@@david.stachon Well I'm seeing a lot of guys be happy with it, too. I think it's like every new camera-some folks buy one and it winds up not being the one for them.
This channel really brings me back to reality. Life isn't all pie-in-the-sky camera features. Sometimes you gotta face the harsh facts... it's a tough world out there for camera enthusiasts.
I have to say you are really showing us how a camera is. No sugar coating, no fanboy tendencies. Objective judgment with a slight (he-he) hint of cynicism, which is solidly built on previous deceptions of camera makers. You can watch all the "regular" reviews where a hobo (sic!) gets hold of a camera for a week, uses it for a couple of hours, a couple of shots and then reads the spec sheet. Basically repeating the camera makers presentation from the reveal event. Not much you can learn from it. I can understand that camera makers get slightly aggravated against you, since you are really going deep and telling about obvious flaws, along with merits. I would say that they should be immensely grateful for your efforts and comments, as you are a power-user providing them with valuable and quality feedback. Just keep up the great work!
Having watched your second ’just got an H-X2s’ video, I ordered my X-T4 - having watched this: I’m even more pleased I did… thank you. Be well and stay safe.
These results are a little surprising but also not the most scientific tbh. Focus/exposure could be off. We don't know the respective ISOs being used. Also what codecs ? XH2S's ProRes/ProRes Raw should crush XT4's h265. And again the main attraction here is the 6.2K Open Gate mode and low rolling shutter. That's not to say there may be a quality drop on high frame rates, keep in mind though there is no extra cropping like on XT4. Always a tradeoff somewhere.. I'm not even on Fuji system currently but these "findings" have in no way diminished my interest in XH2S and if I was on the system I wouldn't hesitate to upgrade to it. Only negative for me is they dropped the dials, that's the one thing I miss from my Fuji bodies vs Canon/Sony.
I agree. Also he didn't mention anything about bit rates. I have XH2S and at 360Mps 120fps and 240fps looks bad, but at 720Mbps footage looks great at both frame rates.
Unless you’re doing a side by side comparison, with the exact lens, exact settings, and most importantly shot at the exact same second, it’s impossible to make a conclusion out of these “tests”. I’d say this is 11/10 user error. Why? Because I own both. I’ve used my XT4 extensively for video for more than 2 years. I bought an XH2S one month ago and trust me, the XT4 doesn’t stand a chance. I mainly shoot at 4K/60p. And since the XT4 can’t even shoot at 4K/120p, I believe we shouldn’t even touch that topic. Firstly, the XH2S can shoot All-Intra at 720mbps. The XT4 at 200mbps with the inferior LongGOP. That alone would make the IQ of the XH2S much, much more superior. 4:2:2 vs 4:2:0. When I first previewed the footage of my XH2S, I was blown away by the colors. Red was red. Green was green. And black was black. It was just much “fuller” looking. And this is because of the 4:2:2 color of the XH2S. The XT4’s 4:2:0 wasn’t bad, but when you compare the two, the color quality is just different. IBIS. Again, XT4 doesn’t stand a chance with this. No more jittering! I know he said it still jitters. But in his example, he’s using a long telephoto with another arm on the focus ring because he was in MF. What do you expect, a buttery smooth pan? The IBIS is just much more improved. Have you seen how bad the 10-24 wobbles in the XT4? That is long gone in the XH2S. G-O-N-E. Finally! I’ve just shot an entire 35 minute video using the 10-24 at 10mm and not once I noticed the annoying wobble! It is actually USABLE now! Autofocus. In photo, the XT4 is actually pretty good. But in video, you just can’t compare it. It literally finds your eye when you least expect it to. Video tracking is better than photo tracking of the XT4. Custome Modes from 1 to 7! I thought I wouldn’t like this. But this is the best dial Fuji has made! You can literally save every single setting you can think of in the Custom Modes. C1 saves to CFExpress at 720mbps. Running out of space? Switch to C2 that records to the slower SD card at 360mbps. Need 30p only? Switch to C3. C4 is set to 24p with Eterna and with shutter priority. These are just some of my examples that the XT4 wouldn’t be able to do. All settings, whether small or big, will be stored in those 7 Custom Modes. Dynamic Range. The FLOG2’s DR is just mind blowing. I’ve never recovered highlights and shadows this good in all my past Fujis! Overheating. I use my cameras for longer periods of time. I always get overheat warnings on my XT4. Not even once on my XH2S. I haven’t really compared the 2 cameras side by side on the 240p yet. But I’ve used the XH2S in 240p with great results! Never really noticed any bad image quality. Noise is pretty much the same. But this was never an issue for me with the XT4 to begin with. The camera is not even 6 months old. We will get firmware updates to address all issues. Every firmware will make the camera better. Not the other way around. For those people saying that they’ll buy an XT4 after watching this video, ask yourself. Do you really shoot at HD 240p with super telephoto in manual mode, panning left and right while trying to focus all the time? Or if you really just don’t want the XH2S, then don’t waste money on the 3 year old XT4. I’d say wait for the XH2 or the XT5 that would be priced roughly the same.
