Something that can always make or break a sketch is the portrayal of parents. But Stevie’s crew always crushes it with the actors they get. Mom and dad are superb in this sketch, along with everyone else.

I'm 29 and everyone during any family gathering are couples and I'm always solo. It gets awkward and I have to constantly make excuses on why I'm single. It gets draining and I always itch to leave.
There's indeed a lot of social pressure for people to be seen in a relationship, but there'll always be a minority of people who are truly happy with being lone wolves. If you are happy being on your own, then you will need to get your family to accept that, without sounding too desperate to convince them. Good luck!

I'm a bit older than you and it's been over 5 years since I've brought a girl to a family event. I enjoy being single a little too much to date again, probably. They stopped asking when siblings/cousins started to have kids and it became more enjoyable. Just lean into the "weird but fun" uncle vibes and you'll be alright.
It's sooo heartwarming to watch Stevie and his crew grow as artists. The videos keep getting better and better even though they were already incredible at the beginning of this channel!
Steve you always kill it but that ending when the mom steps into the bar is one of the funniest/unexpected things I’ve ever seen. There so many levels. Merry Christmas

"I don't appreciate that you keep putting your arm around an inanimate object" 💀💀 Y'all need to turn this into a series cause the dick head of a brother absolutely killed this 🤣🤣🤣🤣👏 Def one of my favourite skits of yours 🏆
Imagine if his brother has also turned out to be a paid actor. It would make a great christmas dramedy. I can see Stevie finding out the truth before chrismas and getting in a heated argument with his father who lost his wife and other baby boy in a tragic accident and couldn't really deal with it. He couldn't tell his son about it and just wanted to make it possible for Stevie to grow up believing he has a family. All kind of drama happens and in the end they realize that through all the years and christmas dinners they've actually grown to be a true family. The movie ends with a heartwarming note as the camera zooms out of their New York apartment's window, showing the snow falling outside, chrismas lights and them laughing and having dinner together as family that is not bound by blood, but love.

The mom being an actor reminds me of that one joke where the one guy pretends to be gay but the other friend doesn't want him to get the last laugh so they keep being gay forever.

I definitely didn’t expect the mom twist at the end. Initially after seeing the ending I thought the mom was rented by the dad to be his wife. But Stevie and his bro called her mom so she must be part of their life and not just rented for Christmas get together. So then I thought she must be the actual mom but works as a rent a girlfriend too on the side.
