Very different sounding speakers. The KEF sound like they have a dip in the midrange, the Focal sound fuller, almost boosted in the midrange. KEF more laid-back, Focal more forward.
As I have gained more experience to detect true high-fidelity sound and also running pro audio live music systems for quite some time now, I truly appreciate speakers that can bring to life the most natural sounds without too much embellishment on certain frequencies. With that in mind- I have to go with KEF!!!
Great videos! I have.a quick question. What is the difference between the recording equipment between the Focal and the KEF video? For some reason, the left channel on the Focal video is a bit lacking compared to the the right channel. In the KEF video, the left and right channels sound balanced.
Well, there is a clear difference in the distance between the speakers in each test (kef/focal). That surely has SOME effect on the final result (specially considering room interactions).
The Focal seems a bit better in the low range and the highs a bit crisper BUT the Mark Knopfler voice sounds fake, very fake. Somehow the Q700 reproduces his voice as I know it. Also the Focals high range seems to distort near 4:30. May be your camera mic?
The speakers are not placed at the same spot , the Focal should not point at you, but stright to opposit wall. That,s way they could sond sharp in the top end.

Focal win because of the aluminum/magnesium tweeter,high frequency present better than kef ,but need a quality amp to made better control & sound stage
Yes,l know,kef is good speaker,but in the hires century,kef technology is seem to be outdate than the competitor,like b&w, focal.in this class of speaker to compare may be same same,but focal hv a advantage to play more hires audio because of a clear soundstage & picture
Focal blows away the kef imo. The kef sounds smeared, I hear a few stray notes that honk. The focals are quite lovely. Maybe a tad bass light and the lower mids might be lacking some growl. It's hard to tell in this song if the kef is over cooking the lower mids or if the focal is under cooking them.

Focal. Night and day difference I listened to both in person and the difference is so huge.

Thank you for your comment. I don't know where the difference comes from, both have been recorded with the same recording equipment.

Both good soeakers. However, big speakers has sounded more relaxed, fuller and has wider sound stage. Kef for me.
Focal's sounds bright and revealing and KEF sounds smooth and frequencies sounds
rolled off, for long music sessions KEF will be an ideal choice.

Kef wins it for me. Wider soundstage and better dynamics with warmer sound. Focal sounds a tad thin to me but has a nice presence.

Приветствую. Дома я их не тестировал,но я их слушал в салоне и сравнивал с другой акустикой. На мой слух до 3000€ у них конкурентов нет. Удачи.

KEF глухие, не хватает прозрачности, воздуха. Chorus более живой, объёмный, чистый, выигрывает однозначно.
достаточно просто в мониторных наушниках послушать оригинал, чтобы понять, что кеф играет натурально, а фокалы красят )

BGChicago that is not correct. The Chorus are incredible speakers. Aria is a bit better but much more expensivw
