Rangers need to play the same style of hockey they did against Carolina staying one step ahead.
Florida also has a Knack of starting slow. Specially in the 1st period. I doubt this series is going to be a high scoring series. More like 3-2, 2-1 games a D# over O# first series

I am a Ranger's fan, but I think this series can go either way. The Panthers are a very good team.
I’m a huge Ranger fan, have been for 55 years. But Bobrovsky can play out of his mind. Goaltending is going to rule the day in this series.

If the Rangers keep playing with Kreider in front of the net like they did in the last 8ish minutes in the last Canes-Rangers game, they WILL be absolutely UNSTOPPABLE......from an old guy who grew up in NY, had season tix for a few years in the 80's and have been watching just about every Rangers game since the late 70's. BIG BODIES in front of the net and great forechecking and challenging while defending on the power play is a formula for success!!!!
The Panthers have played with A LOT MORE INTENSITY , the Rangers have played like they would rather be home which is a terrible sign for the Rangers . Unless the Rangers play like they did during the latter half of the 3rd period in their last game they have little chance .

The Rangers have played against rush teams the past 3 series they’ve played. The Panthers are a forecheck team that takes body first, puck second. We have no idea how the Rangers will adjust to this.
Comparing goaltending via playoff numbers is wild to me as well. The Rangers played the capitals in R1.
Panthers fans gotta realize that Boston and Tampa aren't as good of a team as the Hurricanes are. It's also not like Vasilevskiy was playing like his prime self. The Goals Saved Above Expected stat doesn't change depending on the team their playing. It's about how many goals are saved above expected that's it.

So obviously this will be a fun/tough series for both team. Shesterkin is in his prime while bob is coming out of it, but bob is still a really good goal tender. The Panthers just beat Swayman, which let’s be honest he’s going to be the best goalie next season.

I will say it again, Intensity and Consistency are the two ingredients to beat Florida. We know they are hungry due to their unsuccessful finish in 2023 so I did call this Carolina series a 6 game Ranger win this series the Rangers may do the same to Florida and knowing the Panthers love to hit their lone man breakaway the Rangers have to hit and use their sticks to block and poke.
Panthers are such overrated thugs… everyone still thinks this years bruins team was comparable to last year. In reality you could build a playoff team with the players the bruins lost from last year and they’re roster had so many holes the panthers had a miserable excuse for a series if you consider this.
Cherry picking stats won't help Rangers. What about 5x5 play, what about defense and offense in general?
When you compare goalies, just remember the last two cups were won in front of pedestrian goalies picked up from Arizona in Kuemper and Hill. So maybe the defense matters more.

You forgot one stat, since you are strictly utilizing that as your analysis and that is 5v5. The Panthers are the top 5v5 team with goals against, while the Rangers are far better on the PP. This will be a very good series and I am counting on the Panther's experience to pull them through.
