the hogyoku, they just came out with the same idea at the same time, both put to it the same name, and using the same "ingredients" to create it? I know great minds think alike but this is like two different people having the exact same idea haha Thank you so much for the video!
in science like Math there have been people working on same theories without knowing each other and inventing the same theories without knowledge of the each others work.
The difference between Aizen and Urahara's intelligence is night and day. why? Urahara's Hogyoku does not need soul in order to be maintained, and if he so chooses, he is more than capable of perfecting it on his own. He is aware that if he perfects it, it would very certainly end up in the wrong hands, like Aizen. Aizen is aware that Urahara is capable of perfecting the hogyoku without the need of any soul or anything else. That's why Aizen despite Urahara's intellectual. Aizen is curious as to why Urahara is opposed to any kind of shift in the status quo of the soul society that is ruled by the Soul King. Aizen has the impression that Urahara, having processed the knowledges and knowing the truth, may be someone who can comprehend how he felt and his aim, as well as someone to whom he can relate.
It's important to not that Aizen didn't loose most of the buffs he received from hogyoku induced evolutions, his crazy reiatsu after killing Gin, that he recovered & grew even stronger by TYBW.
in the end, Aizen created what he wanted to do with himself in the image of Ichigo. A godly being who is not alone... Only if fukin Yhwach let Aizen finish his sentence in the final battle when he said "Kurosaki Ichigo..."... But words were not needed.... At that moment Ichigo relized... He has lost his real father and screamed in sorrow.
The video starter great, and then went all over the place and back to the beginning. I wanted a TLDR not a recap within a recap. A small list of what we know and don't know for example would be nice. eg: We don't know the material it's made of but we do know it is indestructible. Feels like the video is informative albeit unorganized.
Hearing your complaint about the filler of Bleach brings up a question I've had for a while: Why hasn't Bleach been given the Kai treatment? I'd argue it needed it far more than Dragon Ball with how much filler there was. Get rid of it and have a few seasonal box sets that flow much better into each arc.
Time is the issue and kubo did say he wants to make one but it will affect the latest arcs. They will have to split the team or stop working on TYBW and beyond arcs.
Bleach doesn't really need a no-filler cut because almost all of its filler are in long fully formed filler arcs rather than randomly scattered episodes. You can skip the entire bount arc for instance just by knowing which episode it starts and ends on and you're golden. It's filler is extremely avoidable. The other reason is that, honestly, most of Bleach's filler is totally fine and satisfactory. Some of it like the zanpakuto rebellion is actually really good. Bleach's world has always been underdeveloped in the main series and the filler arcs flesh it out well despite being non Canon. Some of the filler was good enough to ascend into Canon like the design of Shunsui's zanpakuto spirit. People only hate the filler because if you were an anime only as the show was releasing it was upsetting to see arcs cut up by filler.
Uh, I think i know what you mean but can’t remember the source and idk if they had and sort of thought so the same. In any case… Did it perhaps sense the desires of Orihime and Chad when they were in the vicinity of Rukia who possessed it around them before Soul Society arc? I’m not fully sure where we coole have heard/seen that but based of that aspect maybe?
All Fullbringers that we see have essentially a fragment of the soul king on them or as we already discussed were granted that ability through the Hogyuoku which is still a part of the Soul King, it grants them powers that make them a tier above normal humans.
I've always wondered what would happen if the Hogyoku was placed within the soul king. The soul king was god he allowed himself to be cut to pieces. So I wouldn't be surprised if he healed then with ease destroyed it. Even yhwach was but a child compared to how powerful the soul king was.
Aizen was not reverted to normal when he lost. He's immortal, and a higher level of Soul Reaper as Kyokasuigetsu has merged with his body(technically soul), which is why he can still use it's effect, and does so during TYBW.
the Hogyoku is a good way to implement an omnipotent power in a way that isnt completely broken. its near randomness in how it manifests its limitless capabilities keeps it from simply being the ultimate weapon. even Aizen couldnt truly control it. id say this is an even better implementation than Yhwach's Almighty, since the Hogyoku is both easier to understand (once explained) and it isnt fully within any one character's control, even if Aizen seemingly gained the most benefit from it for a little while atleast. but i understand why Yhwach's abilities are so beyond broken. you have to do something really damn special to one-up nigh omnipotence after all
Destroying boundary doesn’t mean merging. His hogyoku fused form was explained in databook. A godly entity unrelated to shinigami and hollow. He is neither of them, nor a product of their fusion. He is a transcendent being, not hybrid either.
I always thought the hogyoku reverted Aizens transformations because it recognized Ichigo as its true master. Due to his strong will and naturally greater power than Aizens
The hogyoku is the physical form of the will to power! Aizen did not want to be the only Ubermesch. We need a video on the soul king in the future, as well as the origins of the bleach universe from the novels. Aizen: “God is dead, God remains dead dead for we have killed him.”