Different needs and different price tags... Comparing the two is always inevitable however at the end of the day, you pay more you get better. It is so normal. I just newly bought a used xt4 and the price gap between two cameras was huge. Yeah, you got me man. Bye the way thanks for the video. You are so funny guy. I enjoyed watching it.
For the most part you are just trying to hype yourself up and justify your purchase. I also prefer the XH2s in a lot of areas. Better skin tones, better dynamic range, AF way better etc. But get real, most people can barely tell the difference between the image of the XH2s and XT4. You sound like an extreme colour grader, that's why you notice these subtle unimportant differences. The IBIS is not better, they fixed some wobbles because the IBIS barely moves now. It's much worse than the XT4 was. That's actually the main reason I'm looking to sell the XH2s. Anyone with the XT4 will barely notice the improvements except AF is mostly dependable now. To get 10 bit 422 in the XH2s, you need a really good computer to even edit those files, they are like the Canon R5 files.
I like this guy, because is weirf af. But he also has to understand that many Filmmakers filming little birds in Canada’s remote countryside doesn’t give a fuck. Only when it comes to better skin tone, more dynamic range and better colors for the 422 seems like little to him. Fuck the vlog the h2s is a bomb. At the end of the day what you do the mental saws with sharpness is only him, the real difference is the things he mentioned and that despite everything does not seem to understand. He seems obsessed with fuji. He seems obsessed with fuji. Who knows how he gets bored in the village where he lives
I in the same seat as you bought a XT4 when first come out, looking for a reason to to buy the XH2s, like you i will wait around for an X-T5....Just dont the the XH2s is value right now plus i really love my XT-4 and i would miss all the dails etc. I really want the same hardware and wait it to be the same with very little learning curve but just want more horsepower and a few twiks under the hood. Hope the X-T5 Delivers
@@Titannz213 Indeed, same here. There's upgrades of course, for me the most important ones are the better AF, 4k 120fps, 6k open gate, braw output, F-log 2 (14 stops of dynamic range), unlimited recording time. Some of these features would help me do my job better, but the price difference plus the missing dials and buttons just doesn't justify it for me. At the end of the day I'm running a business and the X-H2s, at the current price, doesn't justify the upgrades. Either they drop the price to 2000$ or less within the next 6 months or I'll just wait for future cameras, even from other brands. I also have to add that the same disappointments i had with the X-T4 are still the same with the X-H2s.
Kasey, this is a tough situation. I want to tell you to give it some time but if you're going to sell it, the time is now. The truth is if it doesn't fit your needs, it is not the tool for you. You already have a "RUclips" camera with the A7S3, do you need another one? Ultimately these are tools and you should only keep what actually works for you and in this case, the XT4 serves your work perfectly fine.
Of course, he needs new cameras so he can talk about them and make content. If he already found his perfect camera with the A7S III, he can just shut this entire channel down.
@@mbvglider If you've watched this channel long enough, you can tell when Kasey is actually happy with a purchase/gift (but still highlights issues dramatically because that is the source of his comedy) or when he clearly has a real issue with a purchase/gift. I understand he needs to keep acquiring new gear for content but the XH2S is one of those purchases/gifts he clearly has a real issue with. Like any XT4 owner, we now realize that the XH2S isn't a substantial upgrade with the current firmware. The real problem is the XT4 stands toe to toe with the XH2S in many aspects and that means it is a waste to "upgrade". I am sure Fuji is going to come out with at least one major update for the XH2S that makes it really shine but then the XH2 and other cameras will be on their way out by then.
