A liquid biopsy or x-ray scans could be used to see if you have any residual cancer. There are some indicators that sugar consumption may increase cancer risk and growth, but more research is needed.
Is there any improvements on metestatic er positive her negative breast cancers, possibility vaccines, immunotherapy, or other hopes? Please Thank you.
@@cancerinformanthank you so much. I hope even if they can't cure it at list if they can make it like diabetes like chronic long term illness. Thanks again.
This is a great question. There are theories that cancers contain special cells called stem cells that may be resistant to therapy, and these cells may give rise to treatment resistant recurrences. There is a lot of ongoing study investigating the mechanisms of treatment resistance in different cancers. You also raise some interesting questions about sugar and cancer. We know that many cancers may have altered sugar metabolism and become dependent on glucose. In addition, diabetes is a known risk factor for the development of many types of cancers. However Its still unclear if diet can impact tumor growth and progression in patients with breast cancer. In general, refined sugars are often associated with health risks, so its best to avoid them. Fruit does contain sugars but also contains other important nutrients and antioxidants that could be beneficial for overall health so the risks if any of fruits are currently unknown. This is an area of extensive current research so there may be new information arising soon. In addition there are some theories that diet could affect the microbiome of the gut, which in turn could impact immune function and cancer growth.