It's more darkly nuanced than simple good and evil. Other than Ichigo and his friends there is no true good. Aizen's actions would've left hundreds of thousands dead with him as a tyrant god, while Soul Society's nobility has murdered unknown numbers of people to keep their secrets hidden especially about the Spirit King. Keeping the status quo results in bloodshed while the same happens trying to change it.

He clearly knew Quincy were alive and well and later showed he knew of his majesty. I think he was trying to get ahead of the Quincy King and if he failed, at least Gotei would be stronger and possibly more prepared.

But against the Quincy Chair Sama is certainly a lot stronger than what he was when fighting Ichigo, as stated by several captains. So how does that fit into the bigger Picture if he lost his powers and got "weak" after fighting Ichigo ?

The hollows always felt like corrupted humans (because they are), but Aizen basically civilized Hueco Mundo
Thank you For the great content and the independent time. That it took you to research this and share it with us much success to you in your channel God-bless.
The hogyoku is the soul king’s balls
Voices matter in videos like this. And you got a very good voice. Keep it up.
I wish the hogyoku talked to ichigo. Im sure it must have been taken aback by his final getsuga.
My favorite video of urs so far
There’s one addition I’d like to make. I think aizen also said that hogyoku manifests one’s desires, but only if the recipient had the strength to do it. Or something along those lines, I need to rewatch it before the TYBW premiere. It might’ve meant that if their desire was strong enough, it would grant the recipient their hearts desire.
More like had the power already in them I think that’s what Aizen said
Damn, so Ichigo is actually a perfect Hogyoku by merit that he's a perfect fusion of human, shinigami, hollow, and quincy (plus fullbringer). No wonder he can sense the hearts of his opponents when they fight and has a knack for changing destiny.
Hogyoku is really powerful
Nice video probably the simpilist one to understand on the hogyoku I've seen
Maybe u can do a wat if situation on the hogyoku like bleach brave souls with the different factions thoughts?
Urahara and aizen had the potential to be besties tbh
The break down sphere is one of the coolest names ever
Great video as always. Keep up the good work brother. Cant wait for the next one
When Aizen felt lonely, the Hogyoku knew that's not what he wanted but that was all he was gonna get from it so it ended up leaving him.
Maybe the Hogyoku was the friends we made along the way
Literally my first exposure to the Hogyoku was when, not super far into Bleach, in the manga I saw Squad 10 (Hitsugaya and assistant captain) look goofilly toward their Soul Society manufactured teevee screen whilst Yamamoto told them about the chaos emeralds, I mean hogyoku...
still kinda cool how aizen still has the hogyoku and it never left him and he still has all his powers
One thing I love is that the filler actually becomes part of the cannon in the anime
Explain ichigo's horn of salvation and his new appearance in the thousand year blood war arc and his duel wielding
@@rivivuel8188 what the hell
@@warrior_of_salvation12137 yeah its dark on another level😶😶😶just like bleach
aizen is more deep of a character than people think
My main doubt about the Hogyoku is, how can two different beings, like Urahara and Aizen, create the same device at the same time? Like, they invented the hogyoku, they just came out with the same idea at the same time, both put to it the same name, and using the same "ingredients" to create it? I know great minds think alike but this is like two different people having the exact same idea haha Thank you so much for the video!
in science like Math there have been people working on same theories without knowing each other and inventing the same theories without knowledge of the each others work.
Im re-watching Bleach from the start and noticing little things here n there thanks to these videos and it not been the first time watching it
Hogyoku: Hashirama cells of Bleach
Amazing vid bruh
12:01 when he actually sums it up
The difference between Aizen and Urahara's intelligence is night and day.
9:54 the hogyoku , when colored this way, looks just like an Eyeball from Soul King Bach
in the end, Aizen created what he wanted to do with himself in the image of Ichigo. A godly being who is not alone... Only if fukin Yhwach let Aizen finish his sentence in the final battle when he said "Kurosaki Ichigo..."... But words were not needed....
At that moment Ichigo relized... He has lost his real father and screamed in sorrow.
100k here we go!! soul king analysis incoming???
Hogyoku was always a little confusing I didn't care tho Aizen was the best.
I love your videos! 😊
THE HOGYOKU! All the names in bleach are so fun to say to annoy your friends with 🤣
So we’re there 2 different Hogyokus? Because It’s presented that Nel was the third Espada a long time ago, so was Nel an Espada 100 years ago?
When one of your videos comes out but I can’t watch it because I have work to do it makes me want to cry….
The video starter great, and then went all over the place and back to the beginning. I wanted a TLDR not a recap within a recap. A small list of what we know and don't know for example would be nice. eg: We don't know the material it's made of but we do know it is indestructible. Feels like the video is informative albeit unorganized.
