- This is my version of "Hot Ones", the show where Sean Evans interviews celebrities while they try to maintain composure eating the hottest of hot wings. Instead of hot questions, I'm showing "hot" records. I'm trying ten different hot sauces including "Da Bomb"!
LMAO dude you are funny as hell, the facial expressions, omg frickin comical. That's why I tune in you bring great entertainment 🔥😣😆😅🥵
As a sauce and vinyl connoisseur, I approve of this message!
This was funny as hell. You looked like you were about to pass out after The Bomb. 😂
Tasted like pure acid. No flavor at all. Lol
Love it. Any chance of you doing a psychedelic album run-though while sampling hallucinogenics?
I did that. It took two parts.
Your videos are so damn entertaining. 👍
Robert, we need more content from you. Like every week man 😊
I actually been waiting for you to post bro, honestly my favorite in the vinyl community! I think it's cause I too was in radio broadcasting in the 90s and watch you gives me the nostalgia
Thanks! I know what you mean.
Another entertaining episode! I loved the concept of eating hot sauces while talking about "hot" albums.
at a buffet, i personally sneak corndogs into the buffet so others can enjoy them. I hide 6 corndogs in my jacket pockets. it then, is a joy for me to see other patrons of the establishment eat my corndogs thinking they were part of the buffet.
I’ve called HIIPA
Ah yes, doing the lords work. I salute you, sir! 😎
I can only imagine the look on someone's face when they go back for seconds and ask the kitchen, "are you going to be putting out more corn dogs soon?". 🤯😂 🤣
Good man
You are badass dude! The show must go on!
Thank you for putting yourself through that for our enjoyment. It was informative and entertaining. 😂😂😂
as a pet sounds fan, this is my favorite video of yours lol
Yes!
Quite simply, the best VC video I've ever watched. Hilarious. To carry on talking through all that pain ... heroic 😂 "Battery acid" 😅😅😅😂
Thanks! It was quite an undertaking
Robert, this may be your best video. Congratulations!
Thanks!! I will probably remain that. lol
Great video! Your advice to kids on how not to get beat up was Gen X gold.
Thankfully, some had older siblings who told us the rules so we could learn the easy way or were just a quick learners.
'What could be hotter than July?" Hell! Hotter than hell!" Brilliant
First hot sauce you actually liked was dark and thick., and then you show the Neil Diamond cover. LOL I see another theme emerging.
This is great, man! You definitely took one for the team! 🤘
Robert where you been! Missed ya man. Always enjoy your vids vinyl brother!
Fun stuff 👍🏻
Hot video Robert! Love that shirt too.🔥 U kicked those sauces asses 🥾🥾 Love how you worked in the vinyl info. Ur videos are next level.
I loved Olivia Newton-John in the film Sordid Lives, lol, She was great. I love it when you sing lyrics because your attempt to relay what the song sounds like is so far from how it really sounds it's great. Love the sniffles, that's a clear clue the accumulation effect is working, lol. I love the Isaac Hayes version of By The Time I Get to Phoenix because he tells the entire story. LOL, you need sugar to tame the hot sauce, water just spreads that acid around your mouth! "It's hot, but it's good!" They say milk is the best to drink after something spicy hot. The key is sugar, even a spoonful of sugar. It kills the spicy acid. LOL, I'm loving The Bomb reaction!
Commitment, man, you got commitment! "Oh, whoa, I just floated!" lol. That was excellent, especially your shout out at the end.
Thanks! I just used the water, mostly, to differentiate one sauce from another. I feel like sugar, etc is cheating.
Really dig your creativity and passion man. I was in the record shop the other day and picked up the “sly and the family stone greatest hits” cause I remember you talking about how good of a listen it was. Thanks for all the suggestions and entertainment man, you’re spreading some good vibes
Had to watch it twice because my eyes were closed so often the first time from laughing so hard! 😂
Thanks!! It was quite an effort for me to finish. Lol
Hahaha, the bomb got ya!! Great video Robert...
Thanks! I knew it would be over-the-top, but I was hoping it would, at least, have some flavor. lol
Robert, this was great. I can identify/sympathize with your hot sauce tastings. Thanks, Chris
Just when I thought these were all going to be the Al Capone's vault of sauces...shit gets real.
lol I remember that. Watched it live.
I need hot sauce on my food.
I appreciate the detail you put into this video. You definitely are my favorite creator in the VC. Unpretentious and honest. Informative and very entertaining. Please keep making content. We love it!