You Sir made me switch from eos m6 II switch to fuji XT4. Currently own Fuji 1.4/33, Viltrox 1.4/13 and Fuji 18-135/3.5-5.6. Saving Money for 70-300. Best decision. Respect for your honesty. XT4 has the fuji magic for me. No need for upgrade.
The 70-300 was my second lense I ever owned and I have 0 regrets. I love that lense! Went to Yellowstone and Denali with that lense. Best devision ever!
The X-T4 image looks better in pretty much every example. Also, I’d love the grip but I’m sure the rest of the X-H2S ergos aren’t for me. I’m hoping the X-T5 retains clickable wheels and the focus switch. I feel like you’d be better served by ditching the animal detection, putting a monitor on the camera and just going AF-S with MF override adjustments. If you can see the focus on a big monitor you could probably learn to pull focus pretty well. Pretty sure those NatGeo guys and gals aren’t using bullshit bird autofocus algorithms.
@@cameraconspiracies Try the nonlinear focus ring function if you haven’t already. I’ve found that it helps with manual focusing at telephoto focal lengths. I have a video on my channel where I demonstrate the reliability of that setting if you’re interested.
@@cameraconspiracies I second that! My suggestion is a fickle solution. Figuring out the lens performance in video is such a tedious, and often times ambiguous effort when it comes the Fuji system. Adjusting the degree of focus throw is definitely the move because it would eliminate any uncertainty with a measurable control.
Good old "upgrades" where everything they got right gets thrown out for something worse. Meanwhile I'm suffering from the Canon cripple hammer with the R7. Why would they only give you native 32mp RAW or CRAW? Sometimes you don't want to shoot with such high resolution. Like forget doing time lapse and thinking you will preview the images at any kind of speed.
Just went out and tested this and it do be true. It seems that the 240 fps on the XH2S is just an after thought in every single way. Idk if it was just having a good day or what, but the 4k and HD 120 fps AF was way better and the 4K 60 and 24 fps even more so. Sharpness also improved in 120 fps and below. Weird. I do think it's weird that people are dismissing the camera based on its HFR downsides when the camera most people are wanting to get in its place is the A7IV which doesn't even have the option and is cropped 4k 60p but I digress.
I just filmed some talking head with the XH2S and it didn’t pulse focus randomly over and over like my XT4 does so that was a win. But that wasn’t 240p 😆
I have them both. Xt4 since 2020 and XH2s since 6 months, and I used the XH2s only once for a slow motion video, but I see I could have kept using the Xt4...
proof the dials on the xt4 improve the image quality. now if we could only lose the Flippy and return to pull out screen of xt3 then image quality would go to the moon.
Yep, that's why I'm holding out for the X-H2R (or whatever they decide to call it) and the 40MP sensor. It will be great for pretty much everything except birds and sports seeing as the stacked sensor is what gives the X-H2S its autofocus speed.
Oh god! I’m rewatching the episode on my tv, my iPad can’t resolve the horrificness of the XH2s. Is it a light issue at 240fps maybe, do you have one of those ridiculous toneh 0.95 lenses to compensate?
I have no idea why. I sold my xt4 for the xh2s and took it to Japan for my first trip in 3 years. And the photos turn out a lot worst than my xt4. I really don’t understand it. It’s not as sharp, the colour is worst and it’s just so disappointing. What changes did Fujifilm make?
@@cameraconspiracies maybe it’s 4:2:0 or just super low bit rates. Generally the quality doesn’t just go down without big drops in data. I notice if it shoot 10bit but not 4:2:0 120 there’s a noticeable drop, but then again it’s also lower bit rate per frame.
@@cameraconspiracies what os the highest bit rate at 240 or 120? Maybe it’s pretty small or you have set to a lower rate? That would be like saving a file out of davinch with a really bad bit rate, yea it’s going to look like crap. I doubt an external recorder would do anything beyond 120fps as a limit of hdmi.