The Hogyoku is basically a reality stone
My guess is the the hogyoku is piece of the soul kings heart or something like that 😂
Hearing your complaint about the filler of Bleach brings up a question I've had for a while: Why hasn't Bleach been given the Kai treatment?
The hogyoku is pretty much the shikon jewel from Inuyasha. They are both made from souls, they both grant wishes and they are both round.
Whats the song around the 5 minute mark?
Maybe the hogyoku is the fifth missing iris of the soul king, which explains why there is 2 of them.
Didn't know Orihime and Chad's powers awakened because of the hogyoku, don't remember where this information was mentioned in the story.
They spent a good time around Rukia and they both had a great desire. Just gotta remember what the hyogoku does
When Aizen talks with Ichigo before Isshin interrupts them i think
All Fullbringers that we see have essentially a fragment of the soul king on them or as we already discussed were granted that ability through the Hogyuoku which is still a part of the Soul King, it grants them powers that make them a tier above normal humans.
TLDR Rukia is the hero of the story because she unwittingly willed Ichigo to be the hope that everyone needed despite all odds.
I've always wondered what would happen if the Hogyoku was placed within the soul king. The soul king was god he allowed himself to be cut to pieces. So I wouldn't be surprised if he healed then with ease destroyed it. Even yhwach was but a child compared to how powerful the soul king was.
Wow I didn't even know there were 2 Hogyokus, I thought it was just the one urahara made.
4:20 wait so there is 2 Hogyoku?? 🤔
I needed this
Aizen was not reverted to normal when he lost. He's immortal, and a higher level of Soul Reaper as Kyokasuigetsu has merged with his body(technically soul), which is why he can still use it's effect, and does so during TYBW.
I am subscribed❤️
the Hogyoku is a good way to implement an omnipotent power in a way that isnt completely broken. its near randomness in how it manifests its limitless capabilities keeps it from simply being the ultimate weapon. even Aizen couldnt truly control it. id say this is an even better implementation than Yhwach's Almighty, since the Hogyoku is both easier to understand (once explained) and it isnt fully within any one character's control, even if Aizen seemingly gained the most benefit from it for a little while atleast.
but i understand why Yhwach's abilities are so beyond broken. you have to do something really damn special to one-up nigh omnipotence after all
Aizen is a lawful evil and Urahara a lawful neutral
I always though Ichigo's and friends power ups were because their proximity to the hogyoku when it was embedded in Rukia.
I didnt even know there were two lol
So it's a muguffin that does what ever the story needs..................
The hogyoku is the physical form of the will to power!
Aizen did not want to be the only Ubermesch.
We need a video on the soul king in the future, as well as the origins of the bleach universe from the novels.
Aizen: “God is dead, God remains dead dead for we have killed him.”
I want to know Aizen's childhood more.
i know a few forshadowings that aizen wasnt the bad guy all along
It's more darkly nuanced than simple good and evil. Other than Ichigo and his friends there is no true good. Aizen's actions would've left hundreds of thousands dead with him as a tyrant god, while Soul Society's nobility has murdered unknown numbers of people to keep their secrets hidden especially about the Spirit King. Keeping the status quo results in bloodshed while the same happens trying to change it.

Yes look forward to Arrancar April!
It is my honest theory that Aizen was trying to help albeit indirectly help Gotei 13 grow stronger. Not one shinigami died. He clearly knew Quincy were alive and well and later showed he knew of his majesty. I think he was trying to get ahead of the Quincy King and if he failed, at least Gotei would be stronger and possibly more prepared.
What's that outro music?
11:30 yeah but every man has a weakness, based on this info it's a matter of time when the hogyoku will turn it's back on you ..... Basically 😢
I always wondered if Gin's wish was manifested, since he was near the hogyoku, rather why didn't it manifest, it seems?
Because like we see Aizen subjugated the Hogyoku and it sees Aizen as it's master so it returned to him
If you can turn a normal hollow into a powerful arrancar, what if it's used on a vastolorde
Also isn t Aizen s design when merged wit the hogyoku similar to the soul king? Especially the first one
All the filler arcs pulled me out of bleach so bad by the time I got to Aizens finale, I didn't really understand or care, but your vids have reignited my love of bleach.
But against the Quincy Chair Sama is certainly a lot stronger than what he was when fighting Ichigo, as stated by several captains. So how does that fit into the bigger Picture if he lost his powers and got "weak" after fighting Ichigo ?
IMAGINE IF SOMEONES FULLBRING FOCAL POINT WAS THE HOGYOKU INSTEAD OF EVERYDAY ITEMS LIKE CHAINS OR HAIR CLIPS. WOULDNT THEY BE ABLE TO CONTROL WHAT THE HOGYOKU BRINGS INTO REALITY?
If it suited him could Aizen become a fullbringer and a quincy too?
Aizen: HAHAHHA IM IMMORTAL wait but im lowkey a person who are only fused with hogyoku
Hogyoku : nah bro you not worthy. Ill reject