Thanks!! I appreciate it!
As usual another great entertaining video sir Thank you .
Great video man, love hot ones and love your videos and this one is definitely awesome
Thanks!! It took quite a bit of effort so I appreciate that.
The records and sauce ain't the holy HOT THANG here. That shirt is fire!!!
Nice use of your flattening-machine. 🙂
All the best from germany!
Hilarious video Robert. I hope you have some Pepto Bismol nearby. 🙏
I love how you're all all happy at the beginning but fifty minutes later you look like you've done two tours of duty in the Vietnam war.
That was awesome, great idea for a video, funny af. Thank you for your pain!
Hehe cool concept, even the Shirt! 🔥
Thanks!!
Robert, you are a legend.
Thanks!!
Love your videos 😂 🌶️ thx for the great content
Great video, love the spicy tie in and appropriate attire. How about a follow up from the next day with records that have the word runs, run, or running in them ? 😅 battery acid and a Rugby’s mention too !
Amazing Ace guitar solo on Strange Ways.
Hot Space is simply underrated.
That was funny. Thanks for the pain man!!!
Excellent and entertaining video! I honestly thought you were going to fill up your shoes after The Bomb 😂
It's wing Wednesday in my town tonight and hockey night to that's Edmonton Canada and I love your concept it's so original and fun you have such fun videos im enjoying a cold Budweiser and enjoying the video
Cold beverage sounds really nice after that.
I'm dyin' watching this-can only drink milk on cereal too so don't feel too bad-was Donna Summer's Hot Stuff mentioned? Wasn't paying much attention...or Maynard Ferguson's 1979 HOT disco-jazz album featuring the Rocky 2 Disco theme w Sly Stallone making punching bag grunt sounds in the studio and the re-issue of the original Star Trek Theme-oh yeah-right up there with The Perry Como 'I'm Still Alive '79 tour'....OY
"Bad Girls" was the album "Hot Stuff" was on. Wow that Maynard Ferguson sounds like a hot mess. lol
@@RobertFithen 🤣
Hi Robert. I've been enjoying your vids for the last couple months and have always found you insightful and humorous (tough to pull off). You have outdone yourself on this one. The last 15 minutes had me in stitches!. Thanks bro.
Thanks!! I appreciate it
Man that video was awesome I’m really glad you did this video very funny once it got near the end haha , hot butterd soul is one of my favs
Thanks!!
You handle hot sauce better than me, I’d have had hiccups by the third sample
OMG10 seconds in and I'm already laughing with anticipation at just the thought of what's going to happen....
Hope it lived up to expectations. lol
Just saw this, I am only 39 seconds into the video, but I know it's gonna be a hot hot vid from the Fab Fithen, so I am going to Like, and now, I shall continue watching...😜😘👍👍
Thanks!! I hope it lives up to that.
Once again. Another great episode. 👍 Big fan by the way
Thanks!!
this is why i love youtube...
your progressive decent towards the hot sauce hell that is da bomb gave me phantom sympathy pain. had a very difficult time trying to stop laughing. nicely done!
Thanks! I had seen so many videos of it's effects, then got to experience it myself. lol
Great video, Robert! Highly entertaining. I suppose you could've done the Beasties' "Hot Sauce Committee, Part Two" (yes, there's a vinyl release) or Cal Tjader's "Soul Sauce" which has a bottle of hot sauce on the cover. Great stuff. Keep'em coming!
Just so entertaining, I feel like a gained more music knowledge and had a good laugh 😀
Excellent! That's what I was going for.
Gotta agree with the re-sleeve.
This is easily my favorite video I've watched on your channel.
Your reaction to "The Bomb"...I almost spat out my water. ..😂😂😂😂
"NO!!!"...your face was priceless.
I don't know how you do it. ..I probably would have tapped out long before that hot sauce.
Hope you are doing well.
Mark Anthony K
Thanks! Doing better now. lol
Just picke d up that Isaac Hayes CD a couple of weeks ago and that fuzz guitar is nice and dirty. Great sound! Glad to see you made it out alive since you added in photos of the honorable mentions after the fact.
Well done ! Watched the entire thing. Every hot sauce aficionado knows you use milk, not water.
Thanks! I don't like milk. Never have. I use soy milk with cereal and that's it.
@@RobertFithen It supposedly has a Scoville killing effect.
Not getting stabbed in Granite City is an accomplishment!