@@cameraconspiracies Kind of suspect you don't mention the codec and bitrate tested. 17:9 or 16:9 FHD, H.265 LongGOP 422 MOV @ 720Mbps to SD or ProRes higher to CF? Someone call Gerald.
@@StackOverlord Because they all look the same... You guys are making a huge deal out of something you can't even see the difference in lol. I was in the max bitrate on my first try and I've been experimenting with other codecs to see if there are better ones. There aren't.
I bet the softness is because of the extra layers on the stacked sensor. Like taking of the AA filter sharpens resolution, maybe stacking does the reverse.
with slow motion modes you have crops, so i guess like less autofocus points? It was very similar with nikon z9 when it was released. It hunted like crazy in 120 fps. But now works great after few updates :). So fingers crossed for fuji!
Sadly all electronics company's launch their latest upgraded models that actualy have less features than the previous models and quite often less quality but a bigger price tag 👍
Can you compare x2hs to x2h pllllssss:) when ever got ur hands on one. Want to change from panasonic g9 for more MP, landscape photography and a lot of hiking so full frame could be to heavy
Sometimes I struggle to see the differences that this channel talks about. But, this comparison is pretty damning. I almost wonder if the XH2s isn't faulty. But, for the ultimate camera drama video, you will need to introduce the notorious Panasonic GH6 into this battle.
Hi @Casey, are you aware of this? “In order to make use of the new sensor and processor, there is a new flat picture profile called F-Log2, which extends the Dynamic Range up to 14 stops. We will make sure to verify this with our own lab test soon. The camera can process the data in 14bit and then records it to a 10bit codec onto the memory card. Because of the new components, noise and signal are processed in different ways. This results in a new base ISO for F-Log2 of 1250 ISO, compared to the base ISO for F-Log, which is 640 ISO.”
I keep seeing this being mentioned in comments, and he never mentions it in the videos. It seems you're meant to increase bit rate to 400 for the 240fps, which I think is used on the Xt4, so if he isn't doing that it explains everything. But maybe he is doing it and just isn't saying so.
@@aaroncohen7601 are you saying that h265 is better quality than prores? I thought prores was meant to be high quality? (I never use prores as its an apple proprietary garbage format but I know its commonly used in production)
😮 I just sold my XT4 and picked up the H2s 😅... I'm curious what codecs you used? Does prores have any advantages with clarity? We need some firmware fairy dust Fuji
What is your opinion? Is the XT4 video quality really better than H2s? I need a camera that has as high as possible dynamic range and shoots 4K 60 (or 120) at 10bit 4.2.2. minimum.
@@soundtempleAU I haven't done any side by sides but everything I have down looks so sharp and smooth the 4k 120 is sooooo good!!! For video this thing is a work horse ready to fk
@@cameraconspiracies No I don't mean that, the camera needs higher shutter speed for higher framerates so it almost certainly needs to bump up the ISO as well for higher framerates. It's not critique really, just a note :)
Yep or camera settings... Ok Im ready to ear and accept the fact that xh2s is worse than xt4 (the one I own) but looking at those footage feels wrong all the way, like full auto yolo 1mbps crazy frame rate 😂 I mean even for owning an xt4 I really don't found any of the video quality I get out of mine in this video footage...
@@cameraconspiracies I would think it matters when discussing sharpness. And how does focusing work with lower bitrates…etc. judging a camera off of one or two settings doesn’t help. And maybe Fuji would want to know so they can address it. But who cares right? As long as you get views. Why be fair and balanced?
@@cameraconspiracies oh, and wouldn’t this be an upgrade to the XH1? I thought the coming XT5 is the upgrade to the XT4. But what do I know? I’m just a dumb photographer.
