That is why adults only resorts exist.

The adult probably could have checked this one up in the loss column and left it alone.

Sometimes you gotta take the L and move on. Or just order more cocktails.

[I would not be found in a public piss pot "pool" in the first place. But if I were and the kids were enjoying themselves, I would get out and find another place to relax. I remember when my parents bought one of their homes, my mother was bitching about a 4 percent interest rate. We avoid all of that by paying cash for our places.

The guy is in the wrong. Bad way to handle it. Btw... when this came out I was enjoying the Spa at the Park Hyatt NYC... great review you did of it and the Thompson and I chose the Park Hyatt based off your reviews. (Thompson looked good too but liked the Park Hyatt a little more) had a great time and the 10 shower head shower in spa was absolutely amazing. Everyone needs a 10 shower head shower atvleast once in their life. 😂

I think you should clarify that the Fed doesn't raise or lower mortgage rates. I'm sure you know that, but the way you presented it, one could get the impression there is a 1:1 relationship between the Fed rate and home mortgage rates. The reality is that there are many more factors involved with mortgage rates and they are most directly tied to the bond market. The home mortgage rates more closely follow the trend line for 10-year treasuries. The fed did directly mess with home mortgage rates in 2020, but it wasn't by lowering the Fed rate but rather it was buying up $900 billion worth of mortgage-backed securities in a 15-month period. By putting their finger on the scale in such an unprecendeted fashion, they artificially lowered mortgage rates in 2021 and drove inflation through the roof.

Tell the kids to stop politely, talk to their parents afterwards.

I prolly would have handled that a bit better. Also, read the room - if I’m at Disney and I’m at the pool, it’ll prolly have kids. That is what it is. If I’m are the Park Hyatt and kids are continually doing cannon balls I’d say something. One is fine I’m good with that, but again and again and they clearly see I’m affected that’s not cool. I’d very kindly ask them to stop.

While I don't think Mr Cocktail was in the wrong, his first response shouldn't have been splashing the kids back to get them to stop. They're kids. If you splash them back of course they are going to respond the way they did. So in the wrong? no. Did he handle it intelligently? Also no.

If you are sitting near the pool expect to get wet! The guy should have known better! He’s an idiot for starting trouble! Take your drink and leave!

Just to be clear, the adult couldn’t control his emotions and began doing exactly what the children that were irritating him were doing, in a public pool, and wants to know if he was wrong? Is that the gist of it?

First! I would tell the kids to go elsewhere