Great idea. A video of your comedy albums would be funny, I hope.
Chicharrones y carnitas con chile chiltepe para que pique sabroso. You only need las tortillas, el aguacate, los frijolitos y el quesito fresco. Y una chelita. Cure's Hot, Hot Hot ! is the hottest song cause they say it 3 times.
Sin frijoles por favor. Buster Poindexter says "Hot" 3 times, too, but I didn't do song titles, just album titles.
@@RobertFithen Yo need to come to Guatemala to try los frijolitos volteados con chile y huevos rancheros. Bought first 3 David Johansen albums today and a New York Dolls comp. Yes he has that song. Caliente caliente caliente.
thank you both for the great insight....lol
This was fun, you’re awesome… and just to say it, I made it through my ENTIRE SoCal public school career without EVER using the restroom at school (no doors on stalls among other “issues”)… not bragging, just sayin’
Our stalls didn't have doors either. I remember thinking that was really strange.
40:29 - I'm sure theres a market for hot sauce called, "Oh shit, come on man!"
Yeah Hot Rocks is a must for any collection. Man that's a wild shirt ensemble Robert, I like it. Hot Buttered Soul with Walk On By was a Monster back in the day. Everybody had it.... "Whoo it's hot but its' good" lol.. The hot sauce routine had me in stitches. My system can't handle the Hot shit anymore. I've gone from hot sauce on my wings to honey and garlic. I was more into hot mustard and hot horseradish than trying the different hot sauces. Why I've even tried Hot Ketchup. LOL
you gotta try "west African voodoo juice" .. its so hot but the flavor is so unique. Ive tried literally hundreds of hot sauce and that's my favorite
I will. Thanks!
29:22 That shit was so hot that you had to pause for station identification.
How could you overlook it? Tabasco. Tobasco sauce. I spelled it 2 ways, so at least one of the spellings is right. Good ol' Tabasco Sauce for me. And I don't listen to anything but Bert Kampefert, Ray Conniff and maybe some Lawrence Welk mixed in. I like bubbles. If I was Neil Armstrong I would have left the golf clubs back on Earth and brought along instead one of those bottles of bubbles where you dip and blow through the hole. I would have wanted to see which way the bubbles would go on the moon. Somewhere having a much different gravity field than Earth. Why did they stop going to the moon? And why are they now planning on starting to go there again? If they really went in the first place that is. There's just nothing up there. Not even air. I'd never want to go someplace that doesn't even have air. If someone told me they're taking me to someplace there's no air. I'd say forget it! Air requires an atmosphere which the moon does not have. No music possible on the moon either. Sound requires air and the vibration of air for there to be a sound. Anyway... what were we talking about? I must have got slightly off track. I must be getting older.
Great video. Thanks.
I like somewhat spicy food but I often stay below the moderate level of hot sauce. Kudos to you for getting through this challenging task. The thing is that when we go over what our body can handle, we start loosing control (sweating, burping, crying, sometimes even barfing). By now you should've gotten back to normal function, I hope :)
Very soon, I feel like I'm going to be too old to handle this. lol
just went back to listen to hot pants single v album cut. Single is indeed superior. Def slower and the bass is just filthy. Always did like lead track Blues & Pants off the album - A kind of reimagining of Hot Pants.
Exactly! I don't like the way they make a point of stating that the only on the album is the "original hit single".
@@RobertFithen don't tell me there are people in the music industry who lack integrity - I thought they were renowned for their high character ;)
That was entertaining,...you poor f'er...lol
both double lp´s are very complete to learn how the rolling stones sounded hot rocks and more hot rocks also the story of the stones it´s a very interesting compilation
Oh my gosh. This video is not real.. hahaha are you kidding me this is awesome man
It was extremely real lol
This is the best one so.far !
Well Robert, it was fun the whole concept and entertaining, but I was worried about you after Da Bomb and the last brand bottle. The best remedy for extremely hot sauces and chiles (peppers) is white bread with salt, water alone won't do it. Other than that, great video that shows your profound knowledge of rock and pop music.
Thanks!
You had me crying also crying laughing
Love the hot sauce.
Have you ever had Nashville hot chicken? I went to Prince's, the original place, which was in a bad neighborhood. They tell you to get the chicken one level less in terms of hotness than you think, and they won't serve the XXX-hot (the hottest) to newbies. I would typically get hot, got medium there and had some "ring of fire" later.