Same thing happened last time over the XH1, people were waiting on the firmwares to make it match the XT3 and Fuji announced they wouldn't do that. So the XT3 remained Fujis apsc flagship at the time. People flooded the used market with orphaned XH1's that were barely used and were pretty cheap. Now you have to wait for the Fuji CEO to announce whether its yay or nay on firmwares for the XH2s. I do not like your odds. We are half way through Groundhog Day, and as we learn that the XH2s is not an upgrade over the XT4. If the firmwares come for the XH2s, then it will become the flagship, and values of XH2S-essess will remain strong. If no firmwares come and XH2s is rejected by Fuji, then prices of XH2s falls, and becomes an orphan just as it happened to the XH1. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Its stuff like this that people need to protest about when camera makers stop giving support for products for the purpose of "Creative Destruction". Canon was the absolute worst for ripping off its customers. If Fuji will not upgrade the XH2s to XT4 specs, I will sell my last Fuji Camera (Xe1) and basic kit Lens as a protest. Well actually i already had it up for sale but no one was interested, so I took it off.
The X-H1 has been steady at around $800 in the used market for quite some time. Not to bad of value retention for a four year old camera, because at least it was very well made. I've shot a pair of them professionally. Yes, Fuji dropped the ball by not debuting their new imaging engine on the H1, instead choosing to maximize ROI on the X-T2 generation of imaging. That's certainly no bad thing in terms of photo or even video quality.. it just lacked the whizz-bang quotient that other cameras had within a few months of its release. Plus side: better than Leica (according to Hugh Brownstone) shutter experience, proven solid WR and IBIS, excellent ergos if you're used to shooting old style vs PASM.. and all the near mint X-H1s you could ever want at 3 of 'em per one X-H2S :-D
@@Bolton115 I still use an XH1 and it performs really well. I most recently used it for a UCI World Cup downhill mountain bike race this August in West Virginia and got some really amazing results. A lot of claimed Fuji Shit performance is simply from shooter inexperience and poor technique. YES Fuji autofocus did fail me a bit, however the scenes I was asking the camera to perform in were pretty tough, like riders flying out of very dark shady woods instantly into bright sunny open areas, moving at 30 mph towards the camera- I had about 2 seconds to frame up a rider, press and hope the autofocus grabbed the subject and fire away. I couldnt track through the woods as it was too dark and too many obstructions. I was quite impressed with the XH1 performance and the color and image quality was just incredible. Some of my favorite images to date!
@@dmac8247 Word. I shoot concerts with mine and the AF is better than the intertubes would have you believe, and during some really vile lighting at times.
I have no interest in video, strictly photography. But I just purchased the XT4 new due to 24mp is plenty on an APS-C sensor. Also gives me the option of a vertical grip. Saved a little bit as well.
Lol I'm an idiot. Was watching and complaining "why didn't he label the shots so I know which is which" then I realized those damn aliens zoomed in on my phone again when they borrowed it. And I zoomed out. Presto...he did lable them all along. Bravo 👏 👏 👏
The flog2 is made for gaining high dymaic range like situation where is alot backlit highlights etc. Dont gain any benefit or more dynamic range in normal dark situation. Whats the point diss it then. 240p can be denoised whit no problem to look normal
Thanks Kasey. You just confirmed my own test results but in the Photography side. My bird pics were much sharper and with less noise from XT2 compared to the ones from Xh2s (I had rented). And as always hilarious video. But in this video I felt your pain. Hope you are able to sell your xh2s. Amen.
@@StudioNirin xt2 sir. My keeper rate with xh2s was very low. I was perplexed. My only plausible reason for this outcome is that the camera I rented perhaps unbeknownst to me was a preproduction model. But even then, the autofocus and the sharpness were surprising and shockingly lower than xt2 and has dissuaded me from buying the xh2s until such time I see a proper firmware update improving its performance. Hopefully it comes soon.
@@Klickerman it must have just been completely broken, as the auto focus in the xh2s is leagues better than the xt2. Even the xt3 is a significant improvement over the xt2. And the xt3 would also be sharper, thought that's fairly minor and the xh2s produces roughly the same images as the xt3 anyway (still an upgrade over the xt2 but not hugely). If you were talking about an xt3 or Xt4 it would make sense that it could be old firmware but... I think it was just a broken rental. Though you say it was also less sharp, so... Broken lens may be even more likely, as sharpness is mostly a lens characteristic not the camera.
@@StudioNirin Fuji's so good at firmware updates and maximizing old hardware that old cameras have been squeezed for all they can do, and the newer cameras might feel like a beta in comparison.