No, but I did go to a place where you had to sign a waiver to try the hot sauce. lol
Fun video. Thanks
Ok...call me clueless, but I've never seen nor heard of the "Hot Ones" show, trend or whatever... and I'm ok with that...I'm however much better with this video which I found fucking hilarious. Unfortunate for my wife I watched it late at night in our bed and woke her up with my laughing.
Not HOT in the title but nothing beats the inside cover of ZZ Top's,Tres Hombres.
I showed it in my Christmas video.
... and i dont put my albums behind like some freak." 🤣😆
awesome
3:47 oh no I put that Sh!t on my tongue!
Awesome as always. Where did you get your cd shelves?
A long time ago from an internet store.
hot stuff by the rolling stones
hot fun in the summertime sly
hot as sun mccartney
hot pants james brown
hot cha jr walker & all stars
hot wire my heart sonic youth
i posted before i finished watching obv. I'm assuming you got most, if not all of these robert
Yeah I only did album titles, but nice mention of "Hot As Sun". I thought I was the only one who liked that one.
@@RobertFithen just recently and belatedly got into solo macca. still think solo john discography is 1# (esp. considering Double Fantasy and Milk and Honey) but I've warmed to Mccartney and that first solo album is one of my favorites of his.
Biker Rock and Beer next ?
Respect Yourself The Stax Story is the name of that Doc btw
Stephen Coronel, the dude that co-wrote Goin' Blind with Gene (and also She, if I rember right & possibly others as he was in the band when they were Wicked Lester) went down for statutory' or something 'minor' (actually, possession of CP)... Two of my favorite KISS songs though. And the creepy protagonist Gene gives voice to in the song; 93, so not quite as big an age gap as if he'd broken a ton. It wouldn't have rolled off the tongue right. Right? 'I'm a hundred and three, you're sixteen...'. Too many syllables for that telling lyric. We're led to belive it's some salty old sea dog who is lamenting a mermaid's inaccessibility. She subsequently went on to grow legs and come to be known as Brooke Shields (citation needed). Hot take? More scandalous and salacious than plain saucy.
Lol, da bomb.......... damn
i remember seeing Hotter than Hell as a little kid. i thought KISS were Superheroes
it has really cool packaging too. 70s albums have the best art
Was the chicken cold after 45 minutes? I think I would have drank milk with cereal instead of the water.
I thought about maybe some ice cream, but worried it would have melted.
One of the funniest videos I've ever seen. I'm guessing you got the idea to do the hot sauce thing first and then got the idea of albums with that theme after. You really took it on the chin in the name of comedy, and you really hit it out of the ballpark. Did you know there is a 2 word album title that has been used by dozens of different artists over the years. It's nothing like Merry Christmas or Introducing The... or anything like that. It's an honest straight forward two word title that has been chosen by dozens of artists for an album title of theirs. Think about it. I'll let you know what it is in your next video. This video will be a hard act to follow.
Thanks!! "Greatest Hits"? lol
@@RobertFithen No, it's not Greatest Hits or anything tricky like that. That would be a trick question. It's legitimate. Great guess though. It's just a legitimate two words that are both common words in the English language, which we use all the time.. I have no idea why so many people named their album by the same name. Some of the artists are Jazz artists, Jazz Fusion artists, female vocalists, country artists etc. It runs the gamut..There are a lot of album titles which we can think of that have been used by several different artists. For instance one of the Beach Boys albums has a title that's been repeated. Their album Friends has been repeated more than once as an album title actually. But dozens of unrelated artists repeating a title? It's really bizzare.
Someone do a wellness check on Fithen.
14:27 😂
Have you had Alice Cooper's hot sauce??
No, I'll have to try it.
@@RobertFithen I ordered some more as a novelty you know to put on my shelf.. but we had to open and try it and it actually wasn't that bad in fact I kind of liked it.
You were lucky that Stevie Wonder record was a gatefold. You had more space to hide your suffering behind. 😂
A lot of the hottest hot sauces are just chili oil and are all heat no flavour, I think that second last one was and as you say just for macho displays where men get their shirts of and quaff tiny cans of coors light while someone sets their house on fire pouring flammable fuels on barbecues or deep frying a turkey.
Coors Light? That's considered high-falootin' around here. Natty Light is the go to for that crowd. lol
@@RobertFithen Where I am there's a thing called Carlsberg Special Brew which has a name that makes you think it's good and not intended as central heating for the unwashed.
☢️So this is what masochism looks like...🧐