I’ve owned xt2, xt3 and xt4 which I sold for the xh2s and I cannot agree more with KH. I’m so disappointed with the xh2s. All my previous xt cameras are sharper, have less noise and better color. It seems the fast read out from the senor is causing this. I’m going to sell it and maybe buy the xt5 or xt3/4😢
Don’t sell the camera yet. You’ll go through the same dilema you went through when you sold your old X-T4. Hopefully kaizen fixes the camera but we can’t put our faith in firmware to fix everything.
Did you say $33 million Canadian dollars - the Jared jokes have caught on 😂😂sorry. You are great keep up the good work and look left and right crossing the road man!!!
Dumb question: Do video apps sharpen video? Of course with sliders you can increase contrast which may look better than sharpening...I only think of post sharpening for stills, and don't like going above 0 in camera.
@@sclogse1 who talked about post-prod sharpening ? You can increase or decrease this setting in camera. I was suggesting maybe that setting was altered and hadn’t noticed.

CC, you're forgetting something... You forgot to use the camera to tell a story -- it's a story-teller tool, hahaha! It's not the hardware that counts -- it's brainware! Go out there and shoot!
I disagree with this comment. Cameras are not "storytelling tools", they are "tools", so many people earn a living by reviewing specs and/or pushing tech to its limits, so yes, in a perfect world they would always be used to tell stories... We are not in that perfect world. On the other hand, you can say CC is telling a story with his daily videos...

You are the only one I've seen really talk about this. Pretty massive imo, thanks for saving people money 👍
Be well and stay safe.
the Xt-4 continues to prove its price to performance ratio... :D
Hopefully Fuji can roll out some firmware to fix some of these issues. I'm sure they will iron a lot of this out over time.
Hopefully they will but the track record in recent years says don’t get your hopes up
These results are a little surprising but also not the most scientific tbh.
The xt4 is really amazing and it's the first Fuji to remind of my xpro 1
i buy xt4 in 2023
The video title makes me happy - since I don't want to shell out the cash for the H2S and I only recently got the XT4 😍😂💪
Hope Fuji sees this bro.
There is zero chance you've used the XH2s in 240fps with "great" results bro, it looks like noisy 480p webcam footage.
I was on the edge of "upgrading" from my X-T4, trying to find reasons to buy the X-H2s. You just saved me, I'll wait for the X-T5.
You'll wait for the xt5 and then realize it's probably not a big difference lol
@@wm1573 that would be perfect, no big difference and much cheaper. But that won't happen, it will be less powerful but more affordable.
The focus throw is too long to do good manual focus pulls.
@@cameraconspiracies Try the nonlinear focus ring function if you haven’t already. I’ve found that it helps with manual focusing at telephoto focal lengths. I have a video on my channel where I demonstrate the reliability of that setting if you’re interested.
@@OITW It's trash and very jumpy. All Fuji needs to do is let us adjust the focus throw like Panasonic and Nikon.
Shoot RAW + JPEG. It's not like most cameras let you shoot RAW with fewer pixels. That's the whole point of RAW.
Nice! For the X-H1, my settings are +2 tracking sensitivity -2 AF speed.
Those settings are good enough for vlogging with auto focus.
Would love to see Gerald myth-busting your findings between the two bodies 🤣
I just filmed some talking head with the XH2S and it didn’t pulse focus randomly over and over like my XT4 does so that was a win. But that wasn’t 240p 😆
I have them both. Xt4 since 2020 and XH2s since 6 months, and I used the XH2s only once for a slow motion video, but I see I could have kept using the Xt4...

I hate the xt3 screen so much 🤮🤮🤮🤮
XT4 looks like the better camera! I wonder how the XH2s would handle a street crossing? !!!
The XT-4 has better dynamic range too, less noise, basically the X-H2s traded image quality for speed.

Is it a light issue at 240fps maybe, do you have one of those ridiculous toneh 0.95 lenses to compensate?
can you do some merch about OM? please?
I have no idea why. I sold my xt4 for the xh2s and took it to Japan for my first trip in 3 years. And the photos turn out a lot worst than my xt4. I really don’t understand it. It’s not as sharp, the colour is worst and it’s just so disappointing. What changes did Fujifilm make?
The changes they made certainly did not click this time around
I think it’s just more contrast so it looks sharper but it isn’t.

Would be good to do similar side by side tests: XT4 vs XS20
Are the higher frame rates 8 bit, shooting log in lower bit rates will definitely effect quality. Maybe just try non log.
Why would I shoot 8 bit?
It doesn't make sense. Sensor crop is physical, AF is software. There's no reason not to set the AF points within the cropped area of the sensor.
Have you had time to compare the less expensive XH2 with the XT4 or XT5?
That sucks to hear and is very disappointing when it happens to me. If it were me, I'd try to return it.
Sadly all electronics company's launch their latest upgraded models that actualy have less features than the previous models and quite often less quality but a bigger price tag 👍

Those final shots of the video were worth the wait. Nailed it.
Of course I'm aware of it, the ISO changes on the screen lol.
Did you up the bitrate when recording the 240p?
I keep seeing this being mentioned in comments, and he never mentions it in the videos. It seems you're meant to increase bit rate to 400 for the 240fps, which I think is used on the Xt4, so if he isn't doing that it explains everything.
But maybe he is doing it and just isn't saying so.
I've tried all the settings, they all look basically identical. This was in Pro Res HQ probably the highest bitrate you could do.

Don't forget that the X-H1 was the last model with the x-trans 3 sensor while the X-H2S is the first with gen. 5.

@@StudioNirin xt2 sir. My keeper rate with xh2s was very low. I was perplexed. My only plausible reason for this outcome is that the camera I rented perhaps unbeknownst to me was a preproduction model.
Why your not talking about Lumix full frame camera...?
Your talking about all brand but Lumix full frame
Thanks! Gotta keep the XF150-600 and pass on XH2s :-P
Maybe you have to stack the footage because its a stacked sensor 😁
I am not buying an XH2, maybe wait for XT5?
Don’t sell the camera yet. You’ll go through the same dilema you went through when you sold your old X-T4.
Hopefully kaizen fixes the camera but we can’t put our faith in firmware to fix everything.
Releasing alpha version and calling the beta or the final version an upgrade is very misleeading. We pay release money, we should get release quality.
@@aristotle_4532 I had release quality earlier today.
Before wildlife photography I didn't know mosquitoes fed on frogs... tmyk
I was your 920th like and you now have 120thK subscribers coincidence? Perhaps...
6:47 i thought you hated using B-roll
It seems to me that the XT4 in 120 hd has more contrast than the Fuji XH2s 4k.
Did you say $33 million Canadian dollars - the Jared jokes have caught on 😂😂sorry. You are great keep up the good work and look left and right crossing the road man!!!
Wow! I don't do video. What about stills, is there a difference in sharpness for stills? Can you return the XH2s?
Are you sure your sharpness settings are right ?
Dumb question: Do video apps sharpen video? Of course with sliders you can increase contrast which may look better than sharpening...I only think of post sharpening for stills, and don't like going above 0 in camera.
@@sclogse1 who talked about post-prod sharpening ? You can increase or decrease this setting in camera. I was suggesting maybe that setting was altered and hadn’t noticed.
0 sharpening for both.
@@cameraconspiracies Need Gerald to supervise... 😂
They used a bayer array sensor on the X-H2s
It's xtrans.
i shit bricks when the new cameras came out from fuji. i have the XT4 but youre making me realize that my impatience was well worth it FOR ONCE (x i guess its just one of those things where a company makes a product that is just unmatched.
CC, you're forgetting something... You forgot to use the camera to tell a story -- it's a story-teller tool, hahaha! It's not the hardware that counts -- it's brainware! Go out there and shoot!
Exact-amundo. But the youtube algorithms are telling CC, "You gotta feed the machine." How many times is msnbc, etc. on youube in one day?
I disagree with this comment. Cameras are not "storytelling tools", they are "tools", so many people earn a living by reviewing specs and/or pushing tech to its limits, so yes, in a perfect world they would always be used to tell stories...
We are not in that perfect world. On the other hand, you can say CC is telling a story with his daily videos...
Please do comparison with xt5 too ser.. and maybe combination with sony fx3 or fx30 too.. 😂😂
Bring out the X-T1 with the 50-230mm next time and see it it gets any worse
